Helen Thomas Defends Comments That Ended Career (Dearborn, MI) -- Former White House correspondent Helen Thomas is not apologizing for the anti-Semitic comments that resulted in her being fired earlier this year. The 90-year-old grew up in Detroit and was in Dearborn, Michigan Thursday for an Arab Detroit workshop on anti-Arab bias. Thomas told the "Detroit Free Press" she paid the price for saying Jews needed to "go home" to Poland and Germany and get out of "Palestine," but added quote, "it was worth it, to speak the truth." Thomas went on to say quote, "Congress, the White House and...

J Street has launched a campaign in support of Washington's firm stance on Israel's latest approved building plan in East Jerusalem, the dovish U.S. pro-Israel lobby announced on Tuesday. Israel's announcement of plans to build 1,600 housing units in East Jerusalem strained ties with the U.S., which has said it regarded last week's decision - made public while Vice President Joe Biden was in Israel - as an insult. Recent U.S.-Israel tensions were used by "hawkish pro-Israel activists," according to the announcement posted on J Street's website, "to attack the Obama Administration over Israel, urging the Administration to slow down...

IN early January two black Audi A6 limousines drove up to the main gate of a building on a small hill in the northern suburbs of Tel Aviv: the headquarters of Mossad, the Israeli secret intelligence agency, known as the “midrasha”. Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, stepped out of his car and was greeted by Meir Dagan, the 64-year-old head of the agency. Dagan, who has walked with a stick since he was injured in action as a young man, led Netanyahu and a general to a briefing room. Mossad spy agency chief Meir Dagan According to sources with...

(IsraelNN.com) Four U.S. senators, including White House hopefuls John McCain, a Republican from Arizona, and Joe Lieberman, an Independent from Connecticut, vowed during a visit to Israel Sunday that Congress would not approve cutting loan guarantees to the Jewish State. They were reacting to U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell, who proposed the option during an interview with American television journalist Charlie Rose. Mitchell later denied that he made a threat or an “implied threat" although a transcript of the interview states, “Under American law, the United States can withhold support on loan guarantees to Israel.

Despicable: Sean Vannity Hosts Anti-Semite Ex-Con on Yom Kippur, Allows Him to Rant About “The JOOOS” Did you hear Sean Hannity’s radio show, yesterday? I don’t listen to the time-robbing ignorant blather that is a shabby re-run of the previous three hours of the far superior Rush Limbaugh show. And I was observing Yom Kippur then, anyway. But readers have informed me that, yesterday, Vannity hosted an anti-Semite and mostly stood by as the anti-Semite went on and on about the Jews and how bad they are. The anti-Semite is disgraced former Congressman Jim Traficant (real name, Traficante), who is...

The Democratic National Committee has a website set up to attack potential McCain running mates as "The Next Cheney" (if only); if you want to see there are pages dedicated to Bobby Jindal, Mitt Romney, John Thune, Tom Ridge, Tim Pawlenty, Carly Fiorina, Charlie Crist, Fred Smith and Eric Cantor. Lest there be any doubt as to the origins of this site, there's a disclaimer at the bottom of each page: "Paid for by the Democratic National Committee — 430 S. Capitol St. SE, Washington DC 20003." If you go to the page on Congressman Cantor, you will see a...

The Lone Star Times has found an embarrassing donation in the Ron Paul records. The new husband of David Duke’s ex-wife Chloe and a supremacist in his own right gave $500 to Paul’s campaign, which reignited a past controversy of an earlier Paul campaign. It also calls into question just how much responsibility a candidate has for its uninvited donors: A LoneStarTimes.com investigation has conclusively established that a leading figure in the American neo-Nazi / White-Supremacist movement has provided financial support to Ron Paul’s 2008 Presidential campaign. The individual in question is Don Black, the founder, owner and operator of...

Obama's Pastor sounds more like a hate spewing imam. I am shocked this hasn't gotten real media play (oh yeah, it's Obama.) The more you peel back the layers of the Obama onion, the more rotten it is at its core. Obama's checkered resume. A FEW WEEKS AGO ON MSNBC SHOW WITH TUCKER CARLSON: CARLSON: But Jeremiah Wright is at least a mixed bag politically. His work to improve conditions in impoverished black neighborhoods may be laudable, but his rhetoric includes attacks against white people and against Israel. Should Obama distance himself from Dr. Wright, and if so, can he...

To live peacefully with Muslims and Jews, Christians must put aside the notion that their faith requires the creation of a Christian kingdom on Earth, a Lipscomb University theologian told an interfaith gathering at the university. "We are not going to get very far in our relationship with Jews or Muslims if we do not let go of this idea," Lipscomb professor Lee Camp said at Tuesday's conference. The unusual gathering of several dozen clergy and lay people was devoted to resolving religious conflict in Nashville and around the world. "We need to forsake the Christendom model," Camp said. "The...

If a long-time member of Congress lost a primary battle for re-election, and his/her campaign entourage shouted racial epithets at reporters and about her opponent after defeat, do you think this would have been on the evening news? Well, if said member of Congress was a Democrat, the answer apparently is “no,” for not one of the broadcast networks felt it was newsworthy to report Tuesday evening's events involving Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Georgia). For those that haven’t heard, McKinney’s campaign entourage now includes members of the New Black Panthers. After her primary defeat Tuesday to Hank Johnson for Georgia’s 4th...

He previously asked for cash just for the filing. He now wants a whole lot more cash to pursue legal action. He's asking for donations, since (surprise, surprise) his lawyer won't work on a contingency basis. The strong of stomach can read the whole thing at http://www.tedrall.com/rants.html. November 6, 2004 Canadian Muslim community dealing with fallout from leaders' remarks By STEVE MERTL VANCOUVER (CP) - Analysts linked to the intelligence community say they worry North America's Muslim community is being radicalized, but some Canadian Muslims reject suggestions their community is monolithic or intolerant. The concern over radicalization surfaced last month amid reaction to intolerant remarks from two Muslim leaders and reports that one of the men's followers turned up dead with Muslim rebels in Chechnya. The incidents triggered a predictable spasm of outrage and demands the "Muslim community" distance itself from those viewpoints. Critics say moderation within...

Abu Dhabi: The Muslim world needs a strong media presence to counter Western propaganda that damages the image of Islam, an American Muslim leader told Gulf News. Responding to a question about the media in the West and its portrayal of Islam and Muslims, Khalid Ahmad, president of American Congress of Muslim Youth, said it was the weaknesses of Muslims that had led to the deteriorating image of Islam. "To an American, most of the terrorist activities are coming from the Muslim world. I suggest Muslims need to have a strong media front to counter the Western media and improve...

I have argued in this column that the greatest sin is committing evil in God's name. As bad as the evil committed by secularists, such as communists and Nazis, has ever been, the most grievous evil is that which is committed in the name of God. For not only do religious evils harm their victims, they also do lasting damage to God-based morality, which those of us who believe in God and religion consider the only viable antidote to evil. That is why Islamic terror is so evil. Not only because it targets the most innocent of people for death...

By Paul Sperry © 2004 WorldNetDaily.com WASHINGTON -- A top textbook consultant shaping classroom education on Islam in American public schools recently worked for a school funded and controlled by the Saudi government, which propagates a rigidly anti-Western strain of Islam, a WorldNetDaily investigation reveals. The consultant, Susan L. Douglass, has also praised Pakistan's madrassa schools as "proud symbols of learning," even after the U.S. government blamed them for fueling the rise of the Taliban and al-Qaida. Douglass, routinely described as a "scholar" or "historian," has edited manuscripts of world history textbooks used by middle and high school students across...

Fire gutted the Merkaz HaTorah Jewish secondary school in the Paris suburb of Gagny in the Seine-Saint-Denis region Saturday morning at 3am. There were no injuries. Fire started simultaneously in two separate places on the first floor of the school where works were under way. A primary school and a kindergarten for 200 children were to be inaugurated there in January 2004. The arsonist or arsonists broke into the building through a ground floor window. About 100 firefighters were called in to put out the flames, which destroyed some 3,000 square metres on the school's second floor. France's Minister of...

BUSH & BLAIR CHOKE ON THE FALLOUT FROM SEPTEMBER THE 11TH Press Release Dated 17th August 2003Almost two years on from September the 11th 2001 the world embraces itself for another anniversary. Many Muslims worldwide will be celebrating the comeuppance of the USA in what they see as retribution for the atrocities that the US has committed, and indeed continues to commit, against Muslims. Afghanistan and Iraq being the most recent examples. With 1000's of innocent Muslims still in captivity under barbaric conditions in Guantanamo bay, the US inquisition against Islam and Muslims shows no signs of subsiding....

Harry Truman reached out from the grave last week and exposed the media’s double standard when it comes to judging Democrats and Republicans. A librarian at the Truman Library in Independence, Missouri, discovered a 1947 diary of Truman’s that had been sitting unopened on a shelf for some four decades. The book contained the following edifying remarks: “The Jews, I find, are very, very selfish. They care not how many Estonians, Latvians, Finns, Poles, Yugoslavs or Greeks get murdered or mistreated as D[isplaced] P[ersons] as long as the Jews get special treatment. Yet when they have power, physical, financial or...

WASHINGTON - Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., was forced out of his party leadership post Friday after a furor over his remarks about the role of American Jews in a possible war with Iraq. Moran stepped down from his position as regional whip at the insistence of Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California. In a statement, Pelosi said she spoke to Moran on Friday and he agreed to accept responsibility and give up his post. "I have taken this action because Congressman Moran's irresponsible remarks were a serious mistake," Pelosi said. "As I said earlier this week, his comments were not...

State Sen. Leslie L. Byrne (Fairfax) said yesterday that she may challenge U.S. Rep. James P. Moran Jr. for the 2004 Democratic nomination in Virginia's 8th District, the most visible sign of what party leaders say is Moran's precarious political position after he suggested that Jews were pushing the nation into war with Iraq. As the bipartisan furor over Moran's remarks continued on Capitol Hill, with six Jewish House colleagues urging him to leave Congress at the end of his current term, Byrne emerged as the most vocal of several Northern Virginia Democrats itching for the opportunity to challenge the...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Virginia Rep. Jim Moran, strongly criticized by colleagues and Jewish leaders, apologized Tuesday for his comments that Jewish support for war with Iraq was helping the administration move toward an attack. The northern Virginia Democrat apologized for remarks he made at a March 3 forum at a local church. Moran, 57, told a crowd of about 120 people, "If it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq we...
