Charley Pride was one of my favorites back then. He died Dec. 2020 of COVID. Breaks my heart. I was born in a town on the Mississippi River, so his song about the river meant a lot.

Unfortunately, I believe Newt is correct. Makes me glad I’m very old and probably won’t see the world the Dem’s would create. Sad for my children and grand children.

I’ll get one ONLY if my doc can guarantee it was not derived from embryonic stem cells either in the vaccine or in the testing of the vaccine. I will trust him because he is pro-life, goes to my church, and has (it seems) a dozen or so kids.

I read an article here where tests, in Italy I think, were positive for a goat and a pawpaw. Where did these “tests” come from? Maybe the guys testing at the meat plant should test a goat to see if it’s positive.

I watch tons of Indian movies, Bollywood, Tamil, Southern, Northern. Irrfan Khan was a fantastic actor and worked hard to bring India into a more modern world. I will miss his movies a lot. He wasn’t a handsome actor, but his range of skill was amazing. RIP.
I had hallucinations with H1N1 about 20 years ago. The fever would spike in the afternoon at about 105 or 104 and I’d see bats crawling out of the walls and ceiling. I remember vividly watching the bats crawl around and thinking to myself, “I know these aren’t real, but damn, they sure looks real.” After two afternoons, early evenings of this the fever finally spiked lower until finally the flu was over. I was actively sick for 10 days and took several more days to get up to snuff.

They better not close my mushroom hunting spots! It’s ready to start off once the woods start composting and ground temps hit 58. Should be an epic year.

I had a call way back when exactly like this. The squirrel was dead. The dispatcher wanted to know if I was sure this was the cause of the power outage and I responded that his teeth were still smoking.

Isn’t Payson where the beautiful red rock bluffs are? Or, is that Sedona? I lived there 45 years ago, and can’t remember. The mountains are great though!

I remember it like yesterday because I caught it. I hadn’t had the flu since about 1975 and that H1N1 (or Hini as I called it) hit me hard. I was down flat for 10 days and fevers hitting 104 and 105; I saw bats coming out of cracks in the ceiling and walls and thought to myself, “My gosh, I know this is an hallucination but those bats sure look real.” So, I’m not looking forward to catching C-19.
We live in a tiny town near Nowheres Ville, and my husband drove miles to the nearest LittleBigger Town to stock up on groceries we can’t find in our town. We do this every month, so it was our regular trip. He said there was not a roll of toilet paper in the store, not even in the camping section. When he got home we realized he’d forgotten a couple of items, to he went to our little, local market. They had toilet paper displayed all over the store with the regular price displayed.
