    After the British Raj (1947-48)

When India gained independence in 1947, the British left the choice of independence or unification up to the local rulers of the princely states. The Muslim ruler of Hyderbad Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII, the last Nizam, and his followers, Razakars, wished to remain independent. The Indian Government carried out the so called “Hyderabad Police Action” against the Nizam. Code-named “Operation Polo” by the Indian military, this action by the Indian armed forces’ ended the rule of the Nizams of Hyderabad and led to the incorporation of the princely state of Hyderabad into the Indian Union.

that is the reason i said, a southern state too had suffered much by muslim leaders, it is not just in the north india.. hope this will be sufficient

though AP formed on the basis of same language speakers, there was something more between the state formation and independence day.. i was just trying not to deviate from “INDIANS ARE latest GLOBAL HATE TARGETS” post..

The Nizam was very anxious to become independent and it had been Nizam’s ambition to secure Dominion Status for his State. He tried to achieve this ambitious desire with the help of Khasim Razvi of the Ittehadul Muslimeen and its storm troopers, the Razakars.

The Hindus of the Hyderabad State accounted for 93 per cent of its population. They launched the “Join India” movement with the cooperation of a few patriotic Muslims for the integration of the State with the rest of the country. The State Congress leaders, led by Swami Ramanand Tirtha, whole-heartedly supported the movement. The Nizam banned the State Congress. Its leaders are forced to conduct their activities from places like Vijayawada and Bombay. The Communists on their part organized village defense squads to protect people from the attacks of the Nizam Police and Razakars.

The negotiations between the Nizam’s Dominions and the Indian Union proved abortive. The Nizam Government did not agree to the accession to the Indian Union. The activities of the Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen and the Razakars within the Dominions were posing a serious threat to peace and harmony. The growing violence by the Razakars seriously jeopardized law and order.

The Government of India tried to persuade the Nizam to sign the Instrument of accession with India. After tortuous negotiations, the Nizam finally entered into a “Stand Still Agreement” on November 29, 1947, with India for one year to maintain status quo.

This agreement provided the Nizam to gain time to procure military hardware from different parts of the world and smuggle them into Hyderabad. In the meanwhile the Nizam sent a delegation to the United Nations organization to refer the Hyderabad case to the Security Council.

With the growing violence by the Razakars and the Nizam’s attempts to get himself independent, the Government of India decided to curb these tendencies by launching a `Police Action’ against the Nizam. The Indian Army, led by Major-General J.N.Chaudhuri entered the State from five directions and the military action was a brilliant success. On 18th September 1948, Nizam’s forces surrendered to the Indian army and Mir Laik Ali, the Prime Minister of the Nizam, and Khasim Razvi were arrested. On September 23, the Nizam withdrew his complaint in the Security Council. The merger of Hyderabad Dominions into the Indian Union was announced. Major-General J.N.Chaudhuri took over as Military Governor of Hyderabad and stayed in that position till the end of 1949. In January 1950, M.K.Vellodi, a Senior Civil Servant was made the Chief Minister of the State and the Nizam was designated “Raj Pramukh”. After the 1952 General Elections, the first popular ministry headed by B.Rama Krishna Rao took charge of the State.

fortunately so far i didn’t get it.. but i afraid too much of sitting and talking to the guy who already has it, i may get it too..

Sometimes one’s patience looks like inability to the other. same thing happened in the case of Pakistan.. The we reach the BEP of tolerance, Pakistan will know what we are..

Coming to the UN, when you don’t care those orgs, then no point of having it and maintaining permanent memberships etc., etc., we value the institutions where everyone is involved, countries like yours don’t

those who have jaundice, the world looks yellow.. for those who have the zeal to do a war, every war looks reasonable and not a mistake. India has no right to interfere in SRILANKA’s internal problem. If it’s idea is to safeguard itself, then they can place the same IPKF at the India-Srilanka boarder to stop infiltration into India.. If it wants to make a war, then International community should be involved, not just one country to go there fight and become enemy.. we sent Peace Force to Srilanka only to lose our own peace inside the country..

Yes, because the Muslims in kerala didn’t burn people alive by locking them inside a train in a fine morning.. If they have done that, naturally the people’s view about them in kerala also would have been different..

No point talking to you. .You don’t even know when the state formation day is.. read some articles online and talking here about the history.. we are talking about present..

for your info.. AP state formation day is 1956 November 1st, not 1960 like you mentioned.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andhra_Pradesh

and with this i have decided not to reply your messages, as it seems to me, all you want to do is to argue somehow, but not to know the reality.. i am observing this from the time you mentioned to remove the post. I still don’t understand that if you think that this post is not supposed to be here and should be removed, then what are you doing here? why you are wasting your quality time at a “SHOULD BE REMOVED POST?” .. opening our eyes with your half knowledge or what? :)

:) they have enough work internally in our country itself.. :) just kidding.. they are nice too, i think so far none of the Indian Muslims caused trouble in US or any where else.. It is not the religion, it is the nationality.. Pakistanis have that problem, but not the Muslims in India. If few are spoiled due to the imported preachings from Pakistan or some where else, we are trying our best to put them back in to the track.. extremism of any religion is dangerous. whether it is Hinduism, Christianity or Islam or any other religion

:) it is not a psychosis rant or what, but i do agree that i added a lot of sarcasm in those lines.. every country had done some mistakes in the past. Like india sent IPF to Srilanka to fight against LTTE etc., but those mistakes are more when it comes to US. US had put it’s finger in almost every corner of the world for some reason or the other. It interfered as many times as it can in other countries’ internal affairs and it is visible to the world that there are certain times when the world thought that UN is a dancing doll in US’s hands. There is no one to question US and most of the times the US governments think that what it is doing is right but in reality it is not.. that is the reason why US has made unwanted enemies during the years.. It is nothing to do with the common man in US, but the governments bought a bad image by paying huge amounts of money in the name of unwanted interference.

that is the reason why sometimes i feel though CANADA is just next to US, canada’s image in the world’s point of view is lot more better than US, UK or australia’s image..

    cronos..

:) couldn’t stop smiling when i read your posts..
whatever bomb blasts/religious or communal riots happens in india, the root is in South city.. the accomplice is from South. so, it is not just north at the edge of the sword, actually it is in the south.. and for your information when india got it’s independence in 1947 (the day britishers left), south is still under the ruling of NIZAM ( a muslim) who is not willing to leave his seat and unite the state in India, after so many fights and the pressure from the central government, this south has been released after few years.. that is the reason why our state formation day is different from our independence day where all the rest of the states don’t have it.. If nobody is against to him or fight against him and lose thousands of lives, that nizam might have united our state into Pakistan..

So, i now i have a doubt whether i lived in rural southern indian village for 25years of my life or CRONOS lived.. sorry to say this, but ten times if we lie, 11th time it won’t become a truth.. a lie is always a lie..

    Cronos..
most of my blog posts are related to one state in out of many states in India.. Not many i write that are to do with global users.. so i don’t think so that a 50 or 80 users come to my site today will be loyal visitors to my site as there is nothing else related to them other than this post..

Coming to the news / current events, i doubt whether you are following with the daily news or not.. even international news channels are showing these news ( 90% of what i mentioned in that post ) and it is still going on.. by the time i posted this and today, in this meantime there were two more attacks against indians.. So, i don’t know in which way it made you to think that this is not an ongoing issue..

i won’t talk more than this about it..

thank you, we like Americans too.. only problem is some times we feel it is not necessary for US to play Big ‘B’ role all over the world. But i know that it is not the people of America doing it, It is by the governments of America.. Even a small nation wants to take care of it’s own business and it won’t like if some one tries to come and give a lecture on it’s internal affairs which it is not looking forward for..

we too go to the other caste/religion’s temples/church/mosque and we too attend each other’s festivals and funerals.. actually we are like a family, but some times it may be due to the politics or it may be due to the wrong teachings at certain religious schools change a little amount of people.. but over all i would say there is a good harmony..

coming to the caste system.. Dr.B.R.Ambedkar wrote out constitution saying that there must be reservation system in education/employment/sports etc., etc., almost everything for a period of 10years from the day we got freedom.. but it has been 60 years but every government that comes will just extend 10 more years and 10 more years and 10 more years..

i don’t deny the fact that there are still some people who are backward at certain places, but at the same time i won’t totally agree with a reservation based on caste.. a reservation should be based on economic status of a family. if the family is poor, if government support them then it is reasonable. here there are any poor people those who belongs to higher castes and just because they are from higher caste they have to struggle a lot in order to finish their studies/ to get a job..

simple example: let us say i am from a higher caste.. i got a score of 120 out of 200 in a competitive test and there is another guy from backward caste who secured 60 or 80 out of 200.. but our reservation system will give him a seat in computers engg. with fee wavier and monthly scholarship, and i will only manage to get a civil engg seat under payment quota.. what if i am from a middle/lower middle class family? who will pay my fees? and how i can complete my 4years education by paying thousands of rupees? at the end.. a merit candidate will end up doing a veterinary course and a fellow with little knowledge will come out from the college as a neurosurgeon.. :) is this reasonable? is this logical? and by the time we come out from the college, there will be a government job waiting for them under reservation quota and for me nothing.. :)

So, don’t just imagine that all the lower caste people are cleaning someone’s house for 2cents a day.. those days are gone.. Now modern india in two words.. “Majority People are minorities” and “higher caste people are lower in the eyes of governments and political parties” because at the end all they want is votes.. and that is why those reservations will never end..

BTW.. You must go to India once in your life time and make sure you have atleast 30 to 40 dyas time.. that is the minimum time you need if you want to touch the corners of india.. at least most places if not all the places..
