In the last post I put up, I showed you how the terrorists use the videos that they post at YouTube. Now I'd like to show you what some of those videos are about. I was surfing around terrorist websites and found this gem. The site is Ansar al-Mujahideen, which is a website for the Mujahideen terrorists (as you might suspect from their name.) Here are some screen caps of the page, with an anonymized link. This video is produced by As-Sahab, the media wing of Al Qaeda. Their logo is plainly visible in the lower right corner of...

SNIPPET: "According to one of my most trusted sources, the blurry image seen on the tape is indeed Osama bin Laden. One of the reasons that this is convincing is that the blurry image remains in the video. As Sahab, which produces al Qaeda's propaganda, is very selective in the information it releases, and rarely leaves garbage in its videos. As Sahab intentionally leaves in this clip, for reasons unknown. Does al Qaeda want to generate a buzz? Is this a hidden message? Perhaps this is a precursor to a new bin Laden tape?"

Ayman al Zawahiri, al Qaeda's second in command, has sung the praises of former Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud on a videotape produced by As Sahab and distributed on jihadi forums. Zawahiri used Baitullah's death to praise the Taliban's fight against NATO and the US in Afghanistan. But Zawahiri especially focused on Baitullah's role in the attempt to smash the Pakistani state. The following translation is a portion of Zawahiri's tape: Read more: http://www.longwarjournal.org/threat-matrix/archives/2009/09/zawahiri_eulogizes_baitullah_m.php

Al Qaeda's second-in-command on Friday accused the United States of leading a crusade to turn Pakistan into a divided nation and urged Pakistanis to join in a jihad to resist. The tape from Ayman al-Zawahri, the second this month, comes after Pakistani Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud was killed in a U.S. missile strike on Aug. 5. It also comes after Pakistan's army went on the offensive in late April against an insurgency by al Qaeda allies, the Taliban, in Swat valley after the militants took over the district 120 km (80 miles) from Islamabad, raising fears for Pakistan's stability and...

SNIPPET: "Readers, we have a glitch in the al-Qaida Matrix. This is a 30 minute audio by, Shaykh Mansur al-Shami, entitled, “Advice to the People of Jihad.” I’ve seen his name a bunch over the past several years but only in writing, when he pens articles for the magazines, The Vanguards of Khorasan and Al-Sumud. There is also an “Abu Mansur al-Shami” whose poetry has been quoted by Bin Laden himself and whose work appears in the jihadist magazines. I don’t know if they are one-in-the-same. If so, the below list is incomplete as I have not included his writings...

Al Qa’eda is revelling in the global financial crisis that it proclaims heralds the downfall of the “crusading” American superpower – and Osama bin Laden’s terror network is claiming credit for the turmoil. A video from the organisation’s prolific as-Shahab media group identified the primary cause of the West’s economic woes as “the abortive and unsustainable crusades” that “enemies of Islam” are waging in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq. There was, however, no mention of subprime mortgages, credit derivatives or a host of other solely financial mishaps cited by western commentators as reasons for the economic crisis. Jihadi websites, furthermore, did...

How The West Was Won The rapid and unexpected decline of the Sunni insurgency in Iraq was officially recognized this week, when Maj. Gen. John Kelly, commanding the Marine Expeditionary Force, turned operational control of Anbar Province over to the Iraqi army and police. Anbar, a vast expanse of desert the size of North Carolina, had been the stronghold of the Sunni insurgency. For years, foreign fighters loyal to al-Qaida had sneaked across Iraq's northwestern border with Syria, into Anbar and down a "rat line" of safe houses in Haditha, Ramadi and Hit. From Fallujah, the arch terrorist Zarqawi...

Hackers prevented Al Qaeda from releasing a videotape to mark the seventh anniversary of 9/11. Al Qaeda has traditionally issued a video or audiotape by either Osama bin Laden or Ayman al Zawahiri, the terror network’s two leaders, to mark their massive terrorist attack on the US. As-Sahab, Al Qaeda’s media unit, had indicated earlier this week that it would post such a videotape on September 11. As-Sahab had banner images on the internet showing a silhouetted head with a question mark and the words, “Wait 11 September”. The US-based intelligence group IntelCenter had speculated the video would be a...

Early this year, a religious radical calling himself Abu Hamza had a question for the deputy leader of al-Qaeda regarding the Egyptian secret police. "Are they committing unbelief?" he tapped on his keyboard. "And is it permissible to kill them?" A few weeks later, an answer came from a man with a $25 million bounty on his head, Ayman al-Zawahiri. Killing the police is justified, Zawahiri replied, because they are "infidels, each and every one of them." The exchange was part of the latest propaganda coup orchestrated by al-Qaeda: an online chat between Zawahiri -- one of the world's most...

Al-Qaida deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahri is calling on Muslims to strike Israeli and American interests to avenge Israel's recent offensive in the Gaza Strip, according to a new audiotape. Petraeus: Al Qaida Trying to 'Come Back In' U.S. military officials said there will be no significant reduction in coalition troops in the Baghdad area as part of an effort to stop the Al Qaida offensive in northern Iraq. They said Al Qaida was trying to reenter Baghdad and reverse its losses in 2007. "Al Qaida is trying to come back in," U.S. military commander Gen. David Petraeus said. An American member of al-Qaida warned President Bush on Tuesday to end U.S. involvement in all Muslim lands or face an attack worse than the Sept. 11 suicide assault, according to a new videotape. Wearing a white robe and a turban, Adam Yehiye Gadahn, who also goes by the name Azzam al-Amriki, said al-Qaida would not negotiate on its demands. Excerpt - CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - A purported al-Qaida in Afghanistan commander claimed in an audiotape released early Friday the group is willing to swap prisoners with the United States, Britain and other countries. The audiotape's authenticity could not independently be confirmed but it was posted on a website commonly used by Islamic militants. It opened with a short section that said it was produced by as-Sahab, the al-Qaida media production wing. It was accompanied by two still photos of a bearded man identified as Abu Laith al-Libi, a Libyan al-Qaida operative believed to be behind a suicide bombing that...

The former police chief also confirms Yusuf's family details. He is the youngest of five brothers. His eldest brothers are all dead. Two died fighting with...
