Looking for a good spotting scope in the $600 range, for sighting in at 100 to 150 yards. Also, some nature watching. I want something in the 60 x50mm range. Lots of new brand names to navigate out there. Leupold and the like are good but expensive and a bit of overkill for what I need. I know the glass (lenses) are a critical factor. Suggestions?

Need help finding or starting a list of people (actors,etc.) and companies that, due to their vocally hard left leanings, no longer deserve my material support. Links to offences would be appreciated but would not be necessary. Conversely, a conservative list would be of service, too. Doubtful if one person can make a difference, but it would give peace of mind to know which movies and products to avoid.

While I regret the loss of such a fine person, I'm curious about the unfilled seat of Senator Moakley. Why isn't the Governor of his state, filling the seat, which would restore balance to the senate? Any ideas would be appreciated.
