Not only did they do nothing. They passed a resolution saying that the Constitution didn’t mean anything. I don’t remember but I think a joint resolution of Congress in 2009 said, in effect, “we don’t know what this ‘natural born citizen’ language is all about, but whatever it is, we declare Obama to be eligible.” They amended the Constitution by a simple resolution, without reference to the people. That, too, is called usurpation.

Then the ‘ah shaddup’ crowd piped in with, “nobody cares, everybody cheats.” “Nothing will ever come of this.” Though, sadly, credit where credit is due — they were right.

Then Leo Donofrio closed his blog after claiming he was threatened. The scary part is that I’m prepared to believe him.

Most amazingly though, at the White House website Obama acknowledges that he was a dual national at birth, and that he was naturalized at the age of twenty-one by renouncing his Kenyan citizenship. But if you point out what Obama has already said, you’re a goddam birther.

Thanks for eight years in the Twilight Zone. It’s been a hoot.

So, Hussein, do you want the good news or the bad news?

The Good News: White Anglo-Saxon Protestant America, the America which you hate with every breath, the America on which you urged your supporters to take revenge, will now be swept away.

The Bad News: When we go we’re gonna take a hell of a lot of you with us.

Thank you for flying American. Have a nice day.

I would respectfully submit two questions to Mr. Donaldson, whom I remember well.

    1. In light of the fact that Mr. Obama has stated repeatedly that he was a British subject at birth (the place of his birth being immaterial), and that he renounced his Kenyan citizenship at the age of twenty-one, how, exactly, does Mr. Obama qualify as a “natural-born” citizen, as the constitution requires? Do you think that the Founders threw extra verbiage into the document to get up to a certain word count? Or do you think they were worred that some future president might be delivered into the world by other than natural means?

    2. As you don’t know me personally, it’s not in your power to say whether I am, or I am not, a racist. But let’s humor you and say that I’m the most vicious racist who ever lived. Would you be kind enough to point out what bearing that would have on the legal issue of Mr. Obama’s constitutional ineligibility to hold office?

The Tim Thomas story is a local story for me, and the zombies in the local media have made me apoplectic with this.

First it was Thomas declining a visit to the White House. The media shills are hyper-vigilant about any perceived lack of deference to The Won.

The fact is, no citizen is under any LEGAL obligation to accept an invitation to the White House. And furthermore, no citizen has to assign a reason for declining. Still less do they deserve to be grilled by the media for perceived “disrespect.”

Thomas didn’t belittle Obama in words. He just declined to accept the invitation. And the local media define his stated reason — that government is too big — as “controversial.:

What the hell are liberals, sexually unnatural spendthrifts?

Oh yes! Yes!! Give it to me, big boy — tax me until I’m penniless!!!

THAT’S a controversial point of view?

Now Thomas is defending freedom of religion under the first amendment. (In the interest of full disclosure I’ll state that I’m not a Roman Catholic).

And from the media he gets what?

“You have politically undesirable views, Comrade Thomas!”

“You must be interrogated by the Political Police so that you may be rehabilitated.”

I can’t help but recollect that when George Bush the younger was president it was considered patriotic to pour invective on his head as if you were pouring water on a burning barn.

    Sickening, just sickening.

    What are these people smoking?

YOU CAN NOT AMEND THE CONSTITUTION BY STATUTE.

You can not eliminate the requirement that the president be a “natural born citizen” simply by passing a resolution declaring that Obama and McCain are “natural born citizens.”

If asked if the individual mandate in Obamacare is actually constitutional, you can’t just blubber, “Are you serious?” “Are you serious?”

The legislative branch can not shift its budgetary
responsibility statutorily by delegating part of the power of the purse to the executive branch.

I need a laugh to brighten my day. Tell me once again that the Constitution isn’t ice cold and stone dead.

I had this thought a while ago. This seems like as good a time as any to share it.

Obama was elected in 2008, seven years after 9/11.

Harry Truman was elected in 1948, seven years after Pearl Harbor.

Can you imagine Truman travelling around the world, apologizing for the fact that we were in the Japs’ way on December 7, 1941, apologizing for the loss of Japanese life, etc., etc.?

    Neither can I.

After 220 years of white male presidents, from George Washington to George Bush, I’m now expected to welcome the inauguration of an anti-American, radical leftist, black Muslim named Bongo Mohammed Congo.

Gee, you’re right. Why in the world would that offend me?

And by the way, Senator, I’m still waiting to hear how a man whose father was a foreigner qualifies as a “natural born citizen,” and therefore as President.

Perhaps you could explain it to me.

    Coincidence?

Barack Obama’s father ‘forced out of U.S. in 1960s’

Barack Obama’s father was forced out of the US in the 1960s amid concerns about his “playboy ways,” it has emerged.

A government file on Barack Obama Sr. said that Harvard University, where he was studying, told immigration officials it would “cook something up” to force him to return to Kenya in 1964.

The immigration file, which was released under freedom of information laws, contains records of Mr. Obama Sr.’s time as a student at the universities of Hawaii and Harvard between 1959 and 1964.

It may solve the long–running mystery, described in the President’s memoir, of why his father really left the U.S., only returning to see his son once before he died.

An April 1961 memo said that a University of Hawaii employee called to report that Mr. Obama Sr. had married Ann Dunham, the future president’s mother.

She warned that he was already married to a woman in Kenya and had been “running around with several girls” since arriving and that he had been warned to curb his “playboy ways.”

Mr. Obama Sr. and Miss Dunham divorced in January 1964, by which time he had left Hawaii and was studying for a PhD in Economics at Harvard.

The file said two months later, concerns were raised over Mr. Obama Sr.’s relationship with a Kenyan high–school student on an exchange scheme in nearby Boston, who abruptly travelled to England.

“The suspicion exists,” the March 1964 document said, “that she may have gone to London for [redacted].” It is unclear what the next word is. At the time, abortions were illegal in the U.S.

Harvard was contacted by May 1964, and while Mr. Obama Sr. had passed his exams, the university agreed it would “try to cook something up to ease him out.”

Mr. Obama Sr., also described as a “slippery character,” was told that funding for his studies had run out and that he must complete his thesis in Kenya.

The file said officials then received a call in July 1964 from a mother distressed that her 27–year–old daughter had agreed to marry Mr. Obama Sr.

The woman is presumed to be Ruth Nidesand, who became Mr. Obama Sr.’s third wife and was white, like Miss Dunham.

At the time several U.S. states still had laws banning inter–racial marriage. Miss Nidesand left the U.S. to be with Mr. Obama Sr. the following month.

A spokesman for Harvard University did not return a request for comment.

President Obama’s father’s Kenyan heritage was a key aspect of the so–called ‘birther’ conspiracy theory that alleged he was born in Africa.

Mr. Obama moved to quash the theory once and for all on Wednesday by releasing his “long–form” birth certificate. The campaign had in recent weeks been led by Donald Trump, the property tycoon and would–be Republican presidential candidate.

Following Mr. Obama’s birth certificate release, Mr. Trump’s political opponents called on him to make public his tax returns.

The host of the U.S. version of “The Apprentice” had said earlier this month that he would make the returns known if Mr. Obama released the birth certificate.

Robert Gibbs, the former White House spokesman, told the Politico website: “Donald Trump said he’d release his tax returns as soon as the president released his birth certificate, so the ball is in his court now, and I know everybody is anxious to see his tax returns over the last ten years.”

Mr. Trump responded by calling Mr. Gibbs a “loser” and added: “Yes, at the appropriate time I’m going to do it.”

He suggested the appropriate time would come if he formally announces a presidential bid.

“If I announce, I will have to release very detailed information about my wealth,” he said. “That is certainly something I’d be thinking about doing anyway. But before I do anything I have to make the decision in June and the first thing I’m going to be releasing will be financials.”

Mr. Trump has said that people will be “shocked” by the strength of his financial records and that he would “love” to give his tax returns.

His net worth was recently put at $2.7 billion (£1.6 billion) by Forbes magazine, and Mr. Trump himself claims it is “substantially in excess of that.”

The mogul was in New Hampshire, where a key presidential primary is held, and attempted to claim credit for Mr. Obama releasing his birth certificate.

He said: “I have done a great service to the American people. He did it for me. The fact is, I get things done.” Mr. Gibbs said: “The American people are smarter than the candidacy that he is offering.”

The POS, Hussein, has stated, twice, that his father was a foreigner.

He is not a natural-born citizen. He’s naturalized. He is not the lawful President of the United States. He never has been. He never can be.

While I’m not surprised, I still regret that there are large numbers of people out there who are either too stupid, too lazy, or too disloyal to “get it.”

The Constitution has not been amended to permit naturalized foreigners to serve as president.

Anyone - including Powell evidently - who thinks the Constitution has been so altered and that Dog Squat is legally president is an enemy of the United States.

I repeat - and here I’m choosing my words very carefully - anyone who insists that Barrack Hussein Obama is lawfully president IS AN ENEMY OF THE UNITED STATES.

Sorry, Bob. I’m three marches past that camp site. I don’t live in your universe any more. Which means, I don’t give the proverbial rat’s *** whether you think I’m a racist or not.

I’m a 56-year-old white Anglo-Saxon Protestant male (i.e. an American). I can remember a time, as a small boy during Second Reconstruction, when colored people couldn’t go into a Woolworth’s in the South and order lunch.

O.K. We fixed that. Fair enough. But why have guilt-riddled, self-loathing whites, and professional blacks, been unable to stop grinding their racial ax at any time during the last fifty years?

It’s come to the point that an ADMITTEDLY half-Kenyan candidate for POTUS, a NATURALIZED citizen, has been elevated to the White House, giving America its first flagrantly illegal president, because most Americans are now afraid to say “boo.”

Not only that, but I had insomnia last night and watched Larry O’Donnell screaming at Orly (who he was careful to describe as “a foreigner,” crap like (and I’m paraphrasing)

BEG FOR FORGIVENESS, YOU FASCITS B^^^H!

    Unbelievable.

It’s like we live under a new regime in nineteenth-century France (which is what my 1st / 2d Republic line is about. It’s the closest analogy I can find to the present political situation.

If the government has outright contempt for the constitution - and it does - then we’re living under a new government.

I’m a “rejectionist” according to the talking heads - a label I will wear proudly. BHO is the first president of the Second Republic. F*** him and f*** the donkey he rode in on.

I usually don’t pay much attention to forensics, but it looks suspicious to me.

Is it just me, or does it look like a physically transparent document laid over modern computer paper? (The paper pattern is visible BENEATH the data fields).

What’s up with that? I’ve never seen anything like that bekore.

And by the way, the document states that Barack Obama Sr. was born in “Kenya, East Africa.” So unless Obama Sr. later became a U.S. citizen, the POSOTUS is not NBC and is not prez.

The second document doesn’t contain anything really new and, so far as it’s accurate, convicts Obama of treason yet again.

Leo Donofrio seemed very pessimistic. I’m not sure why. The “new” document doesn’t settle anything.

The White House said Monday that President Obama’s State of the Union address will take a different course than the annual speech typically follows, eschewing a “laundry list” of proposals for Congress to consider but offering a broad outline of how to tackle the nation’s economic challenges.

The Constitution (I know, stop laughing), requires the President to give a SOTU address, not to hold a campaign rally.

And BTW, the President doesn’t have a legal right to be admitted into the House. Pubbies - Slam the door in the bastard’s face. You have the right, you have the power, and, after Tucson, you have the motive. There’s no coming back from that.

    Sorry, gotta post.

This is scarin’ the h**l out of me.

I read Free Republic and post here sometimes even though I disagree with many of the views held by other Freepers.

With this Tucson episode the Dems have pushed the car over the cliff. It's one thing to say I'm conservative (though I'm not a conservative as Freepers understand the term) therefore I'm crazy. I read that c**p on the web every day. It's another thing to say I'm a killer - when the dead bodies in the parking lot aren't even cold and the blood hasn't even been hosed off.

C****t, it's like living in Red China - not rhetorically, but for real! Within minutes of the shootings in Tucson, the Politburo in Washington contacted the State Paper (the NYT) to have them state that the killings were the work of a “dissident group” that had “incorrect views.”

Now we're ramping up the hysteria to the point where we're talking about co-opting the “dissident group with incorrect views” at the SOTU. THERE IS NO CRISIS CALLING FOR THIS!

The thing that should scare you (or whatever term you prefer) is that I'm a right-of-center Gerry Ford Republican.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm a stupid, worthless RINO idiot, blah, blah, blah. But this is still the dumbest suggestion I've ever heard. A “Kumbaya” SOTU address given by some ***hold private citizen who isn't NBC and who isn't — in any conceivable sense — POTUS.

What has happened to my country?

The calendar has nothing to do with it.

At the Council of Nicea it was determined that Easter should fall on the first Sunday following the first full moon following the vernal equinox. In the Eastern Church, if this should cause Easter to be observed before the Jewish Passover then Easter is observed the following Sunday. The reason for doing this is to preserve the integrity of the gospel narrative. Christ, after all, was crucified after - not before - the Last Supper.

If the calendar was the problem then, obviously, Eastern and Western Easter could never coincide.
