I disagree that a true Christian would have an abortion...yes a mainline Catholic or Mainline protestant, but not a saved Christian

Having an abortion is not a temptation that we give into in a weak moment, but a willful decision against God that takes planning.

For full disclosure I blame the people that have voted to give the right for a woman to have an abortion, more than I blame the woman...but that is in regard to the non Christian masses.

For a Christian to do it different story.

But if you listened hard to what the girl says....clearly she was only a nominal Christian and not saved.
No doubt this woman was from a mainline Church, probably one that has Democrats and Republicans, probably Catholic

Many people are unsaved and active in mainline liberal Churches.

Church does not determine if a person is saved or not, but you can be sure she was not from a white Pentecostal Church...I only say WHITE, because the ALL Black Pentecostal Churches support abortion by their democrat votes

And she was not from a Salvation Army Church or any Bible Believing Church for that Matter(Bible believing Churches do not vote Democrat)

I Love Sarah and animals, I love all God`s creatures, have had a pet raccoon was just like a cat, we found him and his brother on the road beside his dead mother. We kept one my cousin took the other.

Our raccoon was named Moe, we had him for 12 years until he was hit by a car , he slept on our beds, used the kitty litter box, went in and out with the cats, was a wonderful loving fellow, he used to put his arms around your neck and hug, while he made this cool kinda purring sound.

I also rescue Dogs and cats and am heartbroken by the cruelty shown them by spca`s dog pounds etc.

Yes I am a meat eater and have no problem with hunting etc, but every time I read threads like these they almost come across as if Conservatives dont like animals, I know this is not the case, but thats how it comes across to a lot of people.

I have people say to me, i am surprised that you are interested at all in the plight of suffering animals, being that you are a conservative

Yes I stop on the highway to move a turtle off the road, I take in homeless dogs and cats, I dont blowup a possum on my front yard, I bring the dog in and the possum goes away.

I know a skunk and a porcupine as well , my old neighbor down the road has a pet skunk rescued off the road, he is a hunter as well, you can see the skunk sitting on the back of the chesterfield looking out the window most days, he is very happy and is just like a cat, loves to be patted and is one of the family.

A wonderful indian woman near me (I live in the country) she has a sanctuary for pretty much any animal you can think of, she takes in Bear cubs raccoon’s, porcupines dear etc, they are either injured or just to young to look after themselves

They are all treated and released back into the wild once they recover with rare exception, I help her out when I can

She has no connection with Peta, she just does this out of her big heart, on donations from anybody that offers, actually a big operation.

So when we hear Conservatives dismissing anybody that helps animals as “animal rights” that has a negative handle because of some of the stuff the liberal groups have done, but it comes across as if Conservatives just dont like animals, I know this is not the case.

No problem with hunting, I am a meat eater, but I respect the animals, and my heart breaks for them when they suffer.

I took a gun course some years ago, the instructor talked about blowing up a porcupine just for kicks, I was offended...I patted a porcupine at the sanctuary, beautiful animal just like a cat or a dog.

I certainly do not respect killing for the sake of killing, if the meat is eaten wonderful.

I am a big Sarah Palin supporter, was just saying something that I have always wanted to say...

Bo Derek once said people say to her...I am so surprised that you like animals being that you are a Conservative or Republican

Lots of people here at Free Republic feel as I do absolutely, but am guessing assuming I will get trashed here as well, but that`s OK I dont give a crap

I am a pro life conservative Christian, I am a meat eater, I have no problem with hunting for food, just my opinion

And gfor anybody that wants to attack me, go for it, but just let me say eff off in advance

Eve Tushnet.... my sense from a bit of reading is that she really does not believe that homosexuality is a sin....I dont get her quite getting there.

Normally you can just punch in such and such on homosexuality etc, but it`s like she is playing it down, or kind of talks around it.

Yes sin is sin I get it, but to explain it away like....heterosexuality outside of marriage is also a sin...true indeed but, still seems to be in denial.

Why dont I get a result on google with the honest question...does Eve Tushnet believe homosexuality is a sin or not

sounds like she is along the lines of Joel Osteen, who when pressed will only say....well it`s not God`s best

We know that sexual immorality seems to trump most sins, and homosexuality gets the ABOMINATION tag, so I see it as her playing it down

I remember when gay was a nice word, having a gay old time etc, the movies I watch from the 40`s etc, a tough guy like Clark Gable or Jimmy Stewart could say...we had a gay old time.

I resent that they took such a nice word and brought shame to it.

Yes I want everybody to be saved.

If someone insists on calling themselves homosexual and they have left that lifestyle good for them I guess.

If they still say they support gay marriage for others I wont take them seriously though, and if they vote Democrat I certainly dont take anything they say seriously.

For sure would be great, they need to get over this lie that they are still homosexual once they repent. Personally I dont think the Catholic Church is equipped to help them unfortunately.

praise the Lord if they stop and invite Jesus into their life

They need the Baptism in The Holy Spirit, so perhaps Charismatic Catholics could help, but in a regular main line Catholic Church, dont see it. With God all things are possible... and BTW God Be merciful to me a sinner

Teen Challenge, even their program is not open to homosexuals. Not out of a lack of love, just because of the reality of the situation.

I believe Jesus can remake them if they completely submit to God, the outcome would not still be refering to oneself as homosexual.

One more thing...if they vote Democrat there is no hope for them, the same as any Democrat.

To vote Democrat in any way shape or form is to support gay marriage, abortion and the removal of God/Christ from the classroom/public square.

Repentance for anybody coming to Christ would have to include repenting from being a Democrat and or liberal.

Liberal Christianity or Christian Democrat...both terms are oxymoron’s.

I think we tell them the homosexual lifestyle is an abomination, a sin against God.

If they are celibate and not trying to rationalize their past behavior, they need to know that they are listening to lies from the devil, especially if they have a need to refer to themselves as gay or homosexual.

What is the Church doing for those that are sexually attracted to children, nothing I hope.

If they feel that gay marriage is acceptable in any way shape or form, or if they try and rationalize it as being no different from other sins, that is troubling.

The word abomination isn`t used very often in the Bible.

I think they need to be told that Homosexuals will not inherit eternal life.

I say tough love is the most loving, it`s a sin against God, and they need to have this made clear to them.

A good Pentecostal Church (meaning not a ALL Black one) has it right, The Salvation Army etc. Tough Love is the only way to go, pray over them, but becoming liberal to accomodate them is to turn our backs on God

Her run for President came across to me as self serving, she felt in her mind she could become the next Sarah Palin, but just does not have the gravitas. That`s how I read her.

The repetitive talk of her supposed foster kids??? It would have been better if others spoke of her good works, rather than her saying it.

Having said that I agree with most of what she says,,,She hurt the cause of Sarah Palin when she ran for President

I put Rick Santorum in the same category ...Rick wants us to believe he is this great Christian yet he trashed Sarah Palin and did not back Toomey over Specter...yes I know the situation at the time, but he never sounded like the guy that ran for President while in the US Senate

Why isn`t CNN having the same “witnesses” on air again that they first did in the early days? Answer: because it would be like admitting they were wrong, better for the CNN agenda to just quote the 16 of 29 originally stated hands up.

They probably have spoken to each one since GJ testimony, but knew re interviewing them on air would only help Officer Darren`s image...they do not want that
