The San Diego Sheriff's Department has just found 13-year-old Madison Wilson of Oceanside. Thank you to everyone who shared her picture. But the search for the girl led 10News to a frightening lapse in the Amber Alert system due to the Government shutdown. This was the message we found on www.amberalert.gov while trying to search for information about Madison's disappearance.

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A suspect was in custody Monday for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl, who remains missing. A statewide Amber Alert was issued Sunday for Eunice Serrato of San Ardo after the teen was allegedly taken by 39-year-old Juan Manuel Salazar Sr. and his son around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department. New York police have issued an Amber Alert for a 4-month-old believed to be with his parents in Massachusetts. The boy's father is Matthew Slocum, 23, who is wanted for questioning for a triple murder committed early Wednesday morning in New York state. The victims were found Wednesday after a house fire in Eagle Bridge, N.Y. Police believe Slocum is travelling with his girlfriend, Loretta Colegrove, 25, and their child, Raymond Slocum. COOKE COUNTY - The Amber Alert for a 12-year-old boy has been canceled. James Anthony Sanders has been found and officials said he is okay. The alert for Sanders was issued by the Cooke County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday. The alert came six days after the little boy went missing. Sanders’ mother was attacked on June 17. After that incident, investigators started searching for the child’s father, Michael Louis Sanders. Officials are not releasing a lot of details, but investigators believed the boy was with his estranged father.
