CHARDON, Ohio – One of the three women held captive in a Cleveland home for about a decade told a crowd she has been able to forgive her kidnapper and find peace in her life. Knight, who was kidnapped in August 2002 when she was 21, said she realizes now that Ariel Castro had a disease, and therapy has taught her that what he did hadn't been his fault, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reported.

Ohio corrections officials say Ariel Castro who held three women captive in his home for nearly a decade has committed suicide at a state prison facility. Spokeswoman JoEllen Smith says 53-year-old Castro was found hanging in his cell around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient. Prison medical staff performed CPR before Castro was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

As Ariel Castro, the convicted kidnapper, rapist and baby killer, shuffled off in chains to the hoosegow, I thought why was there so little reportage or commentary about his idiotic statement made in an Ohio courtroom. Is it because the man himself is so repugnant? Is it because his transgressions against society are so repulsive? I think it is both and one thing more. Americans have heard all this claptrap before. We are familiar with the rumblings of a sociopath. A sociopath, in plain language unadorned by the psychiatrists' hocus-pocus, is a person who does not know right from wrong,...

Guilt or innocence was never really the big question at hand in the bizarre and sickening case of Ariel Castro, the Ohio-area man who kidnapped three women, imprisoned them in his home, repeatedly raped them, and starved and beat one victim into having multiple miscarriages. Shortly after the three women were finally returned to freedom back in May, however, the big question that arose was whether Castro could face the death penalty for deliberately killing the victim’s children in the womb. In Ohio, causing “the unlawful termination of another’s pregnancy” against her will constitutes aggravated murder, and the death penalty...

I took down the post about Charles Ramsey's past. The extension of the man's fifteen minutes is irritating to me, but I suppose I'm more irritated with the people who have tried to turn him into the next Antoine Dodson. One of the reasons that the Dodson bit and Bed Intruder is funny and entertaining is that nothing all that bad happened. There was a break-in, a failed rape attempt and a clumsy escape which left the Dodsons traumatized for a short time. The interview—which was with the actual victims, not a bystander—was the perfect example of what Nipsey Washington...

The terrible ten year rape/ kidnapping ordeal suffered by three innocent Cleveland women at the hands of Ariel Castro, a registered Democrat (look it up) may yet put the baby killing crowd at NARAL and NOW in a web of their own evil lies. Their captivity included daily rapes and the predictable pregnancies that followed. The startling evidence shows Castro’s depravity extended to stomach punching pregnant victims to cause miscarriages thereby murdering at least five innocent babies. That Castro’s crimes are revolting and demand the death penalty is a widely held sentiment; but what will women’s organizations do or say?...

Saturday's edition of Saturday Night Live mocked the House Oversight Committee's hearings last week on the Benghazi terror attacks, substituting convicted murderer Jodi Arias for the State Department whistleblowers who came forward to testify about the deaths of four American diplomats on Sep. 11, 2012. SNL cast the hearings as a "partisan witch-hunt" in which Republicans tried to sensationalize the deaths for political gain, using the week's notorious criminals--including alleged kidnapper and rapist Ariel Castro--to gain media attention. The sketch, which opened the show, acknowledged that the media had not covered the Benghazi scandal--but instead of making fun of the...

According to voter registration records, Ariel Castro, the Cleveland kidnapper, is a registered Democrat. He was also the alleged leader among the three Castro brothers, who were arrested this week, and the owner of the house at 2207 Seymour Ave., where the three abducted local women had been kept in captivity for over a decade. Why is this important? Whenever a crime or a scandal captures national attention, the pattern in the mainstream media is to either identify the culprit as a Republican or hold silence -- in which case we can rest assured that the culprit is a Democrat....
