My grandmother had a boating accident and her AK-47 got dumped into the lake. Now she’s looking for a replacement. She has $500 from winning 1st prize for pickled beets at last year’s state fair and can kick in another $700 from her kitty cat fund. So her budget is set at $1,200. The Bulgarian 7.62x39mm SAM7R-51 from Arsenal appeals to her. Atlantic Firearms has a Polish AK47 Rifle WBP Classic Wood W/ Range Pack on sale for $979 and an AK47 Rifle Battlefield Pick-Up Romy VPG for $739. Do any of you FReepers have experience with these rifles? Pros...

Soon you'll be able to buy an American-made Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov USA, which split from its Russian parent company three years ago, will start selling a semiautomatic 12-gauge shotgun called the KS-12 in February, CEO Brian Skinner told CNNMoney. The gun is being produced at a new factory in Pompano Beach, Florida, and will probably cost at least $750. Skinner said the company is still trying to determine the price, which depends on the cost of manufacturing. Later this year, the company will start selling a semiautomatic 9-millimeter pistol, with a carbine version to follow. Kalashnikov USA also has plans to...

The maker of the AK-47 semi-automatic machine gun says it is to increase staff by 30 percent because of a surge in export orders. The Kalashnikov Group put out a press release from its Moscow office Monday stating that it will create a further 1,700 jobs this year. "Following the growth of production volume, which was driven by the rise in the number of export orders, it was decided to increase the number of the Group's employees," said Alexey Krivoruchko, chief executive of the Kalashnikov Group.

From its very beginning the AK-47 was designed to be a simple, reliable automatic rifle that could be manufactured quickly and cheaply, using mass production methods by the Soviet Union during the beginning of the cold war. This weapon can be found any where in the world for its reliability and afford ability. Once it made its way to the United States, the weapon is now America’s second favorite to our AR-15 among the shooting enthusiasts. (oops, that’s another debate) To fully appreciate the functionality of this fabulous weapon, take a look at it in full action and be amaze...

The debate goes on between these two famous guns. The folks from AK47 Local Union did a live-fire barrel test between a Daniel’s Defense AR-15 against the classic Vepr AK-47. These two guns have gone head-to-head on battlefields across the world early in the "cold war" to current terrorist threats, but how will they fare in this range competition? See the results here.

On Sunday, 21 August, 2016, at a little after 8 p.m., at a Texaco gas station in Atlanta, a gunfight erupted.  Most of it was caught on video. A hat tip to Beardedrambler at TTAG.  He pointed me toward the video. The videos show a sequence of events where the driver of the black Charger is threatened by a man who flashes a pistol. The driver retrieves an AK 47 clone of a pistol and drives off the pistol flasher, who he says offered to sell him some "weed". The video was posted online on 22 August.  Two days...

The woman who struggles with confusion in everything she attempts addressed the House members. She said, “It is important as this Congress begins to deal with the confusion of the continuing resolution that it be noted that we have not addressed the question of gun violence, ending gun violence, closing the loop hole that is so important in a background check.” She complains that those who are on the terror watch list have random access to buying guns. Pick up a loaded AK clone, point it at your boyfriend's face at point blank range while you pin him to the bed.  The gun just "went off".  He is dead, and the woman is charged with negligent homicide. I wonder if Rosario was right handed.  Are those bruises below her left eye? The articles note that Gabriella does not have any prior arrests.  I found two for a Rosario Soto Leon in the Phoenix area, one on March 7th, another on April 20th, both in Maricopa County. Without further ID, it is impossible to know if it is...

Massachusetts gun stores are attempting to redefine their businesses in the weeks since the state’s attorney general effectively ended the sale of all AR-15s and AK-47s in the state. Per the measure, any vendors who continued selling the so-called “copycat” firearms violated the ban and could face fines, prison time and/or lose their Federal Firearms License. Greg Malany, owner of GFA ArmsTec, said the outright ban sent his shop into utter chaos as he had only a few hours to move his remaining inventory. “There was no warning,” Malany told The Milford Daily News. “It came completely out of...
