It's rare for a single election result to spell the likely end of the careers of two politicians, but Virginia Democrats appear to have accomplished just that in 2021. With Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin's two–percentage point upset victory, angry parents likely put an end to the careers of current Gov. Ralph Northam and 2014–2018 Gov. Terry McAuliffe. As we bid adieu to 2021, let's take a ride down memory lane as we also bid good riddance to Northam and McAuliffe. McAuliffe's four years in office were plagued by corporate cronyism, which was not surprising given that an electric car company McAuliffe...

On Wednesday, trustees for the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill voted to grant tenure to New York Times writer Nikole Hannah-Jones, founder of the notorious “1619 Project.” UNC had earlier revoked the offer of tenure, which usually forms part of the deal for a Knight Chair professorship. Conservatives spoke out against UNC’s move hiring Hannah-Jones, whose project pushes Marxist critical race theory, divides Americans by race, and arguably helped inspire the Black Lives Matter and antifa riots last summer. The 1619 Project twists American history along the lines of Marxist critical race theory, reframing many aspects of...

The Rest of The Story: The Enemy of the State—Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other Deep State riffraff—walk in digital footsteps, which can always, like footsteps in the snow, be brushed away at will. But the painstakingly hidden truth, can always be unearthed by those willing to blow away the layer of ash that covers it. Thanks to savvy website Dangerous.com and the enterprising Jim Hoft over at Gateway Pundit, we now know that Stanford University ‘adjusted’ Christine Blasey Ford’s Stanford page.

Where’s the conservative/libertarian organized opposition to anything? The cultural marxists, as Rahm Emanuel would say, “never let a crisis go to waste,” while the opposition sits idly by with their thumbs up their asses. The Left responds almost immediately to any catalytic event, especially tragedy. The Left is proactive, always stirring up trouble, several steps ahead of the opposition. They exploit every issue, every weakness. They leave no stones unturned. The conservative opposition is reactive at best, but invisible and limp most of the time. The conservative/libertarian opposition is meek, timid, disorganized and uncoordinated; they are always left holding the...

If MSNBC’s Joy Reid wanted to demonstrate intellectual courage and honesty, she’d invite real Republicans and strong Trump advocates on her shows. Instead, she prefers to bring on avid Trump haters. Reid scraped the absolute bottom of the barrel when this evening, substituting for Chris Hayes, she had on the loathsome Rick Wilson. This is the guy who—in terms so vile I won’t repeat them here—accused Ann Coulter of literally being a prostitute for Trump. Asked if he was surprised by the lack of loyalty depicted in Michael Wolff’s about-to-be-released book about the Trump White House, Wilson says: “When you’ve...

Early American feminism that aimed at women’s right to vote and equality under the law was an honorable and reasonable feminism that many American women supported. That is not remotely today’s feminism. In fact, today’s is almost the opposite and seems driven largely by angry, man-hating social justice warriors and purely political partisans demanding unlimited abortions until the moment of birth, plus the rest of the liberal agenda. The evidence for this is following. Like intersectionality identity politics, it is another poison in the American culture that propels ever more division, animosity and strife with no apparent end goal. In...

Does today's trucker and trucking industry owe its entire existence to big government? The answer to that question may very well be yes. Recently, I wrote a post pulling together details about how Teddy used "reaching across the aisle" to undermine any attempt to keep government small, in passing the 1906 Hepburn Act. But what happened after the act passed? Well, it significantly damaged the railroad industry, and some news outlets at the time attributed the economic recession: the Panic of 1907 (whom some also call the "Roosevelt Panic") specifically to the Hepburn Act.(Source) The Panic had multiple causes to...

According to a recent CNN/ORC poll, Americans have once again contracted war fever. For the first time a majority (53 percent) of the public wants to send ground troops to battle ISIS. Coming on the heels of three horrific ISIS-linked terrorist attacks—the Russian jetliner, the November attacks in Paris, and the San Bernardino spree killing—this is not entirely surprising. People are understandably fed up with Islamic crazies killing innocent people. I too am sick of it, though less eager to send ground troops. Not that we have any good options. Our policy thus far has been "no boots on the...

Add another one to the man's list of prudent business decisions. As relates to his previously documented loathing of Fox News, it's now known that the late Steve Jobs backed up his harsh words by wisely withholding Apple's advertising dollars, according to an upcoming book about the 2012 presidential campaign. The book's author, Jonathan Alter, a Bloomberg political columnist and contributor to MSNBC, tells of Jobs "personally ordering that Apple ads be removed from Fox News," according to a blog post in the New York Times over the weekend. Alter's book, "The Center Holds: Obama and His Enemies," is scheduled...
