Harvard University, which has a $40 billion private endowment, just received $9 million in Wuhan coronavirus "relief" funding. From the Harvard Crimson:  Harvard University will receive nearly $9 million in aid from the federal government through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, the Department of Education announced last week. The CARES Act — the largest economic stimulus package in American history — was signed into law on March 27. It allocates nearly $14 billion to support higher education institutions during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.Of the $8,655,748 Harvard is slated to receive, the government has mandated that at least half —...

Ruth Marcus and others at the Washington Post who led the effort to destroy Brett Kavanaugh's life based on unsubstantiated allegations know that what they did was evil. The Washington Post has a problem. The newspaper led the massive effort against the nomination of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by publishing and relentlessly hyping a completely unsubstantiated allegation of sexual assault against him. Now, the paper is leading Democrats’ efforts to bury a similar, if stronger, allegation of sexual assault against Joe Biden. To accomplish this dramatic turnabout, the paper is collectively trying to rewrite history, pretending the allegation against...

A new survey shows that Americans want gathering in homes and churches to be allowed right away when the lockdown ends.Asked to prioritize the reopening of various activities and whether it should happen right away, half of the respondents said that allowing people to gather in small groups at someone’s home should happen right away, and 35 percent said churches and other religious gatherings, according to a Scott Rasmussen survey.Thirty-five percent also said that reopening retail stores is a top priority for them and 31 percent said the same about schools.Only 21 percent felt that reopening bars and restaurants should...

Pro-democracy advocates in Hong Kong plan a new round of mass protests against the government this July. The latest conflagration between pan-democrats and Hong Kong and Chinese bureaucrats comes following conflicting statements this weekend over the role of Beijing’s liaison office and Article 22 of the Hong Kong-China Basic Law agreement. The article itself is straightforward. No department of the Central People’s Government and no province, autonomous region, or municipality directly under the Central Government may interfere in the affairs which the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region administers on its own in accordance with this Law.If there is a need...

The one and only accomplishment I can list for last week technically belongs in this week’s column as I didn’t complete the task until yesterday. But since I started working on it a week ago Sunday I’m counting it as last week’s achievement. What sort of onerous task took a whole week you ask? Fixing my mobile phone after a system “update” that’s what. In addition to all the normally annoying things a Samsung update does – turns your notification offs, mutes the ringer, etc., etc. – this time it reset the alarm times on my clock as well. It’s...
  • Harvard Law Prof Calls for Ban on Homeschooling, Saying It's 'Dangerous' to Leave Children with Their Parents 24/7

It's ironic at a time when 56 million children in the U.S. are being homeschooled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that Harvard Magazine would publish an article calling for a ban on homeschooling. The article by Erin O'Donnell, headlined "The Risks of Homeschooling," sets up one straw man after another to make the case that the government must step in to protect children from their own parents—who are presumed guilty and ill-qualified to care for their own children. Elizabeth Bartholet, faculty director of Harvard Law School’s Child Advocacy Program, told the magazine that homeschooling deprives children of their...

French virologist and Nobel Prize winner, Luc Montagnier created a scientific firestorm when he announced during an interview on CNEWS that the coronavirus virus (SARS-CoV-2) was manufactured and leaked from a Wuhan lab in China with HIV (AIDS) DNA. Montagnier stressed that his job as a scientist is not to assign motive: “My job is to present the facts, I do not blame anyone, I don’t know who did this and why,” the scientist said. Montagnier was the 2008 winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine for the identification of the virus responsible for AIDS. Montagnier proclaimed he is one...

In 2004's preachy, much panned leftist mockumentary, A Day without a Mexican, the supposedly hypothetical scenario, about how California would fall apart if all its Mexicans, including illegals, somehow disappeared, was acted out.  The film had a grand old time portraying white people as a bunch of soft, privileged fools, unable to clean even their own toilets. This is annoying because it lumps most Americans into a stereotype of a typically feckless, over-monied limousine liberal, such as you might really find in Hollywood circles. But it did raise the question of U.S. dependence on illegal foreign labor. Seems we might just be experiencing that now with the big meat...

Sir Richard Branson has told staff that Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia will need financial help if they are to survive the coronavirus crisis. The tycoon used an open letter to his 70,000 staff in 35 countries to reassure them he was "working day and night", doing all he could to invest across his business interests despite "no money coming in and lots going out". He admitted his companies were exposed to many of the sectors worst affected by the COVID-19 pandemic - travel and leisure included - and also hit out at critics who have suggested he use his...

BERLIN (Reuters) - Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed her frustration in a party meeting on Monday that moves to edge Germany out of lockdown had led to “discussion orgies” in some regions that risked higher rates of coronavirus infection, German media reported. Some German retailers began reopening on Monday, along with car and bicycle dealers, and bookstores, under an agreement Merkel reached with state leaders last Wednesday.

BEIJING/SHANGHAI - China’s health authority called for a stronger and more rigorous testing regime to ensure that the new coronavirus does not escape detection, whether in travellers arriving from abroad or from other parts of the country. All localities must improve their testing capabilities, including those at border crossings, and report any epidemic information in a timely manner, the National Health Commission cited its director Ma Xiaowei as saying. Ma made the comments on Saturday, but they were released by the ministry on Monday. China, where the new virus emerged late last year, reported 12 new confirmed cases on April...
  • Harvard Professor Wants A ‘Presumptive Ban‘ On Homeschooling, Claims It Promotes White Supremacy

In a shocking essay for Harvard Magazine, a professor of law and director of Harvard Law School’s child advocacy legal clinic, claims homeschooling is a threat to children’s rights, a method of promoting white supremacy, and a drain on democratic society — and even goes so far as to suggest a national “presumptive ban” on the practice. Harvard is playing host to a “homeschooling summit,” slated to take place (at least digitally) June 18-19, according to the Daily Caller News Foundation. But Harvard’s concern isn’t so much whether homeschooling is a viable, cost-effective, and comfortable method of education for many...

Think I am going to be topping off my gas tank every time I go out. I saw a report the other day where there was a gas station in the Midwest that had 12 cents a gallon. Right now ever gas station is filled. The gas trucks are on hold ,and we even have ships that cannot deliver sitting off the coasts because there are no trucks and port is full. It's a good time to buy the dip. Nevertheless, this economy needs to be turned back on.

FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCSC) - Four Lowcountry beach communities have agreed to continue island restrictions even as governor McMaster is expected to re-open beach access early next week. Leaders with Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, Folly Beach and Edisto Beach have been in contact with county officials since finding out about the governor’s plans. “People should not assume that because one regulation is relaxed, that the threat has passed,” Sullivan’s Island Mayor Patrick O’Neil said. “It will be very important for people to distinguish between being able to have access to the beach per say, versus having access to the...

The FBI is a national disgrace. If there were any justice, Congress would defund, disband and totally dismantle this corrupt racketeering enterprise that engineered the greatest scandal in American political history. Then, as an object lesson to any future would-be plotters against the Constitution, the FBI’s hideous headquarters on Pennsylvania Avenue would be razed and the ruins sown with salt. Finally, after a nationally televised exorcism, the entire FBI property could be paved over and converted into something more beneficial to society, like, say, a parking lot. The FBI — it used to stand for Fidelity, Bravery and Integrity. Now...

As we hunker down under social distancing and stay-at-home orders, the Chinese coronavirus continues to extract a human toll in actual illness, as well as under-reported socio-economic costs. Many businesses are closed, people are not working, not earning an income, unable to socialize with friends and family. The human tragedy that follows the virus will be horrific. Drug addiction, alcoholism, mental health issues, domestic violence, homelessness, and suicides may extract a toll far worse than the virus. Yet these costs are given scant attention, leaving the focus on ICU beds, hydroxychloroquine, and death counts. When will the restrictions be lifted?...

Healthcare workers clashed with anti lockdown protesters in Colorado on Sunday, defiantly standing in front of the cars of demonstrators who flocked to the state Capitol in their hundreds to urge Gov. Jared Polis to lift COVID-19-induced stay-at-home orders. Protests against state lockdowns implemented to combat the novel coronavirus outbreak continued nationwide this afternoon, as a fervent disdain for the restrictions that have shut down much of the country's economy continues to slowly spread across the US. Titled 'Operation Gridlock', the day's largest demonstration took place in Denver, where hundreds of protesters ignored social distancing guidelines to huddle together on...

VIDEO Pick Me! PICK MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Most political endorsements consists of one politician praising another and giving some reasons why that person deserves your vote. End of story. However, Elizabeth Warren took it to the extreme in the form of a warm, tongue bathing, overlong slick commercial which was supposedly an endorsement of Sleepy Joe Biden but in reality was her laughably pathetic plea begging to be picked as his running mate. Enjoy the comedy entertainment of Warren on her knees begging (in the form of of a an incredibly pandering endorsement) for Joe to place her on the Democrat...
