  • Did Israeli Intelligence know about the September 11 attack beforehand?

    Foxnews | December 11, 2001
The Foxnews ticker at the bottom of the screen is reporting that Israeli intelligence may have known about the September 11 attacks beforehand and yet didn't tell the U.S. Anyone have a link to this story so I can peruse it myself? I seriously doubt the legitimacy of the claim, but I would have to withhold judgment until I read the story itself.

Foxnews just showed a speech by a New Black Panther Party official who called our war against Afghanistan a war against Islam, and blamed Bush for the September 11 attacks. Foxnews should not be giving a forum to such blatantly false propoganda. Our media should not be purposely undermining the war effort. We can't let what the media did in Vietnam happen again in Afghanistan! Email Foxnews at comments@foxnews.com and tell them you don't appreciate their attempts to undermine the war effort.

  • Large Trucks Banned in Capitol Area

    AP via Washington Post ^ | Oct. 10, 2001
WASHINGTON –– Police are banning non-delivery trucks larger 1.25 tons from a 40-block area around the Capitol as part of stepped-up security in the city. The ban, set to take effect at 5 a.m. Thursday, is not related to any specific threat, Capitol Police spokesman Lt. Dan Nichols told a news conference Wednesday evening. Trucks making deliveries to the Capitol complex will continue to pass through the normal security screening – where they're looked over, sealed and tracked electronically, as has been done for years. • Who's winning the tug of war in the US?

Business Times ^ | Leon Hadar
Who's winning the tug of war in the US? Concern is rising that unless Bush retaliates soon, Americans' sense of patriotism could turn into anger, reports LEON HADAR from Washington 'I HAVE a message for our military: Be ready!' These were some of the fighting words that US President George Bush used in his televised address before Congress which analysts described as a 'call to arms' aimed at mobilising the American people to fight a lengthy and costly war against terrorism. There is no doubt that Mr Bush's speech made Americans feel good and raised their expectations for an immediate ...

Dear Mr. President: I want to tell you that you have lost my vote in the 2004 election. Though I voted for you in 2000, though I donated to your Victory 2000 campaign, and though I wore your pins and t-shirts, I cannot support you again. Your diplomatic team, by trying to build a world coalition, has allowed Middle-Eastern and Arab dictatorships to dictate what we can and cannot do to respond to the attacks that took place on September 11. Instead of following the example of Ronald Reagan and basing foreign policy only on what is in the best ...
  • FOXnews Talking about Nationalizing Airlines... Bad Idea!

    09/19/2001 4:59:28 PM PDT · by Heisenburger · 19 replies · 208+ views
    FOXnews ^ | 09/19/2001
FOXnews just ran a piece saying that the Airlines might need to be nationalized. This would be a huge mistake, especially since most nations have been moving away from such blatant socialism. Make no mistake, the airlines were having major financial problems before the attack on the WTC and Pentagon. They are merely trying to use the tragedy to get government handouts or government protection, which they really don't need. Nationalization of the airlines will discourage competition and thus result in higher prices and more inefficiency, meaning higher taxes to support the airline bureaucracy. The reason some airlines are going ...

Many, like myself, are asking why the U.S. has not yet responded to the acts of war committed against innocent Americans by Osama bin Laden, the Taliban, and possibly the government of Iraq. Even more, some of us are doubting whether the military will respond at all beyond firing a few cruise missiles into empty mountain ranges in Afghanistan. Though some may argue that the U.S. is planning a large-scale invasion, it is not beyond the pale to ask that the military makes an immediate down-payment on future attacks. Such a down-payment would weaken the Taliban's alertness as they would ...

  • Eisenhower on Arabs

    Eisenhower: Soldier and President p. 84 | 1990 | Stephen Ambrose
Eisenhower, when dealing with the Arabs in Algiers during Operation Torch in North Africa, wrote of the Arabs: "Arabs are a very uncertain quantity, explosive and full of prejudices. Many things done here that look queer are just to keep the Arabs from blazing up into revolt. We sit on a boiling kettle!" You can call it racist if you want. Though I don't believe it necessarily applies to Americanized Arabs over here, I believe our experiences this week and in the past have shown his quote to be very, very true.

What if Ronald Reagan were President? There may be bets that his action would be severe, and would already have come, but we have yet to see what Bush will do, and we can be sure it will be a justified "orgy of death." We can also be sure that Reagan would never have acted without full planning and knowledge of the outcome. No, if Ronald Reagan were President, the retaliation would not have already come, and it probably wouldn't be worse than what Bush will launch. Still, when Ronald Reagan was President, not everyone liked us, but everyone feared ...
  • Bush not asking for Declaration of War

    President George W. Bush
We all just saw Bush on TV talking about investigating this tragedy and generally pussy-footing around the issue. What Bush is forgetting is that we are sure of who has done this, and there is no reason anymore for investigations. If Bush will not ask Congress for a Declaration of War against Afghanistan, I say Congress should force his hand by passing such a declaration immediately.
  • Suspicious car and owner seized in Daytona! (Bin Laden connection)

Just reported on local news channel, WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando, that a car has been seized in Daytona Beach. Someone called the authorities after the attacks when they looked into the car and saw picture of Osama Bin Laden in one of front seats. Also, car had a sticker of the United Arabs (whatever that is), and the owner is said to have been a student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University here in Central Florida. For those unfamiliar with Embry Riddle, it is one of the premier pilot training schools in the U.S. where pilots are trained to fly commercial ...
  • Gore liars, err lawyers, clearly in contempt of court.

When Boies et al released unofficial vote totals saying that Gore had gained 58 votes statewide, not only were they lying according to all published accounts of the farcical recount, but they were also in contempt of court for violating Judge Lewis's ruling that no partial recount totals be spoken of either formally or informally. I suggest the Bush lawyers file a brief in Lewis's court charging Boies & Co. with contempt of court.

I turned on my radio at 2 eastern to listen to Rush, and the first thing I hear him talking about is that there are 3 GOP electors that are going to defect and vote for Gore. Was Rush being serious? Is this thing confirmed, or is it only a liberal rumor, like the rumor last night that Judge Nikki was going to rule for Gore?
