In the last several months there has not been a solid frontrunner in Republican polls for the 2012 nomination. While Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney have been near the top, neither has been dominant. Donald Trump was able to surge last month, although where his polls go now is unclear. With much of the attention reverting away from him, he may see a dip in his vote share.
