GVRO? Just on someone’s allegation/denouncement? NFW.
Better have a trial and conviction, first.
We have those pesky “due process”, “presumption of innocence” and “burden of proof” things to worry about. Or used to. GVRO is Lautenberg on steroids.
Let’s start this with the yurinalists, first. I think they’re going to hurt me with their articles (the pen is mightier than the sword, eh?). I want a Journalist’s Pen Restraining Order (JPRO), now. And an LEO should swing by to forcibly remove said JP, and the journalist, as well, while they’re at it.
This will do more to castrate our Military and LEOs than an actual DV conviction (a misdemeanor crime, not a felony). I saw too many troops in non-deployable status due to a Lautenberg conviction (could effectively not carry a weapon).
