    The Iowa Court of Appeals has overturned the conviction of a man accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a toddler at the Des Moines Public Library. James Effler was found guilty of first-degree kidnapping and sentenced to life in prison for the October 2005 abduction and assault. Testimony showed that Effler lured the girl away from her baby sitter and stripped her naked inside a locked bathroom. Library employees found Effler and the girl and held him until police arrived.
