Move over Keith Olbermann, you may have been replaced as Ann Coulter’s favorite MSNBC host. Rachel Maddow currently holds this title. As a part of the writing process Coulter makes a conscious effort not to read other conservative’s opinions so as not to influence her work, she said. As a result, she regularly hears the opinion from the other side, including those on MSNBC, a left-leaning television news station. When The Daily Caller asked Coulter who her favorite MSNBC host was she explained the problem with Olbermann. “Well obviously [my favorite] was Keith. But sadly, he is gone. Even MSNBC...

Governor Abercrombie was part of the same early 1960s University of Hawaii Marxist student clique as Obama’s parents, Barack Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham. As he likes to say, “I was here when that baby was born.” Abercrombie’s wife, UH Prof. Nancie Caraway, was a member of the Democratic Socialists of America National Feminist Commission in the mid-1980s. Caraway’s 1991 book, Segregated Sisterhood, is dedicated to Abercrombie and to former Communist Party member Bettina Aptheker, among others. Abercrombie denies ever having been a member of the DSA, but several editions of the DSA organ, the Democratic Left, describe Abercrombie...

The Ann Arbor school district is investigating the actions - and legality - surrounding a field trip organized exclusively for black students at Dicken Elementary School last week. Superintendent Todd Roberts said the idea to take 30 black students to hear a special presentation by a black University of Michigan scientist was well-intentioned. But Roberts conceded the execution of that trip and its aftermath might not have been appropriate.

An Ann Arbor elementary school principal used a letter home to parents tonight to defend a field trip for black students as part of his school’s efforts to close the achievement gap between white and black students. Dicken Elementary School Principal Mike Madison wrote the letter to parents following several days of controversy at the school after a field trip last week in which black students got to hear a rocket scientist. “In hindsight, this field trip could have been approached and arranged in a better way," Madison wrote. "But as I reflect upon the look of excitement, enthusiasm and...

Commie thugs are after Ann Coulter again! An open letter to the University of Calgary regarding their staff member's plan to shut down the Ann Coulter speech:Dear University of Calgary I am writing to you about Jason Devine, who is an MA student at the University of Calgary. http://hist.ucalgary.ca/profiles/jason-corey-devine I emailed the University a few weeks ago because the Calgary Anti-Racist Action, a group that Jason Devine leads, was conducting a postering campaign against a young, female student on your campus, claiming that she was associated with the Aryan Guard. It turned out that the first round of posters resulted...

It cannot be said often enough that the chief of staff of the United States Army, Gen. George Casey, responded to a massacre of 13 Americans in which the suspect is a Muslim by saying: "Our diversity ... is a strength." As long as the general has brought it up: Never in recorded history has diversity been anything but a problem. Look at Ireland with its Protestant and Catholic populations, Canada with its French and English populations, Israel with its Jewish and Palestinian populations

I’m not the biggest Ann Coulter fan out there. I think she says things that are way out of line just for the controversy, and attention for selling books. However, when we learned that Teddy Kennedy had brain cancer we didn’t make jokes about it. It would have been easy to do, but we asked our readers to pray for him. This is what makes conservatives different than most liberals! We don’t celebrate the tragedies of others just because we don’t like them, with perhaps the exception of Fred Phelps and his cult where we might make an exception. However,...

THAT although we didn't think it would be pos sible to silence Ann Coulter, the leggy reaction- ary broke her jaw and the mouth that roared has been wired shut . . .

The story of Rush Limbaugh reminds me of a movie you wouldn’t believe could ever happen in real life. Forging his own path against all odds and under constant attack, in the end, the hero triumphs! I knew about the prominent Limbaugh family before I ever heard of Rush. I clerked for a federal appeals court judge in Kansas City after law school, and every lawyer in the Midwest has heard of the Limbaughs–the Limbaugh judges, the Limbaugh lawyers, the Limbaugh courthouse. But Rush spurned the law, spurned college and went on radio. He wanted to be on radio, so...

Image of St. Ann With the Child Mary in St. Anthony of Padua Church, St. Louis, Missouri, USA (The following is excerpted from Dom Prosper Guéranger's entry in The Liturgical Year for 26 July in Volume XIII of the 1983 Marian House edition of the English translation by the Benedictines of Stanbrook.) "Anne was, as it were, the starting-point of redemption, the horizon scanned by the prophets, the first span of the heavens to be empurpled with the rising fires of dawn; the blessed soil whose produce was so pure as to make the angels believe that Eden had been...

The other day I wrote a thread reflecting upon the question of what Ann Coulter has done to win people over to the cause of conservatism. I explained that she had for years been a women I admired and agree with her on just about every political belief. My thesis was that she is a great entertainer and has enriched herself as a result as she appeals to those who don't need a physician but her delivery is so obnoxious and un-pallatable that she wouldn't win anyone over to the cause even if she is correct. Someone replied to me...

A six-month-old zebra named Ann Curry is back where she belongs after an escape from a Florida zoo on New Year's Eve. The wild animal ran off while it was being transported to North Carolina, so it could be bred with another zebra, said Nancy Mitchell of the Shell Factory Zoo. The truck driver taking Ann had pulled over, opened the horse trailer to give her water. And that's when the zebra made her move. The zebra ran through neighborhoods for about an hour before getting caught, Mitchell said. No one was hurt by the zebra. The striped animal was...

Ann Coulter Mad Libs How easy is it for the conservative provocateur to offend? Joel Stein November 2, 2007 Ann Coulter said recently that Jews like me could be "perfected" by becoming Christian. Of course she didn't express that in the most sensitive way possible. If she had said, "I could be wrong, but I personally get so much joy from the Gospels, I'd love for my Jewish friends to come to church with me one Sunday and give it a look-see," she would not be so controversial. Though she would be more annoying. After all these years of Coultering,...

Here's what I like about Ann Romney. She's not a victim. She doesn't act like a victim. Never asks for anyone's pity. Rarely mentions that she has a serious neurological disease at all. She's not a cause. Or a platform. A crusade. Or a cheerleader. She's just Ann. A woman married to the same guy for nearly 40 years, convinced he'd make a good president. You can agree or disagree on that. No disagreeing with her passion. Or commitment. Or selfless campaign style. She's a role model without ever intending to be. Because as she told me on this very...

Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, finds strength in her family and her horses – and she's emerging as a potent political force this campaign season. "Ann deserves a lot of credit," says GOP pollster Neil Newhouse. "Politicians talk about family values, Ann and Mitt Romney live them." Her husband calls her "one of America's great moms" – a description she's "totally satisfied with." Mrs. Romney, 58, invited PEOPLE into the sunshine-yellow sitting room of her Belmont, Mass., home on June 12 to talk about her Mormon faith, raising five boys, living with...
