Amazing Media Bias: Heard in a three minute span on the 1:00 pm CDT top of the Hour News Feed. First, David Dow, CBS Radio News, characterized Vice President Gore's speech this evening as a "Withdrawal Speech" (his verbal emphasis characterized by italics). Then the local news announcer broke into the network feed for an annoncement by apparent Vice-President Elect Dick Cheney. Third, the network announcer was returned to air and said, "Texas Governor (emphasis mine) George W. Bush would travel to Washington to "pow-wow" with Republican Leaders.

Just returned fomr the St. Louis rally held on the steps of the Old Courthouse in Downtown St. Louis, MO. The Old Courthouse was the site of the appeal of Dred Scott, a slave who claimed his freedom on the basis of 7 years' residence in a free state in a free territory, by bringing it to the U.S. Circuit Court for the District of Missouri.
