s Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)58% prepares a show vote on the nation’s importation of Muslim refugees, a growing group of Congressional conservatives are calling for a reduction or suspension of visa issuances to Muslim nations with jihadist movements. Conservative Review’s Daniel Horowitz has explained the details of Ryan’s anticipated “bait and switch”: Instead of listening to their constituents and following the calls of 30 governors to shut down Islamic refugee resettlement, Republicans are about to pull the classic bait and switch: pass a phony standalone bill and decline to defund it in the budget bill… Remember Obamacare, executive amnesty,...

House Speaker Paul Ryan is lining up a showdown vote for Thursday on President Obama's plan to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees in the United States. But conservatives on Capitol Hill who want to see the refugee program halted are warning that Ryan's plan is nothing but a smokescreen designed to give lip-service while refusing to defund the program. Ryan likely has no intention of cutting off the flow of Muslim refugees into the U.S., nor does he plan to ensure Syria's persecuted Christian minority gets rescued from the clutches of ISIS, sources told WND.

PARIS - A massive police raid Wednesdays killed the suspected ringleader of the Paris attacks during a blitz-style sweep, two senior European intelligence officials said, after investigators followed leads that the fugitive militant was holed up north of the French capital and could be plotting another wave of violence. More than 100 police and soldiers stormed the building during a seven-hour siege that left two dead including the suspected overseer of the Paris bloodshed, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who had once boasted he could slip easily between Europe and the Islamic State strongholds in Syria.

  • Bobby Jindal becomes the latest Republican to end presidential candidacy

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who campaigned as an unstinting champion of social conservatives but found himself crowded out by other more forceful, dynamic personalities, on Tuesday abruptly ended his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. Jindal, 44, had staked out far-right territory but never gained traction during a primary that’s been dominated by outsiders with similar or more conservative views, particularly Donald Trump and Ben Carson. Jindal noted that the policy papers his campaign had unveiled in recent months, on issues such as energy and education, hadn't resonated with voters.
