In a survey of the “Craziest Politicians of 2014,” GQ had difficulty locating any Democrats. Seventeen out of 20 on the list were Republicans, with the only liberals being Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson and America’s reigning nabob of nuttiness, Joe Biden. In a note appended to the story, GQ defensively said it wasn’t guilty of “standard liberal-media bias,” it just couldn’t find any loony Democrats to speak of. Let’s give GQ a little help, shall we? Elvin Payamps was arrested Wednesday after police responded to a call from a Queens bank customer who became alarmed as he listened to Payamps talking on his cellphone, a criminal complaint said. The customer, according to the complaint, heard Payamps say: "I'm going to kill another cop. We should do it before Christmas. The cop should have been white that was killed. I always have a gun on me."

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. —An Ashland woman accused of walking onto the Framingham Police Department and throwing sausage and bacon says God told her to go "feed the pigs." Lindsay McNamara represented herself in court Friday after being arrested earlier in the day. "Somebody's out to get me," she said in court. "I don't know who it is, but somebody is out to get me." McNamara, 24, is now charged with disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property after the incident Friday morning.

After hacking efforts that effectively shut down the release of Sony-produced film The Interview was traced back to North Korea by the FBI, the country has experienced widespread internet outages. So, naturally, this gave the Stars' entertainment team an ample opportunity to stir up a little national fervor in the proud American city of Dallas, Texas.

A war of words erupted in the city’s 911 call center Saturday over allegations two operators made “anti-police” remarks after the assassinations of two cops, the Daily News has learned. The fracas occurred when news broke that Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu had been shot execution-style by a deranged gunman, sources said. The remarks were allegedly made by a couple of the 911 operators who handle NYPD calls — and two Fire Department dispatchers in earshot got heated in response, sources said.

Five people have died and 21 others have been hospitalized in a listeria outbreak linked to caramel apples, federal health officials said today.. A total of 28 people infected with listeria have been reported from 10 states, according to a statement from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. Eleven of the cases are in the Midwest: five in Missouri, four in Minnesota and two in Wisconsin.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - An employee who works at a popular brewery in Coral Springs was seriously injured Sunday after he tried breaking up a fight between patrons and a waiter, police said. Coral Springs police were called to Big Bear Brewing Company, 1800 N. University Drive, after receiving multiple 911 calls from employees who feared for their lives. Police arrested Claude Galland, 29, and Michael Laguerre, 29, on complaints of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct after witnesses alleged the men assaulted a restaurant employee.

The head of the Cleveland Police Union is demanding an apology after Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins wore a shirt before Sunday's game that read, "Justice for Tamir Rice - John Crawford." Rice, a 12-year-old boy, died last month after he was shot by a Cleveland police officer who reportedly mistook his air gun for a real firearm. Crawford was shot and killed by police in August while holding an air rifle in a Wal-Mart.

State police made 23 arrests yesterday and hundreds of demonstrators snarled traffic through downtown Boston as they marched in protest of the killing of unarmed black men by police in Ferguson, Mo., and Staten Island, N.Y. “Several demonstrators who failed to comply with the law despite orders to do so have been taken into custody in the area of Nashua Street, near the ramps to Route 93,” state police said in a statement yesterday afternoon.

An unequal economic recovery has helped create the largest wealth gap between minorities and whites in more than a decade, a new report found. The gap has grown, as white Americans -- who are more likely to own stocks -- rode surging financial markets to greater wealth, the Pew Research Center said Friday. Meanwhile, minorities, hit harder by the housing crash, saw their wealth decline between 2010 and 2013.

NEW YORK — The highest-ranking Hispanic woman in a management position at Major League Baseball headquarters said in a lawsuit on Thursday she has faced discrimination there for two decades. Sylvia Lind’s lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court, seeks unspecified damages for what she describes as a failure by the league to consider, interview, appoint and promote qualified Hispanic women to managerial and executive positions. Lind, 48, says the league has created a hostile work environment for her because of her age.

A Memphis man has been charged with theft of property after driving away with a truck full of 7,500 pairs of the newest LeBron 12 Nike shoes with a retail value of approximately $1.5 million. In early November, police say Charles Jennings, an employee of cargo transportation company Intermodal Cartage Group, used his ID card to get into a secure lot and drive away with the valuable shoes.

Simpson, a dramatization of the double murder case that captivated the nation in 1995. Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire) will play O.J. Simpson, the football star accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and waiter Ronald Lyle Goldman. Sarah Paulson, who worked with Murphy on American Horror Story, will play prosecutor Marcia Clarke.
