Folks, Keep your eyes on the target. Everyone (for good reason) is crowing over how Sen. Ted Cruz completely creamed Marxist CA Senator Dianne Feinstein. If you haven't seen it, go here here However, this is classic Democrat Party bait-and-switch. If you're old enough to remember FReeping in the Clinton years like I have, you'd remember that the Clinton Democrats will put out a bill so extreme as to generate an uproar, then withdraw the bill and admit that they overreach and introduce "more modest" legislation. Well, the more "modest" gun legislation is none other than Chucky Schumer's Universal Background...

Three Syrian tanks entered the demilitarized area between Syrian and Israeli territory on the Golan Heights border Saturday. The tanks, which belong to Syrian strongman Bashar Assad's forces, entered the village of Bir Ajam, a short distance away from an IDF position. The tanks were maneuvering as part of the fighting between Assad and rebel forces. Israel lodged a formal complaint with the United Nations. Sources in the defense establishment said that while the tanks' movement was not intended against Israel, it still constitutes a breach of the 1974 armistice agreement between Jerusalem and Damascus. Several mortar shells also fell...

"Our God is woman, our mission is protest, our weapons are bare breasts." It's the kind of political slogan that's bound to catch attention, particularly when it's dozens of topless women clutching campaign posters who are chanting it. These are the women of Femen, Ukraine's topless female protest movement. Young women who believe that the best way to make their voice heard is through sheer bare-chested brazenness.

Well, it looks like the New Black Panther Party is finally back in the news once again. A couple of months ago, as many of you will remember, Attorney General Eric Holder dropped the voter intimidation case against the Philadelphia chapter after they were caught on video carrying batons at a polling station in ’08, which led to a firestorm of videos being released against the group. Now, a new video has surfaced showing King Samir saying that whites use black babies as ‘alligator bait’, while lambasting Fox News for the coverage after it was found the case was dropped....

All our young lives we’re taught to seek out the authorities when we’re in trouble. For young women who are victims of rape, this includes reporting the crime in the face of one’s own personal shame and agony to seek justice where it is due and prevent the perpetrator from raping again. In a suburb of Pittsburgh, a startling lawsuit turns this conventional wisdom upside down. And, according to high-profile criminal attorney, Rene Sandler, no matter how the suit plays out, it reveals a disturbing lack of judgment on the part of those authorities we’re taught to trust. The suit...

Obama/Holder’s Seeds Already Bearing Fruit The Obama Administration and its Attorney General, Eric Holder, have sent a series of strong, unmistakable messages to America’s Black Community: ‘Commit crimes against whites, and you can just hide behind the accusation of racism. We may not even prosecute you.’ The message has been heard loud and clear, and is already bearing fruit. On August 3, 2010, a black man was called into his employers’ offices to face disciplinary action. His name was Omar Thornton. He had been videotaped stealing from his company. The video was shown, and Omar was asked to resign his...

This is the face and bod that launched a plus-sized bra-haha. Brooklyn model Ashley Graham said she was shocked to learn ABC couldn’t handle the beautiful bust she flaunted in a Lane Bryant ad the network said was too hot for TV. “I was very surprised,” the size-16 stunner told The Post yesterday. “The first thing I thought of was Victoria’s Secret commercials, and how they’re just as racy, if not more racy, than Lane Bryant. “[The models are] just a lot smaller than what I am,” said the Nebraska native, a 38D. “[ABC] can’t handle bigger on TV, bigger...

Voters spurn the 'boob bait' of the educated class By: Michael Barone Senior Political AnalystJanuary 24, 2010 (Ap photo) When the New York Times columnist David Brooks first sat down with Barack Obama, they talked a lot about Burke. That's Edmund Burke, the 18th century conservative British politician and philosopher. Not Jimmy Burke, the 20th century Massachusetts pol, who said that all you had to know to serve in Congress was "Social Security and shoes."The cold hard numbers in the Massachusetts special Senate election this week tell you something important about the appeal of Barack Obama and his policies on...

Is Islam worthy of First Amendment protection? I think it might be time for a Constitutional amendment. Such an amendment would not necessarily have to ban the practice of Islam in the U.S. But certainly, it seems to be time to carve out an exception to the First Amendment so that Islam can be restricted. What better place to get the ball rolling than right here on Free Republic? Am I off base here? Thoughts?

WATERTOWN, N.Y. - A woman who claims she was used as unknowing bait to catch a man taking photographs up women's skirts is suing retailer T.J. Maxx. Svetlana Van Buren said store personnel surreptitiously videotaped a man taking photos up her skirt while she was shopping for coffee at the company's store in Watertown on June 14, 2006. It was only after the man committed the crime that store personnel told her the photos had been taken and that the act was caught on tape, said Van Buren, a psychologist who was working at a state-run facility for youths at...

BOSTON -- IBM Corp. laid off 1,570 people Wednesday, primarily from an ongoing overhaul of operations in its giant technology services unit. The Armonk, N.Y.-based company carried out a similar level of job cuts at the beginning of the month, for a total of 3,023 in this quarter and 3,720 for the year, according to IBM spokesman Edward Barbini. That amounts to roughly 1 percent of the company, which employed 355,000 people at the beginning of the year. But even these small numbers reflect a big project inside IBM to transform its business. Services is IBM's biggest division by revenue,...

The bill to move next year's California presidential primary to Feb. 5 reminds me of selling mattresses. I've never sold them, but my college roommate did, and I learned a lot from him about getting customers in the door and then switching them to a more costly product. The mattress company advertised incredibly cheap prices, but when the customers showed up, they would be told that those mattresses weren't very good. But fortunately for the customers, there were much better mattresses available at, well, higher prices. The tactic usually worked. Who wants to sleep on a crummy mattress? California's presidential...

Anglers fear ban on 'cruel' live bait will spread By Jasper Copping, Sunday Telegraph Last Updated: 12:30am GMT 07/01/2007 Anglers are to be banned from using live fish as bait after politicians decided it was cruel. The ban, which will apply in Scotland, has angered fishermen south of the border who believe it has handed a major victory to animal rights campaigners calling for similar legislation in the rest of Britain. Steve Greenway, a leading angler from Staffordshire who has been on 105 fishing trips to Scotland, said: "If I thought live bait was cruel, I wouldn't use it. Where...

MIAMI A passenger reported missing on a cruise to the Bahamas fell overboard after a night of heavy drinking with friends, authorities said Wednesday as Coast Guard crews suspended their search for the man. Friends of Daniel DiPiero, 21, of Canfield, Ohio, last saw him on the Mariner of the Seas around midnight Sunday, Petty Officer Dana Warr said. About two hours later, shipboard security cameras show DiPiero falling overboard from a rail near the front of the ship, investigators said.
