It appears that both Kate Steinle and Alison Parker were selected for death for being joyful, lovely American women living blessed lives. Alison Parker and Adam Ward, a reporter and cameraman for CBS Roanoke affiliate WDBJ-TV, died in the shooting, Parker's mother confirmed to CBS News.
