Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is not ruling out a 2024 presidential bid — even if it means running against his old friend Donald Trump, according to a report. “I would not, no,” Christie told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt on Monday, Fox News reported. “I would not rule it out.” “If I go and look up Christie 2024, will that URL already be reserved?” Hewitt asked. “ChrisChristie.com is, sir,” Christie answered. “So, we’re gonna keep that one and we’ll see where we go from here.”

Mitt Romney blasted the Republican Party on Saturday for not doing more to stop presumptive nominee Donald Trump, saying that the prospects for the party are bleak. During a discussion in Park City, Utah, where Romney is hosting his annual conservative summit, the 2012 presidential nominee singled out Trump’s former rivals Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio), the last two candidates to drop out of the race against Trump. "Ted Cruz was basically praising Donald Trump through the whole process," Romney told discussion host and CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer. And Kasich “was in well after the time...
  • A radical proposal for Jeb Bush to save the GOP from Donald Trump (Right To Rise dump Jeb?)

Three things about Donald Trump have now become clear to the Republican establishment: 1) He might not implode before people start voting for president next year. 2) He could actually wind up as the Republican nominee for president. -snip- Right to Rise raised more than $103 million in the first six months of this year. It spent - as I mentioned above - $28 million on ads. Let's say the organization has spent another $15 million on fundraising, consulting fees and other miscellaneous costs. And let's assume, just for the sake of this argument, that Right to Rise hasn't raised...

MARCH 16, 2012 Tampa Tempest Newt Gingrich Plots Convention Chaos. By Robert Costa As he waited for the returns on Tuesday, Newt Gingrich didn’t pay much attention to the soft flicker of Fox News. Instead, as he sat with his family and a few aides in a suite at the Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham, Ala., he was quietly glued to his BlackBerry, thumbing his way through e-mails. He was mostly cheerful, according to those in the room. He reminisced about campaigns past with his daughters. He reviewed his schedule; he bantered with his wife, Callista; he settled on a purple...

Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly – and every January 1, the press feels compelled to compile lists of the most significant events from the past year. As 2005 slipped away, a fair amount of ink was spilled on what was supposedly a “bad year” for President Bush. Somehow, members of the press managed to overlook the fact that it was an even worse year for them. The speciously named “Plamegate” – a non-scandal about the not-illegal “leaking” of the name of a non-covert CIA agent – was supposed to be the President’s undoing. Instead, it was, in many ways,...

ST. PAUL - Walter Mondale, the man who transformed the vice presidency from a ceremonial job to a position of power, thinks Vice President Dick Cheney wields too much power and may be undermining the president. But Mondale is growing increasingly impressed by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and believes she is steering the Bush administration toward more cooperative relations with other countries. Mondale, 77, a former Minnesota attorney general and U.S. senator, was vice president under President Carter from 1977 through 1980. He was the first vice president to have an office in the White House, have access to...

I just received a phone call from a Slimfast rep. She said Unilever is referring all correspondence about Whoopi/Slimfast to them and they are then forwarding everything to the marketing dept. The marketing dept is deciding what to do but she wanted to let me know that they weren't ignoring my concerns. She added that she was appalled by Whoopi's "comedy" as well. While I thought they would eventually respond with a form letter and some coupons, I am stunned that they responded so quickly and it sounds like they're serious. I'm hopeful.

In case you don't know, "Freepers" are fans of a certain far-out-right-wing-nut website and they go on sites like this and "freep" books with one-star reviews without reading them. They're group-thinkers and dittoheads. They go on polling sites and "freep" them as well, and the ones who are technically inclined attempt to infiltrate some websites and shut them down. They're rotten, horrible people.

Through the federal government, President Bush has been able to declare WAR in a "foreign" country. Unlike Viet Nam, Bush jump started the war with Iraq. With all of this diversion going on, WHY doesn't the media report on the real truth? That being that the de facto unlawful government state of Hawaii isn't a "STATE" at all and never has been. The fraud, lie and coverup has been all along that Hawaii has been militarily occupied for the past 110 years. There lives today 274 men/women that are of the true nationality of being Hawaiian. They never signed the...

While I find those images on the Internet of a blunt little mustache digitally-scribbled onto President Bush's upper lip feeble and unhelpful, still, there are parts of Bush's character and behavior that strikingly resemble at least one major biographer's interpretation of Hitler. Ian Kershaw's two-volume life of Hitler puts great emphasis on his being a driving high-stakes gambler - with innate, animal-cunning about human psychology, few gifts of statesmanship or strategy, and little systematic learning - attributing most of his success and all of his failure to his compulsive quality. When, for example, Bush waged his ferocious post-election pursuit of...

A leading Dutch politician who has called for returning European ambassadors from Tel Aviv is the sole candidate to become the Netherlands board member of the World Bank representing also Israel at the prestigious financial institution in Washington. According to Dutch newspapers, the new Dutch government has agreed to appoint Ad Melkert, a former prime-ministerial candidate, as its representative to the board of the World Bank. The Dutch delegate acts also as the representative of Israel and several other countries which are not entitled to appoint board members. Melkert, who led the Dutch Labor Party (PvdA) to one of its...
