I had the opportunity this weekend to visit Gettysburg National Military Park, and experience walking the battlefield. StainlessBanner, Stand_Waitie and all of my southron brothers, for this Yankee (and a descendant of men who fought at Little Round Top, Devil's Den and behind the stone wall during Pickett's Charge) to stand at the Virginia Monument and look down the Confederate line and stare across that wide open field, and to think of what your ancestors did there, brought me to tears, what brave honorable men they were. God Bless their memory and God Keep their sacred honor.

CLIFTON PARK -- A State Trooper from Clifton Park who took on a second tour of duty in Iraq because he wanted ``to be with his men'' was killed during a fire fight outside of the Iraqi city of Fallujah Wednesday. Marine Capt. John J. McKenna IV, 30, was killed alongside one of his men, Marine Lance Corporal Michael Glover of New York City. Both were with the 2nd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Division, Fox Company. I left the Democratic Party today. I had always been a Blue-Dog Dem, now I realize there is no room for me in the modern Democratic party. I guess you can call me a Terri Schiavo Republican. I dont understand how you can starve an otherwise healthy but disabled woman to death, and face no legal repercussions, but do the same thing to a dog and you go to prison.
