  • Horowitz: Trump Donated to Queen of Sanctuary Cities, Kamala Harris

... Donald Trump donated thousands of dollars to extreme leftists in California, such as Jerry Brown and Gavin Newsom. But that was last decade, which was part of the “ancient” history before Trump’s cathartic conversion. More recently, while conservatives were fighting the Gang of Eight amnesty bill and Obama’s sanctuary nation policies, Trump donated $6,000 to Kamala Harris, the California attorney general who is, perhaps, one of the most notorious supporters of sanctuary cities in the country. In 2014, his daughter, Ivanka, also cut a $2,000 check to the queen of sanctuary cities. That was after Harris championed the despicable...

Now that we have the results from Super Tuesday a weakness is starting to show in Donald Trump's support. He seems to be mainly an East Coast Candidate. There have now been seven states that have voted west of the Mississippi. Of these seven elections Trump has only won two (Nevada, and Arkansas) while he has lost five (Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Minnesota, and Alaska).

In his remarks today at a rally in Fort Worth, Tex., Donald Trump knew he’d make news. “I’ve never said this before,” he declared. We’ll await the word of the Washington Post Fact Checker on the integrity of the statement, but Trump did appear to be veering into a new talking point. A media-law talking point, that is: One of the things I’m going to do, and this is going to make it tougher for me…but one of the things I’m going to do if I win…is I’m going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely...

Donald Trump said on Friday he plans to change libel laws in the United States so that he can have an easier time suing news organizations. During a rally in Fort Worth, Texas, Trump began his usual tirade against newspapers such as The New York Times and The Washington Post, saying they're "losing money" and are "dishonest." The Republican presidential candidate then took a different turn, suggesting that when he's president they'll "have problems." "One of the things I'm going to do if I win, and I hope we do and we're certainly leading. I'm going to open up our...

The news that Donald Trump turned down 94 percent of American job applicants to his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Fla., in favor of foreign workers brought in under the H-2B visa program should come as a surprise to absolutely no one.... [During] the campaign season, Trump has proven himself a liar of Clintonian proportions, and there has never been any reason to believe that he was somehow more trustworthy when it came to his rhetorical opposition to America's foolish immigration policies ... And, indeed, this turns out not to be the first time that Donald Trump has undermined American...

... "I can see the bumper sticker now: “Vote Trump – Because there are jobs Americans won’t do.” Cruz and Rubio finally landed some blows against Trump in this debate; Rubio’s mockery was especially amusing (and unnerving for Trump), though my man Cruz’s attacks were more serious and grounded. But at this late date, the hits Trump took on his (lack of a) health care plan, tax returns, even Trump University, might not make any difference. But the whole point of his candidacy is that he’s a nationalist, that his first concern is for America and Americans; his (obviously unread)...

Trump supporters and all other freepers please see this post which demonstrates why many of us are scared of some Trump supporters. Can we all please join together in denouncing any post which calls for a dictator? Here is the post in question. "What is needed is someone who has no moral values. What is needed is someone who will stop at nothing to achieve the destruction of the Uni-party. I could not care less if it were Donald Trump, Joseph Stalin,or Hitler. Anyone of them would be better for this country than the alternative. This is not the election...
  • Is the Trump campaign morphing into the Giuliani campaign Part II?

Now that Trump is making his defense of New York values the centerpiece of his campaign and doing that by making everything about 911 it seems to me like his campaign is sounding more and more like Giuliani 2.0. Here are the reasons I am thinking so. 1. He is trying to wrap himself and his New York values in 9/11 heroism. 2. His supporters don't seem to care about the fact that he publically attributed his support for partial birth abortion to growing up in New York City. 3. Many of his supporters seem to be quite happy to...

... After gaining control of two casinos through deals that loaded them with debt, [Trump] turned in 1987 to the Taj Mahal, a megaproject being built by publicly traded Resorts International Inc. Mr. Trump bought a class of shares that gave him just a slice of Resorts’ equity, but voting control. From that perch, he pushed through a service contract that would have the company pay him $108 million over five years. He told casino regulators the company could raise the cash needed to finish its casino only by assuring lenders Mr. Trump would remain involved, which this contract did....

I am honestly getting a little scared of what I see happening in politics at the moment. Trump seems to be creating a personality cult where his supporters don’t seem to care what they are supporting provided he attacks the people they don’t like. I am starting to feel a little bit like a German citizen in the early 1930’s watching normally rational conservatives start to cultishly follow a strong leader who they thought would fight back and stop the communists. Seriously if I had to pick a political philosophy for the Trump movement I would say that it is...

Should we be fighting fire with fire? The media and the Kos bloggers seem to be content to dredge up every minor detail from personal lives of Sarah Palin's kids. Since the media is determined to act in a partisan fashion as the enemy I wonder how hard it would be to fight fire with fire. Now that internet use has become so ubiquitous how tough would it be for us to form a conservative group to investigate partisan media figures. Such a group could publish to the world the scandles and family troubles of partisan media figures like Chris...

Kosovo/Albania: Investigate Postwar Abductions, Transfers to Albania Official Dismissals Premature (New York, May 5, 2008) – Additional information has emerged that bolsters allegations of abductions and cross-border transfers from Kosovo to Albania after the 1998-1999 Kosovo war, Human Rights Watch said today. The Kosovar and Albanian governments should open independent and transparent investigations to help resolve the fate of approximately 400 Serbs who went missing after the war. "Serious and credible allegations have emerged about horrible abuses in Kosovo and Albania after the war," said Fred Abrahams, senior emergencies researcher at Human Rights Watch, who investigated human rights violations in...

In her as yet unpublished book that Beta news agency has had access to, the former chief Hague prosecutor writes that she had hoped to reopen an investigation into NATO actions during the 1999 bombing of Serbia by the end of her mandate, "once the prosecution's work was not so dependent on the Alliance". ... Zoran Vujovic, a lanky, outgoing, sports-crazy college student, was the only person to die in the attack on the embassy. His death was a family tragedy. But the history of violence that has engulfed families such as the Vujovics also helps explain the burst of anti-American anger now sweeping Serbia. This latest spasm to wrack the Balkans began with Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence from Serbia on Feb. 17. The U.S. and much of Europe quickly supported the Kosovars, enraging many Serbs. But their anti-Western grievances have deeper roots. Zoran and his family were part of the Serb minority...

Why We Should Oppose Independent Kosovo Fjordman - 12/8/2007 Hans Rustad runs Document.no, the largest independent weblog in my country. A recent post there contained criticism of me, and I have already answered some of it. However, Mr. Rustad also claimed that I support a revisionist view of the Balkan wars of the 1990s which is "just as factually wrong, immoral and politically dangerous as David Irving's Holocaust revisionism." I consider that statement to be too awful to ignore, and decided to write a reply in English. I have said repeatedly that I believe the Balkan wars were far more...

Fred Thompson and the NRLC It is interesting that the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) has chosen to endorse Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson, a man who once offered legal advice to a pro-choice group, voted against key pro-life issues in the Senate and now espouses convoluted reasons for rejecting constitutional protection of the unborn. ... Recently, Mr. Thompson refused to support a constitutional amendment that would protect innocent life by restricting the availability of abortions. The sanctity-of-life amendment was a core plank in the Republican Party's 2004 election platform, and yet Mr. Thompson said he could not support...
