We Bombed Kaduna & Zaria Yesterday Says Boko Haram. | OSUN DEFENDER [June 18, 2012] Radical islamist militant group Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the bombing of three churches that killed at least 50 people in Zaria and Kaduna town yesterday. The sect targeted mostly children and women in the Zaria attacks. The sect spokesperson Abu Qaqa said the current massacre of christians was done to avenge the past killings of Muslims and desecration of Mosques in Zonkwa, Yelwan Shendam, Tafawa Balewa, where they said Mosques were turned into brothels and drinking joints, while Christians continue to carry on...

James Davis is fighting to keep the remains of his late wife right where he dug her grave: In the front yard of his home, just a few feet from the porch. Davis said he was only abiding by Patsy Ruth Davis' wishes when he buried her in 2009, yet the city (has now) sued to move her. A county judge ordered Davis to disinter his wife, but the ruling is on hold as the Alabama Civil Court of Appeals considers his challenge. Davis, 73, said he never expected such a fight.

"It's been a long, tough journey. But we have made some incredible strides together. Yes, we have. But the thing that we all ought to remember is that as much as good as we have done, precisely because the challenges were so daunting, precisely because we we were inheriting so many challenges, that we're not even halfway there yet. When I said 'change we can believe in' I didn't say 'change we can believe in tomorrow.' Not change we can believe in next week. We knew this was going to take time because we've got this big, messy, tough democracy,"...

This was absolutely awful. Barack Obama made another horrible mistake today. The president visited the 10th Mountain Division today and congratulated them on their service. Then he told the soldiers that he had given the Medal of Honor to Jared Monti who came back from Iraq alive. Jared Monti was actually killed in Iraq in 2006. How sad. “First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours,...

This is simply incredible. In order to make some nonsensical point about immigration, Obama just makes up the history of the Statue of Liberty, what it symbolizes, and how it came to be. Of course, the corrupt media couldn’t be bothered to mention this to the public at large now, or at the time it happened. They are too busy getting their asses handed to them after erroneously claiming Sarah Palin was wrong about Paul Revere. View video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNrAqeYUn9I&feature=player_embedded There will be no one able to speak up for Obama, as there is no truth to what he’s saying. While...

Although I have written several columns expressing my admiration for Sarah Palin, I admit I have never taken her seriously as a 2012 presidential candidate. I've always felt that her greatest asset was as a kingmaker and behind the scenes advisor. In addition I've assumed that she wasn't that interested in pursuing the job but rather enjoyed making waves in the liberal media. The more I read the continuing attacks on Palin and her family I've started wondering why the Democrats and their media lapdogs fear her so much. Even some conservative pundits have determined that she is unelectable because...

Donald Trump has released a copy of his original birth certificate…which is something every single Republican should do…and not just ones running for president. But Trump does not understand the real issue here: Obama is hiding something written on the “name” line of the certificate. Obama was indeed born in Hawaii in 1961…but he was adopted in Indonesia in the late-60s or early 70s. At the time of his adoption, his name was legally changed to something like Soetorabakh Soetoro…because Indonesian naming convention is so unusual, there are many possibilities for how his adopted name could be spelled (like all...

Sarah Palin is a magnet for criticism and sometimes deserves it. But not always. Palin’s trip to Israel this week was, like everything else she does, interpreted as part of a pre-presidential candidacy tour. Thus, it was no surprise that her statements while in Israel and about it afterward generated the usual scorn that anything she says produces. An on-line discussion at Politico about her comments was headlined on its homepage as concerning “Palin’s idiotic comments about Israel.” So how “idiotic” were they? The correct answer is not very. During an interview on FOX News’s Greta Van Susteren show Wednesday...

I have expressed my concerns with Public Policy Polling before. PPP is a traditionally Democratic firm which now is the official pollster for DailKos, and has a tendency to put a heavy spin on its poll results. Today PPP officially beclowned itself, releasing a poll which, among other things, pitted Charlie Sheen against, respectively, Barack Obama and Sarah Palin. Do serious pollsters engage in such publicity stunts? But it gets even worse, because PPP cherry picked the data to spin the poll against Sarah Palin, with this headline, Palin trails Sheen with independents. And indeed, according to the cross-tabs, Sheen...

Our entire country, indeed the world, mourns the victims of the savage attack in Tucson that left six dead, including an esteemed federal judge and beautiful nine-year-old Christina Taylor Green; 14 seriously wounded; and Rep. Gabrielle Giffords fighting for her life after a bullet from the gun of her crazed killer and apparent stalker Jared Loughner entered and then exited her brain. While millions of words have been written about this unspeakable tragedy, I write here of another mourning, specifically the agony of the left at having irrevocably lost the American public, and with that loss their grandiose ambitions of...

Here’s an excellent read by Professor Jacobson at Legal Insurrection. He’s calling the Lamestream Media’s efforts on the part of the Left “Operation Demoralize”, which is the game plan for re-electing Obama president. It essentially boils down to what I call Eeyore-breeding, which is easier than propagating rabbits in Republican ranks. I have never understood why, but conservative people in general just seem to be a naturally pessimistic lot who believe almost everything they see on TV if it’s negative news about a Republican. ”We’re doomed!”, “Woe is us!”, and “We might as well just give up, or not even...

Well, using the very same standard the left wing, and their corrupt media partners have used to smear and slander Sarah Palin, all evidence says yes, Barack Øbama may have very well inspired radical Marxist Jared Lee Loughner to commit mass murder. As we reported earlier, Loughner has been fixated on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, one of the many victims, since at least 2007, long before the Tea Party was formed, or anyone knew who the hell Sarah Palin was. Of course, seeing as how Loughner is against everything Sarah Palin and the Tea Party stand for, it’s highly unlikely he...

Today’s the day I’ve been hinting at for a while…when Andrew Breitbart drops the nuke on the White House regarding the Pigford Black Reparations Scam.Obama is set to sign into law the Pigford Black Reparations on Wednesday.Breitbart has dumped all of these documents today to make this an albatross around Obama’s neck.He has a choice: either sign this bill and distribute those black reparations and suffer the consequences as Americans start waking up to what is going on, or veto it because it is riddled with fraudulent claimants. What will Obama do?I think I know the answer on that, because Obama...

I think a better question than “Why is Julian Assange allowed to do what he does?” or “Why hasn’t the US government stopped WikiLeaks?” is the matter of “Why can’t WikiLeaks release the many, mysterious, missing documents Øbama hides from the public?” Let’s have a “Fun with Lists Friday” and use this thread to make a Christmas Wish List for everything we’d love WikiLeaks to release on Øbama. Here’s a piece from Jennifer Rubin calling Obama out on the ignoramus that he is. Rubin hits hard with: He displays contempt for Americans who don’t agree with his flawed policies, in effect instructing them to shut up. But his arrogance is both unwise (these people vote!) and undeserved. Had he not spent trillions on a flawed Keynesian economics, had he not botched the Middle East peace talks, had he not misread the mullahs, had he not mistaken appeasement for “reset” with Russia, and had he not hired ill-prepared senior advisers (who now must be cast off), his self-satisfaction might...

A few weeks ago I wrote an article From the White House to the Big House: 25 Impeachable Crimes and Counting that detailed 25 illegal acts committed by President Obama and his Democrat cohorts in Washington. It showed a President and political party willing to break the law at will in order to accomplish their political aims. Thanks to reader contributions and conservative writers around the country, here are 25 more. Whether or not any of these troubling examples will lead to Obama’s impeachment and/or imprisonment, only time will tell. Regardless, taken together they paint a picture of an out...

In a visually compelling format Glenn Beck heaped justified ridicule on one of the many false precepts of progressivism, to wit, that it is somehow “unfair” that some people have more money than others. To do this, Beck gave President Obama (and his audience) the silent treatment on his TV show. (video link)As a video clip showed the president saying We’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that’s fairly earned. I mean I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money. Beck said nothing. He went over to his chalkboard and began filling in how much money Obama’s friends...

Obama, scolding GOP, makes 15 appointments Kara RowlandNow that Congress has left for spring break, President Obama is making more than a dozen recess appointments to fill key administration posts at the Departments of the Treasury, Homeland Security and others, the White House announced Saturday. Citing "months of Republican obstruction," Mr. Obama made 15 appointments in all, including Craig Becker, a controversial nominee to head the National Labor Relations Board. The Senate last month voted against proceeding to confirm Mr. Becker, a former union lawyer. The White House said the nominees had been pending in the Senate for an average...

At the end of Barack Obama’s worst week since taking power a year ago, the US president’s fortunes look set only to deteriorate over the coming days. Following the shock defeat of the Democratic candidate in Massachusetts on Tuesday, a move that deprived the president of his 60-seat super-majority in the Senate and left his legislative agenda in tatters, Mr Obama has just four days to reboot the system. The US president had originally delayed next week’s State of the Union address to Congress in the hope he would get his signature healthcare reform bill enacted in time. That prospect,...

Not long ago, after a string of especially bad days for the Obama administration, a veteran Democratic pol approached me with a pained look on his face and asked, "Do you think they know what they're doing?" The question caught me off guard because the man is a well-known Obama supporter. As we talked, I quickly realized his asking suggested his own considerable doubts.

GWB was wrong. And not just about WMD, CIA and POWs. The 43rd president of the US famously predicted last May: "I'll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office." Turns out somebody has figured it out. And it ain't 44 either. No, O will probably spend his whole first term trying to figure out what the hell happened inside that office.

Tuscaloosa, AL (AHN) - Officials from the University of Alabama admitted Thursday that student athletes received free textbooks for other students. Allegations started during the 2007 football season, when five players were suspended for violating NCAA rules. The rules say a student athlete cannot spend more than $100 dollars as gifts for girlfriends, boyfriends or other students.

WASHINGTON — Military commanders are drawing up plans for a faster withdrawal of American troops from Iraq in anticipation that President-elect Barack Obama will reject current proposals as too slow, Pentagon and military officials said Wednesday. The new plans would provide alternatives to a timetable drawn up by the top American commanders for Iraq to bring troops home more slowly than Mr. Obama promised during his presidential campaign. Those plans were described to Mr. Obama last month. The officials said that Mr. Obama had not requested the new plans, but that they were being prepared in response to public statements...

Barack Obama plans to take his oath of office, as president of the United States, on a Holy Bible, once owned by Abraham Lincoln. Many leftist reporters have enthused over the symbolism. They truly think there is some mystical connection between the Hawaii-born, half-Kenyan, Harvard-educated street agitator, and the Kentucky-born, self-educated, great emancipator, and savior of the Union, Lincoln. Many conservative commentators criticize these comparisons of Lincoln and Obama, rightly, it is true, by pointing out that, aside from being elected to ever higher political office, Obama really “hasn’t done anything" for America. Clearly, Barry hasn’t freed an entire people...

Alabama coach Nick Saban responded angrily to today's news that Tommy Tuberville is out at Auburn after 10 years. Tuberville makes four head coaches to lose to Saban this season and not retain their jobs, joining Clemson's Tommy Bowden, Tennessee's Phillip Fulmer and Mississippi State's Sylvester Croom. Here was Saban's unprompted statement ... "There have been several coaches that have been let go in our league that have a pretty good body of work behind them. They've been really good coaches. They've been really good for the game. They've been good for a lot of players, and they've had very,...

The Reverend Jesse Jackson said his offer to cut Senator Obama’s nuts off “should not be construed as, in any way, hostile to the Illinois senator’s drive to become the country’s first African-American president.” “Senator Obama is already in solid with the Black community,” Jackson pointed out. “He will get 90 percent or more of the Black vote. His big problem will be winning over former Hillary supporters. I’m just suggesting that he’d have a better chance with this demographic as a castrati.” Leslie Bianco, spokesman for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Political Action Committee (PAC) said people...

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - With large swaths of the Gulf Coast still in ruins from Hurricane Katrina, rich federal tax breaks designed to spur rebuilding are flowing hundreds of miles inland to investors who are buying up luxury condos near the University of Alabama's football stadium. About 10 condominium projects are going up in and around Tuscaloosa, and builders are asking up to $1 million for units with granite countertops, king-size bathtubs and 'Bama decor, including crimson couches and Bear Bryant wall art. While many of the buyers are Crimson Tide alumni or ardent football fans not entitled to any special...

Spurned again, Alabama is resuming its latest search for a football coach. This time it was West Virginia's Rich Rodriguez saying no thanks Friday to the program still yearning for a leader to steer it back to the powerhouse days of Bear Bryant. And worried Alabama fans like student Jennifer Winton were left to wonder: "Who are we going to get now?" It's the $12 million question. Rodriguez opted to remain at his alma mater instead of taking the reported six-year, $12 million offer from Alabama that would have nearly doubled his previous deal. Crimson Tide athletic director Mal Moore...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- An Alabama booster convicted of bribing a high school football coach to get a top recruit for the Crimson Tide was found dead Tuesday in his Memphis home, and police were investigating it as a homicide. Logan Young was convicted of bribing a high school coach to get a top recruit for the Tide. TUSCALOOSA | University of Alabama officials have completed the search process for a head football coach and made a job offer, The Tuscaloosa News learned on Wednesday. Shula could be officially named to the position as soon as today if he accepts the post. A source close to the Crimson Tide search said that UA director of athletics Mal Moore and University...
