Two days into his visit to India, President Obama received an almost royal official welcome Monday in New Delhi. As horses led his limo down a clay path at the presidential palace, Obama received a 21-gun salute, then reviewed troops and greeted India's diminutive president, Pratibha Patil, (above) with a double handshake.None of the low bows that the American leader proffered to other foreign dignitaries during previous Asian trips and meetings. See the photo below and this story: How low will he go? Obama gives Japan's Emperor a wow bow Those bows prompted criticism back home

One way to get around the whole bowing problem? Don’t let in the reporters until you’re already sitting down. President Obama played host to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at the White House on Tuesday but avoided the diplomatic trapdoor he fell through a year ago by greeting the monarch without cameras around to record whether he bowed first. The president raised eyebrows and stirred criticism in April 2009 when he encountered King Abdullah at a summit meeting of the Group of 20 nations in London. As Mr. Obama approached, he appeared to bow before the king. The White House...

Brilliant, Pres. Obama. Simply brilliant. Way to go to fortify relations with our reliable allies in the region, particularly with a key lynchpin like JAPAN.The upshot in the original Japanese was that Japan was snubbed in D.C. for an individual "summit meeting" with Obama, while Obama on the other hand kowtowed and gave the Red Chinese the red carpet (literally) treatment.Note, no "kowtow" to Prime Minister Hatoyama (Japan) that there was to Red Chinese President Hu Jin Tao. This I assure you was not lost on Tokyo (nor Beijing, Seoul, Pyongyang, Taipei, Moscow, Teheran, Damascus, Tel Aviv etc for that...

People have been abuzz about the photo of Obama bowing to Chinese President Hu Jintao. I don't actually on that level at all. I looked to me more like a nod of acknowledgment... But what was he acknowledging? For the record, I don't think (yet...yet) that Obama is a communist, and I know the hammer and sickle is a Soviet thing...but I thought it would make a fun little graphic...so the literalistic people out there...CHILL OUT. :-) I do, however, think with a fair degree of certainty he is a closet socialist The Looking Spoon is a conservative humor/satire/art/commentary...

I don’t understand this man’s penchant for bowing to dictators and tyrants but that’s what he does. He snubs our former allies and grovels to those who are not our friends.

A photojournalist from the St. Petersburg Times in Florida is very upset at you people. He wants you all to know that you should be ashamed of yourselves for misusing his photo. Ed Fountain is the photog that took the famous picture that the right-o-sphere guffawed at a few weeks ago showing President Obama strangely bowing to Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio. In light of the many times Obama has bowed to the floor in supplication before several of the world’s leaders -- making himself look like a weakling to the world -- conservatives made light of this photo saying that...

It was in the Oval Office, and it looks like the kid is picking lice out of his head, but this is the year of the bow ... and you can never be too careless when it comes to photos of The One bowing. In fact, we've collected all of the most famous photos, including at least one you probably haven't seen yet. What a retard. He bows to Saudi princes and Japanese emperors and Tampa mayors but NOT to Catholic popes, while ignoring the Dalai Lama. I assume, then, he reveres only government figures. No wonder he hasn’t chosen...

Tampa mayor, Pam Iorio, proclaimed Nov. 15th "CAIR Day" “By virtue of the authority vested in me as mayor of the city of Tampa, I do hereby proclaim November 15, 2008, as ‘Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Day’ in the city of Tampa, Florida.” -- Mayor Pam Iorio. What is going on, when CAIR, an organization that is an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure, gets a day named in their honor in Tampa Florida? I should have known.
