Just went to the CBS website to find contact info for 60 Minutes; I wanted to complain about not covering the Swifties but they are going to cover Barns. Anyway, the site has the American Flag in backwards, as the symbol of their coverage of the RNC. Maybe someone with more talent than me, can post a picture of what I am talking about.

Here is part of a Fox News story about the murdered woman in Salt Lake. Lori Hacking, 27, had apparently learned she was five-weeks pregnant just days before she vanished and told friends and relatives, though Dinse said police still had no proof. He said if investigators find her body and her pregnancy is confirmed, police would consider bringing an additional charge against her husband.

Watchdog Group to File Compliant Over Nader Aid By SAM HANANEL, AP WASHINGTON (June 29) - A watchdog group says it will file a complaint with federal election officials, accusing two conservative organizations of illegally helping Ralph Nader's presidential campaign, possibly with support from President Bush's re-election campaign. Both groups acknowledge trying to influence Nader's petition drive Saturday in Oregon, in hopes that getting him on the ballot would take votes away from Democrat John Kerry and help Bush win the battleground state. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington planned to file its complaint Wednesday with the Federal Election...

I have been watching the video feed of the Capital Rotunda and I am completely amazed and ever so grateful to be an American. I watched a young man (appeared to be of Asian decent) and he stopped and bowed three times; I have seen families walk in with their young children to pay their respects. I saw young woman, too young to have voted for Reagan but old enough to know what a great leader he was, and she stopped, bowed her head and then wiped the tears from eyes; retired service men and woman stopping to solute Reagan....

Race in Bush's District Tough for GOP By ANGELA K. BROWN, AP WACO, Texas (April 10) - Republicans hold every statewide elected office in Texas, rule both legislative houses and are expected to soon control the congressional delegation. This is clearly Bush country. Yet the GOP may have trouble breaking the Democrats' grip in the congressional district that includes the president's Crawford ranch - even after the state's map of congressional districts was redrawn to favor Republicans.

Majority supports Bush on terrorism By Richard Benedetto, USA TODAY WASHINGTON — Most Americans still approve of President Bush's leadership in the war on terrorism, even after a week of accusations that he failed to pay enough attention to intelligence warnings before the Sept. 11 attacks. Although a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll finds that 53% believe the Bush administration is "covering up something" about its handling of intelligence before 9/11, 67% say it could not have prevented the attacks. But 54% say Bush still could have done more beforehand.

MOSUL, Iraq (July 24) - It was 10 a.m. when the four Humvees pulled up outside the handsome villa on Shalalat Street and disgorged a party of U.S. soldiers. Over a bullhorn, they told the occupants to come out with their hands up. What followed was a firefight from the ground and air that reduced the comfortable villa to a smoking hulk. And only then did the troops find out how high the stakes had been: Their targets, they discovered, were Saddam Hussein's sons Odai and Qusai, second in power only to their father. The raid was a ''turning point''...
