C-SPAN's coverage of the 39th annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) continues Friday with speeches by the leading presidential candidates and Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell. The three top GOP candidates for the Republican nomination -- former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum -- are taking a break from the campaign trial to address attendees. Rep. Ron Paul was invited to speak but will instead continue campaigning.

My take on the Florida Primary: First there was South Carolina where the Conservative base rallied to push Newt Gingrich over the top instead of Mitt Romney, the GOP establishment RINO darling. The establishment went into meltdown mode after South Carolina. Now Florida’s winner-take-all primary has become the latest firewall in the Tea Party’s and grassroots Conservatives’ fight to stop Romney from a pre-ordained coronation by elite party insiders.

For those in Florida who haven't been to polls yet, I urge you to consider the questionable values of the 'squeaky clean' image he tries to portray.
