Thanksgiving Day itself is over. Now that we are back from early morning Black Friday bargain shopping, and are settling into the Friday leftovers of turkey soup and cranberry dressing sandwiches, it behooves us all to reflect on the true meaning of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a true American celebration with Biblical roots. One of our female MFP correspondents offers the following thoughts from her home in California.

How on earth do liberals think that turkeys die on the way to the table? Natural causes? Hey it could be worse, at least they weren’t the victim of a Bartial Birth Abortion. In one fell swoop, the admittedly boozy bloggers at “Unattributable” have taken a potshot at Free Republic, the Men for Palin AND at the Men for Palin web guru. Do we relish irony? I hope so! Are we ignorant? Blissfully so! But neither our ignorance nor our sense of irony has a darn thing to do with whether Bill creates conflicts of interest for Hillary. And without saying it, “Unattributable is implying that the Candidate of Change is actually shares this conflict with both Presidents Bush.

They have always said that with the Clintons, America gets two for the price of one. Now that President-elect Obama is seriously considering nominating HRC for Secretary of State, we must seriously consider the possibility that one of the undisclosed foreign donors to the William Jefferson Clinton Foundation might obtain superior access to the new Secretary of State as a special bonus for their generosity.

When Governor Sarah Palin addressed the Republican Governors Association today, she urged them to find conservative solutions to the nation’s current economic problems. She called on the govs to find free-market solutions. That’s a tough road when everyone in Washington - Democrat, Independent, Socialist (Bernie Sanders) and unfortunately Republican - is trying big-government-tax-and-spend-come-socialist solutions.

Over the past twenty years the Respect Life movement has won many victories in Congress, state legislatures and in the all-important Senate Judiciary Committee. On the threshold of the Age of Obama, we need to define the movement more accurately so that we can carve out a bigger and better position for future victories. To do that, we must move toward a comprehensive position of what we stand for, not just what we oppose.
