Just saw a segement on Fox with Rick Leventhal. He said the troops were starved for news and that the most important information they wanted was how the war was playing at home. Once again, the federal government robs the people of the opportunity to provide charity of choice rather than raiding the public treasury. Would it not have been better to allow the public, which has already begun charitable drives to help the victims in NYC an DC. Charitable organizations, businesses, communities and individuals have already signed on to the task of providing for their own citizens.
