JACKSON, Ky. (WYMT) - A Kentucky ambulance driver is suing a law enforcement officer after the ambulance was pulled over with a patient inside. Jason Crigger, an EMT with Arrow-Med Ambulance, Inc., claims Breathitt County Special Deputy Steve McIntosh pulled over the ambulance for no good reason and harassed the crew. McIntosh denied he did anything wrong and claims the lawsuit is nothing more than retaliation for a separate suit he filed against Arrow-Med last year.

A commercial ambulance crew told the Department of Health they were swarmed by about 30 ATV and motorcycle riders on March 23 on Michigan Avenue near North Capitol Street. Fountain Hill police said video surveillance shows a woman stealing an ambulance Monday from the emergency room entrance at St. Luke's University Hospital-Fountain Hill. Jeremy Hunt yesterday unveiled a pilot scheme that will give operators an extra two minutes to assess 999 calls before dispatching paramedics.
