On the day Bennie Coleman lost his house, the day armed U.S. marshals came to his door and ordered him off the property, he slumped in a folding chair across the street and watched the vestiges of his 76 years hauled to the curb.
  • "Hell on Wheels" S03E01: "The black man chooses and the white man pays"

"Hell on Wheels" is the most unflinchingly NOT politically-correct series you are likely to ever see. Not only is it a decent historical-fiction retelling of the Union Pacific railroad saga, it's got pretty good dialog and character development. My favorite quote from the first episode of season 3 is when railroad boss Cullen Bohannan purchases clothes for freed man Elam Ferguson for a meeting with the New York board of the railroad. He says to the tailor, "The black man chooses and the white man pays." There were multiple levels of meaning. It's a great show. You can watch it...
  • Was George Zimmerman targeted by the anti self-defense mafia because of anti-Semitism?

Netflix has created their own series about Washington called "House of Cards" starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. In Season 1 Episode 8, congressman Underwood and his chief-of-staff monitor the police radio bands until they get a shooting that fits the needs of their political agenda. This is probably pretty much what happened with the Saint Skittles propaganda campaign. My question is, do you think the fact that Zimmerman had a Jewish-sounding name was the reason they chose him, out of all the self-defense shootings they could have chosen?

House of Cards from Netflix is the first online-only series to be nominated for a Grammy. Episode 6 has a subplot that could be the blueprint for the Trayvon Martin racial entrepreneurial extravaganza. In order to derail a nationwide teachers union strike, Congressman Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his chief of staff monitor the DC police radio bands all night. In the morning they hear of a drive-by shooting. Frank contacts an online reporter he is sleeping with and has her tweet "Eight-year old Washington DC boy killed by stray bullet in gangland shootout. He should have been in school....

I just heard a sound bite of Ubama saying that when he said that Trayvon could have been his son, he meant that 35 years ago he could have been shot just like Trayvon. Sounds like an admission of guilt to me.

WARNING: What we're about to show you below is a disturbing image. Do not scroll down if you do not want to see it.America is abuzz as Trayvon Martin's case reaches a conclusion. The televised murder trial has been injected with sociopolitical significance as issues of race and gun control orbit around the witness stand. While the jury deliberates and as lawyers continue to call on witnesses, the mundane images of courtroom bureaucracy plaster themselves on televisions around the country, inviting people to watch along as if it were an episode of Law & Order: SUV.While MSNBC covered the case, the last photo taken of...
  • Zimmerman will be acquitted. Judge Nelson's attempt to force him to testify tells us so.

Judge Debra Nelson has behaved like a partisan hack the entire trial. Her asking George if he wanted to testify was beyond unusual. It was tantamount to jury tampering. She wouldn't have done any of this if the trial were going the way she wanted it to.
  • How did Obama's Senate campaign know to look at Jack Ryan's divorce records? NSA?

    07/07/2013 5:10:01 PM PDT · by E. Pluribus Unum · 37 replies
Barack Hussein Obama has never won a fair election in his life. He wins elections by clearing the field and stuffing ballot boxes. In his 2004 Senate election, he defeated Republican Jack Ryan by having his divorce records unsealed for no good reason other than his own political benefit. The question is, how did he know that those records were so embarrassing? Knowing what we know of the NSA at this point in time, I suspect that they gave him the information.

JIDDAH, Saudi Arabia (AP) -- Secretary of State John Kerry said Tuesday that the United States is not looking for a confrontation with Russia, where admitted NSA leaker Edward Snowden is believed to be hiding. Speaking at a news conference in Saudi Arabia, Kerry said it's true that the United States does not have an extradition treaty with Russia but called on Moscow to comply with common law practices between countries where fugitives are concerned...

Daniel P. Schrag, a White House climate adviser and director of the Harvard University Center for the Environment, tells the New York Times "a war on coal is exactly what's needed." Later today, President Obama will give a major "climate change" address at Georgetown University.  “Everybody is waiting for action,” Schrag tells the paper. “The one thing the president really needs to do now is to begin the process of shutting down the conventional coal plants. Politically, the White House is hesitant to say they’re having a war on coal. On the other hand, a war on coal is exactly what’s needed.”Obama's speech today...
  • Autism tied to air pollution, brain-wiring disconnect in studies

Researchers seeking the roots of autism have linked the disorder to chemicals in air pollution and, in a separate study, found that language difficulties of the disorder may be due to a disconnect in brain wiring.Researchers from Harvard University’s School of Public Health found that pregnant women exposed to high levels of diesel particulates or mercury were twice as likely to have an autistic child compared with peers in low-pollution areas. The findings, published Tuesday in Environmental Health Perspectives, are from the largest U.S. study to examine the ties between air pollution and autism. One in 50 U.S. children are diagnosed...

Thousands of companies are providing intelligence organizations with data such as vulnerabilities and equipment specifications, sources tell Bloomberg. In a twist on recent revelations about classified U.S. intelligence gathering, thousands of companies are reportedly supplying national security agencies with sensitive information in exchange for classified intelligence. U.S. Internet and telecommunications companies are providing government agencies with information such as vulnerabilities and equipment specifications rather than customers' private communications, sources tell Bloomberg. Software makers, Internet security providers, and telecommunications providers, among others, have agreements with the National Security Agency, as well as the CIA, FBI, and U.S. military to provide information...

WASHINGTON — Two years into a civil war that shows no signs of ending, the Obama administration is considering resettling refugees who have fled Syria, part of an international effort that could bring thousands of Syrians to American cities and towns. A resettlement plan under discussion in Washington and other capitals is aimed at relieving pressure on Middle Eastern countries straining to support 1.6 million refugees, as well as assisting hard-hit Syrian families.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- George Zimmerman's defense fund is almost depleted with less than two weeks until the former neighborhood watch leader goes on trial for fatally shooting Trayvon Martin, his defense attorneys said Wednesday.Zimmerman's attorneys posted on their website that the fund had less than $5,000 left. The fund had raised almost $315,000 back in January.Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder. He is pleading not guilty, claiming self-defense. His attorneys are calculating that Zimmerman needs another $120,000 to put on a good defense, or even another $75,000 to give him a fighting chance. His attorneys, Mark O'Mara and Don West, said...
