A fired Houston police officer has been found not guilty of official oppression in the videotaped beating of a teen burglar. The Harris County jury found 29-year-old Andrew Blomberg not guilty of official oppression. He was fired from the Houston Police Department after a videotape surfaced of the beating of Chad Holley during his March 2010 arrest. Holley was 15 years old at the time of the beating and arrest. He was later convicted of the burglary.

Chevron Corp. (NYSE:CVX) today provided authorities in Ecuador and the U.S. with video recordings that reveal a $3 million bribery scheme implicating the judge presiding over the environmental lawsuit currently pending against the company and individuals who identify themselves as representatives of the Ecuadorian government and its ruling party. In the videos, the judge confirms that he will rule against Chevron and that appeals by the energy company will be denied -- even though the trial is ongoing and evidence is still being received.

I took the picture of this picture at Dave & Busters in Houston. It was in one of their banquet rooms along with many other stock, nostalgic pictures of New York. Is this some kind of composite fake? Is she in a dirigible of some sort (unlikely)? Is she standing above a giant diorama? A scene from a movie? If it's a total fake, it was totally out of place among the other pictures.
