“My father always used to say that when you die, if you’ve got five real friends, then you’ve had a great life,” Lee Iacocca once said. Well, my dad was one of my five, until the day he died a few years ago. Each Father’s Day that passes, I’m grateful he was in my life. Growing up in a middle class New Jersey suburb, my father, Larry, not only was a good provider, he also did the lion’s share of parenting while my mother was busy going to college, getting a doctorate and then working full time as a college...

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has what it takes to lead this country in the right direction as president of the United States. In an interview with me last night — my first ever chat with him — Walker made a convincing case that he will fight to restore the American Dream for all, if he decides to throw his hat in the ring. Walker seems to mean what he says and say what he means, especially about Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. “People on the left, including Clinton, want to pit one American against another,” he told me. “Americans don’t want...

Every presidential candidate needs to come up with an effective plan to battle ISIS before they even think about jobs, health care or their wives being picked on. The brutal terror group’s tentacles have reached all the way to Boston and surrounding areas. As feared, the threat is now at our doorstep. Just yesterday an Islamist extremist who pledged allegiance to ISIS was hauled into federal court in South Boston. Authorities say Nicholas Rovinski, 24, of Warwick, R.I., was part of a terror cell along with David Wright, 24, of Everett and Usaamah Rahim, 26, who was shot and killed...

It’s time for the president to stop playing footsie with ISIS. When it comes to winning the war with this global threat to humanity, he needs to go big or go home while he still can. President Obama should either withdraw all U.S. military from Iraq and Syria and announce this is their problem or he should do whatever is necessary militarily to eviscerate ISIS. His halfhearted attempts of degrading and destroying the extremist militants, at arm’s length, is failing — miserably. The Islamic State’s recent takeover of the key city of Ramadi is reinforcement of that unsettling reality.
  • Adriana Cohen: Rand grandstands on GOP brand

Kentucky U.S. Sen. Rand Paul needs to Etch A Sketch his political strategy pronto. Anyone who thinks that trash-talking your own party will win over voters in a very crowded presidential field needs to be sent packing. Paul has given media interviews saying the GOP brand “sucks.” And in a thinly veiled slap at his fellow Senate Republicans, he has said, “These barnacled enablers have never met a war they didn’t like.” If that’s not bad enough, he’s now blaming the hawks in his party for ISIS. Never mind 9/11 and all the Democrats who voted for the War in...
  • Adriana Cohen: Tsarnaev death sentence sends message

A miracle happened Friday in ultra-liberal, bleeding-heart Massachusetts. After 14 hours of deliberation, 12 jurors sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a radicalized Islamist terrorist,
to death. Bravo to these courageous patriots who made the
right call. Tsarnaev and his dead brother, Tamerlan, committed an act of war against our country — right on Boylston Street — where we shop, eat, work and, yes, run marathons. They cowardly killed innocents and wounded hundreds. But despite the horrors they committed in this great city, the radicalized, pot-smoking terrorist showed zero remorse for his premeditated and heinous acts

We knew it was a matter of when, not if, we’d be hit again by Islamist terrorists on our own soil. Just last Sunday, two ISIS-sympathizing terrorists, clad in body armor and wielding assault rifles, attacked a Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in Garland, Texas. Luckily, they were killed before they could slaughter the people attending the event. Now U.S. military bases and installations are stepping up security, as FBI Director James Comey is warning that there are “hundreds, maybe thousands” of people across the country who are being recruited by ISIS with orders to attack the U.S. Security...
