Let's be heard! Live from the WABC studios in beautiful midtown Manhattan, the living legend, the man who dared to compare New York Mayor Dave Dinkins to a men's room attendant at the 21 Club, the man who made famous the line "get off my phone, you jerk!", 78 years young, back and ready for more, here he is, Bob Gigante himself, the one, the only... BOB GRANT! Yes, Bob has returned from his brief retirement to give you his "straight ahead" views on the world, which as we know is "sick, and getting sicker." So as he would put...

It was just announced by Sean Hannity that Bob Grant is returning to the microphone of WABC Radio (NYC) Monday thru Friday from 8 to 10 pm. Ratings dictate that the listening public want conservative talk.

(With the entire Blogger system experiencing a morning meltdown, we'll break this story here) Eleven years after his termination from New York's WABC-AM over a poorly-received comment about Commerce Secretary Ron Brown's death, conservative talk legend Bob Grant is set to return to the station, according to high-level industry sources. An official announcement is set for later today. Grant will assume the 8-10pm slot vacated by Jerry Agar, who was hosting the show from a studio in Kansas City. Until early 2006, Grant held down afternoon drive at fossil-talker WOR-AM. While continuing to enjoy popular support in New York City...

My mom just called to tell me that Bob Grant is on WABC radio right now. I turn on the radio and sure enough he is. Anyone know when this began. It's great to hear him on the air again. The TRUE king of talk radio.

Please join me at a Pre-Election Rally that I am hosting on Saturday, November 4th, from 7 to 11 pm, at the Bethwood, located at 38 Lackawanna Avenue in Totowa. Our special guests will include Tom Kean, Jr. and our Passaic County Freeholder candidates -- Art Soto, Keith La Forgia and Erik Lowe. Food and beverages will be served, and we are asking for a contribution of only $65 to the PCRRO (Passaic County Regular Republican Organization) to help cover costs and raise needed funds for our critical get-out-the-vote efforts. This election will be one of the most important in...

September 11, 2006 -- IF Sean Hannity has his way, talk-radio titan Bob Grant will return from his WABC "exile" soon. Grant, 76, was abruptly fired 10 years ago - right after Disney bought ABC - for making a wisecrack about the death of Commerce Secretary Ron Brown in a plane crash. Now, WABC is awaiting the closing of a Disney deal to sell ABC's radio division to Citadel Broadcasting - which could open the door for Grant's return.

I don't know exactly when the conventional wisdom changed to create all-conservative talk stations and all-liberal talk stations, but that's the way things are now, for the most part. Maybe it's a sign of the increasing polarization of American political discourse. Or maybe PDs just got tired of hearing complaints from one host's fans about the other host's show. It's kind of a shame, actually. I was talking about this with a host who lands on the liberal end of the political spectrum who's worked at some conservative stations. And the reaction he got as a left-winger on a right-wing...

Even for those not particularly familiar with the broadcast legend, it was quite a moving send-off for WOR/New York's Bob Grant this evening. Saying goodbye after decades of trailblazing talk radio entertainment, Grant was praised by some of the industry's biggest names, including Howard Stern. In a particularly fascinating radio moment, Stern revealed just how much he had influenced his own career. In addition, Howard credited Grant for the development of the modern conservative movement, calling him years ahead of nearly everyone else. Stern wondered why Grant hadn't become a major national star along the lines of Rush Limbaugh and...

Bob Grant recalls watching legendary talk radio host Long John Nebel in his final days at WMCA, being wheeled to the microphone to force himself through a few minutes of airtime before, in great pain, he had to lie down. "It was what he wanted," Grant said yesterday. "Radio was his life. But it was sad. It was not pleasant to watch." Grant doesn't say so directly, but that's clearly one reason why, at age 76 and still in good health, he's content to wind up his WOR (710 AM) radio career today. Grant started on radio in the 1940s,...

Even though it's Rush Limbaugh who correctly gets credit for revolutionizing talk radio, several others first laid the foundation for the medium's eventual societal impact. One of those key players has been Bob Grant, a northeastern broadcast giant, who today was let go from New York's WOR 710 AM. The New York Post's John Mainelli has the scoop: LEGENDARY talk-radio titan Bob Grant is leaving WOR next month by what is said to be a "mutual agreement," The Post has learned. In a move sure to shock fans who made him New York's top-rated afternoon gabber for decades, .....................snip.........................

LEGENDARY talk-radio titan Bob Grant is leaving WOR next month by what is said to be a "mutual agreement," The Post has learned. In a move sure to shock fans who made him New York's top-rated afternoon gabber for decades, Grant will do his last show of the year today, then take three weeks vacation and return for a final seven shows beginning Jan. 5. The station had planned to announce his departure after his vacation. WOR (710 AM) will replace Grant with chef Rocco DiSpirito, who was the central figure in NBC's star-crossed reality show, "The Restaurant," and who...

David Horowitz has a new web site at www.discoverthenetwork.org A great and informative web site about the political left organizations;what they stand for and who funds them. For those who don't know David, he was raised a Communist, became a 60's radical, realized the error of his ways and is a moving force in trying to bring conseravite thought to college campuses. His books are great reading.

Just wanted to let you know that radio host Bob Grant mentioned Free Republic this afternoon. He was outlining how the bloggers investigated the memos, how typewriting experts became involved, among other aspects of this latest dagger in Kerry's heart. He devoted at least the first half hour of his show to memogate.
