  • No Spending Problem - Say What?

    01/08/2013 2:54:05 PM PST · 6 of 7
    jihadjim to Kaslin

Cutting taxes will not reign in spending as long as they can continue to borrow and the Fed is willing to monetize the debt. There are 4 approaches to dealing with the debt crisis.

Cut Spending. Spend less and you reduce the amount of borrowing. Cut enough and you can reduce the debt.

Raise taxes. Bring in more revenue and you have to borrow less, unless you spend more. The other problem is that the increased revenue only lasts until the taxpayers adapt to the new taxes. The liberals will point to the Clinton Budget surpluses as “proof” this works. Ignoring the fact that Clinton was in office during the Internet bubble and prior to 9/11.

Grow the economy, this is difficult when you increase taxes and regulations. But this also works 100% of the time because it increases the tax base and reduces the outflows of government assistance. This is the real reason for the Clinton budget surplus. With the internet bubble we reached almost full employment and maximized revenue. But, alas it was a bubble. The economy grew between 1995 and 1999 not because of Bill Clinton, but in spite of Bill Clinton.

Devalue the currency. Reduce the value of the currency reduces the value of the debt. Problem is this causes hyper-inflation - the worse tax of all. It devastates the economy and eventually results in more government spending to address the problems it causes, or as we’ve seen in Latin America, a socialist/communist revolution.

I’m afraid that this last election has sealed our fate. 51+% of the voters owe their subsistence to the government and the protectors of their programs, the Democrats. They allowed public workers to unionize, illegal immigration to continue unabated , voter id laws to be blocked, seized 1/7 of the US economy through Obama Care. Don’t be fooled, the penalties for employers not providing health care was purposely kept low. Not to help small business but to incentivize large businesses to dump healthcare. This will result in employee paid health care to wane and a single-payer plan to take hold. It may take 15 years but it will happen. Healthcare will be rationed and senior citizens denied life extending treatment for the ‘greater good’. Liberals already pro-rate the value of human life from conception to birth they will have no issue pro-rating the last few years. Remember, the Nazis were Socialists first, insane tyrants second.

Now they will take the guns.

Face it everyone - the game is over and we lost. We can’t win another Presidential Election and the Republican’s in Congress have no backbone to stop the inevitable..

This analysis assumes you suspend contributions during term of the loan. As long as you maintain your contribution level and pay the loan payments you lose nothing. As some people already pointed out you may get a better rate of return than the market. If the loan is in lieu of another loan from a bank then why not pay interest to yourself as long as you don’t suspend your investment contribution.

OK I'm convinced. If Romney gets elected we will all be wearing strange underwear riding bicycles with white shirts and skinny black ties. But that won't be enough, then he will close all the Starbucks, outlaw Coke Classic and anything else with caffeine. Donnie and Marie will perform at the inauguration and finally who can argue with have more than one first lady.

All your answer does is explain a difference of theology. That in and of itself does not make it a ‘cult’.

Personally I don’t care. I’s prefer a Mormon as my lawyer, CPA, doctor, and yes even President. I just wouldn't’t have one as my pastor. This religion issue is a sideshow and purpose of religion in a President is to have a moral compass, Bill Clinton claimed to be Southern Baptist, I guess faking your religion is OK, just don’t stand by your religion if I don’t like it.

Honestly what are you zealots afraid of? Mitt as President is going to make you wear funny underwear, shut down all the starbucks, and make you drink Diet Sodas?

Miata is a girly car. A man can drive one but first he must remove his testicles and place them in the glove box. Same guy that drives a Miata can also be found holding his wife’s or girlfriend’s purse while she shops and willingly goes with her to Pilates class. This same male (genetically speaking) once married will still go dancing at a club because its ‘fun’....

PT Cruiser, Jaguar X-type, VW Bug, and anything with a Scion nameplate is girly.

Also any Hybrids are for Guilty white liberals and are girly.

This whole sub-prime meltdown is much to do about nothing. The CNBC report I saw is that there is a $100B in sub-prime loans, lets assume for sake of argument that 25% default (highly unlikely) and result in foreclosure. Thats $25B of the loans. Lets assume backs only recover 50% of home value after foreclosure sale and carrying costs. Result is a $12.5B in losses. A drop in the bucket of a $5 Trillion economy.

These things end up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy based more on hysteria than fact.

Oh your so right how could I have been so negligent so let me rephrase it so even you can comprehend.

'I don't think I got in,'" Roethlisberger said, so the guy carrying the ball didn't THINK he got in and the video replay CONFIRMS his thought. There is that better - jeesh you people are so anal. I bet your sock drawer is impeccable.

Roethlisberger admits: 'I don't think I got in'

"I told Coach, 'I don't think I got in,'" Roethlisberger told Letterman. "But we were getting ready to go for it on fourth down anyway, and I would have run it again. So we would have found a way to get in."

OK does that settle it. The guy carrying the damn ball said he didn't get in....

Well I live in Texas and couldn't give a damn who won, but for sure these officials were either biased or incompetent. There were 5 bad calls on the Seahawks that I saw and only 1 was reversed. First the touchdown. Official doesn't throw flag until player claims to be pushed. First Steeler touchdown and official does not raise hands when he sees ball cross the plane, no he waits walks toward the pile of players and then raises his hands. Usually the hands go up as soon as the ball crosses the plane. Replies clearly showed ball did not cross plain. I replayed it frame by frame. Then there was that stupid tackle call.

But at the end of the day I still think if all the calls had gone the Seahawks way they still would have lost. Steelers dominated the second half and Seahawks couldn't defend against the gadget plays or have their safety's pick up a 75+ yard run.

So despite all the drama the best team did win but it was not as close as it should have been.

Because it is based on faith of believing in a theory that can't be proved. Its the THEORY of Evolution, not a fact.
Evolution has not been proved and can't be proved by observation, hence it has to be believed on faith just as any other religion. I notice a theme by Evolutionist Religious Zealots that they can't seem to handle the truth.

Evolution is a religion just as any others. Applying mathematical probability of natural selection to EVERY species on the planet, including plants, animals, sea creatures, and insects for each have evolved from a single cell has a probability of zero taking even the most extreme estimate of the earths age into consideration. Then having to start nearly from scratch after the demise of the dinosaurs. Now THAT is taking something on faith. Indoctrinating young minds on such nonsense is not science -- its a cult. The fact of the matter is we don't know and until we do all THEORIES should be taught. Hell when I was a kid in early 70's we were being told of the coming Ice Age by the parents of these same psuedo-intellectual 'scientists'. Now its global warming - hey I got an idea maybe its the fricken Sun. By the way what caused all the global warming the eliminated the first Ice Age? Caveman cooking Bronto burgers?

Of course then there is that sticky problem of when time began and where did all that matter come from that was involved in the big bang.

The autopsy proves nothing as it was performed on a severely dehydrated brain which had no infusion of water for two weeks. I’d buy the conclusions if they had run the advanced medical tests on her brain - that were never performed - before she died.
To do an autopsy after hyperatremia due to dehydration and say you can make absolute conclusions on the brain before she died is simply incompetent and demonstrates not only intellectual bankruptcy but a clear agenda.

    Dehydration causes:
cell dehydration and cell volume contraction
    brain shrinkage
causes the brain to pull away from the calvarium
    tearing of bridging subdural vessels
    intracranial hemorrhage
    etc., etc.

    Sound familiar?
Unfortunately we lost the only opportunity to establish the truth which was to run the tests before she died.
