It was only a couple of months ago that Mitt Romney told a Republican debate audience in Arizona that the state was a “model” for the nation on immigration. If elected president, he said, he would immediately drop the lawsuits that the Obama administration has filed “against Arizona and other states that are trying to do the job Barack Obama isn’t doing.” That was then. I can't keep up with what Romney is supposedly going to go with concerning illegals. First it was the ridiculous idea from Romney that illegals will self-deport. Remember Daniel D. Portado? Then there was the buzz that some kind of Kobach plan would emerge. Now there is supposedly going to be some type of Rubio Quasi-Dream Act. Who knows what Romney is going to go with. I guess more poll testing, and/or focus group work from the Romney campaign is needed before a plan emerges.

PROGRESO — Border Patrol agents are searching for a driver involved in a car wreck that sent 12 illegal immigrants to the hospital Saturday morning. Border Patrol agents spotted the vehicle and immigrants about 9:30 a.m. Saturday off a dirt road near Farm-to-Market Road 1015 and Rio Rico Road. Agents called emergency medical services and the Progreso Police Department, according to a statement sent out by Border Patrol. Twelve people went to the hospital for precautionary measures and one refused treatment. The 12 immigrants have been released from the hospital.
