Interesting site to debate if the Patriot Act should be renewed; it's run by the ABA but has some good conservative essayists and already has a few debates going on different Patriot Act sections. I must credit Michelle Malkin's blog for posting site.

I recall one case that Clinton was totally hoodwinked on and she continued to defend the illegal's actions.Anyone remember in 1997 the Ghanian "princess" that entered the US illegally and claimed asylum as a potential victim of female genital multilation (she would be forced to have FGM if tribal elders discovered she had premarital sex.)

Clinton, along with Julia Roberts, Charles Schumer and various women's groups castigated INS for attempting to deport her and daring to detain her - she was an asylum applicant, for gosh sakes - anything she said MUST be the truth!

Then gee, it came to light that this "princess" was a total fraud who committed identity fraud, stole the identity of the real Adelaide Abankwah, and lied about her entire story to try and get asylum. She actually came from a region that did not practice FGM - all a total fraud. Clinton even opposed pursuing her deportation once her fraud was exposed, and continued to support her.

Unfortunately, many illegal gangbangers use this claim "I came to leave the gang life behind" to claim asylum (I would be persecuted because of my tattoos and "former" gang status. Had he not committed this crime, he would have had a good shot at asylum, and probably gotten it, especially if he was a juvenile, under 18. Yep, many immigration judges will grant asylum based on claims like this, on no more than a story of "possible" persecution.

He never would have had to mention his little murder by machete, and no one would have known unless he talked about it - there is no database mechanism in place to search for or do background checks on people like this in 3rd World countries.

WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?

My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of Iraq regime has been completed. Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.

This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now time to begin the reckoning.

Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed there.

The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the world's nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.

Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.

The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell-holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.

Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.

In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth. Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France, or maybe China.

To Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Yo, boys. Work out a peace deal now. Just note that Camp David is closed. Maybe all of you can go to Russia for negotiations. They have some great palaces there. Big tables, too. I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon chance, mes amis. I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers, and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York.

A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not pissing us off for a change. Mexico is also on List 2. President Fox and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I will have a couple extra tank and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to put em? Yep, border security. So start doing something with your oil. Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty - starting now.

We are tired of the one-way highway.

It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying,"darn tootin."

Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. It is time to eliminate World Cup Soccer from America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you and we won't forget. To the nations on List 2, a final thought. Drop dead.

God bless America. Thank you and good night.

If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English, thank a soldier.

On one episode, somebody had called to inquire how long the citizenship process takes if a person applied with the sponsorship of a legal sibling, as Pablo's parents had done. The immigration lawyer said it took about fourteen years. "I don't have fourteen years!" cried Pablo.

Yeah, it's because of people like Pablo and his parents sneaking in and jumping the line whining that because they happened to successfully cross, take advantage of the local governments that allow them to blend in to the community with ease and continue breaking the law, that has the system backed up 14 years for Mexicans to immigrate. Look at the 245(i) program - it gives incentives for people to sneak in, wait for a visa then whine that they want their green cards here, and ahead of those waiting patiently in their own countries instead of the way it has been done for decades - wait in your own country for a visa, then when approved, enter the US with your green card. Pablo can blame two people for his predicament - his parents.
  • Prior Deportees get Hearing, 9th Circuit Says

This is going to bury those immigration offices in the 9th's jurisdiction, which is probably WHY these morons issued this ruling. Or else they were just bitter over the election and knew the havoc it would cause to the Bush administration...

Just think, only 23,000 detention beds available nationwide for the detention of illegals, which are pretty much always full, and mean that thousands of illegals get released every day because of a lack of space to detain them. Now there are hundreds of criminal illegals who come out of jails and prisons across the country every day, most of whom have previous deportations and would have gone right to the border within a day or two - now they all have to be processed for the hearings they are now entitled to, and find them a detention bed to await their hearing. And all an immigration hearing does is basically just determine if they have any right to be here.

Now also think of how backed up the immigration courts are, to the point where tens of thousands of aliens get released from immigration to await their hearings. Imagine the havoc this will wreak on the immigration court system as well. And I'm only talking about the criminals, nevermind all the non-criminals or those who use false documents or have misdemeanor convictions. Forget about detaining them for their hearings or getting a quick resolution, when they should just be deported again, like they were up until Thursday.

And not to mention this is now an incentive for people to llegally reenter, now that the penalty of immediate deportation is gone, and they can just hang around for years waiting for a hearing. This is really bad.

The ultra-liberal 9th Circuit deemed an important part of the 1997 immigration bill passed by Congress SEVEN years ago, to be illegal. Any illegal alien, regardless of the number of deportations, is now automatically entitled to a full hearing before an immigration judge. The 9th Circuit - contrary to the opinion of other circuit courts on this very issue, overruled the intent of Congress that an alien - from the everyday immigration scofflaw to the violent convicted felon - who illegally reenters the US and has been previously deported, is not entitled to a hearing, only immediate reinstatement of their prior deportation. Not to mention the expense of detaining the alien, and the expense to the US taxpayer to litigate the case in court.

Rantings by Hollywood lib celebs kind of backfired.
Vandalism and other acts of hate and intimidation by Dems kind of backfired.
And look at the father of Gerge Clooney despite his son's endorsement and $$$, he lost. Even George Soros' $$$$ couldn't help.

Ya think the public kind of got tired of the Dem and Hollywood antics?

I'd call the election results a major rejection of all things associated with the Democratic Party.

No - she blew off her hearing with an immigration judge, who ordered her deported. She then basically went into hiding with the order hanging over her head. The outstanding order trumps everything - and she can't "adjust" her status to a legal resident until the order is taken care of - either by effecting the order (deporting her) or the government agreeing to reopen the case (which would allow her to jump the line in front of millions waiting to immigrate the right way from their home countries.)

People are supposed to immigrate the right way - that is, applying in their home country and entering the US with their lawful visa - in her case, through her American husband. This is what happens to a lot of illegals - they crash the border illegally, maybe get a deportation order, but hang around in hiding hoping to find a benenfit they think will allow them to stay, like to marry an American - but fail to realize the order is still there, hanging over their head, so to speak. Then they simply expect it to go away since they found their "benefit."

If deportation orders simply went away based on getting married, that would create yet another incentive to enter illegally, go into hiding and pop up when a benefit becomes available. Returning to Ecuador might be an "inconvenience," but she needs to immigrate the "right" way and not expect special treatment due to her willful ignorance of the law in hopes of finding a means to remain - and jump the line in front of millions waiting to do it the right way.
