  • Jim Banks: GOP ‘Adamant’ About Not Touching Social Security, Medicare in Debt Ceiling Talks

Forced, yes, but they did vote for people that kept growing that system instead of reforming. We or our children may go a different direction, I doubt it, but I desire it. Just because you believed in a ponzi scheme does mean that we still do. You elected people that said we will take your money and give it to other people, vote for us. Maybe we just cut the stealing from the producers to enough to cover a ratio of 1/6 instead of the current ration of 1/2, payers to consumers. The demographics demand a change. But I guess printing, paying out and inflation is an easier pill for people to swallow. But please just stop bitching about inflation if you refuse to touch entitlements.

Over 65% of spending go to SS, Medical, and welfare. None of which the Feds have any constitutional authority.

Thats the thing though Tesla was having some of the best selling models in the market. None of the BEV manufacturers could keep up with demand. Why do you subsidize a booming market? Why basically transfer billions of dollars from taxpayers, to giant auto manufacturers. If they were serious on the “green”, they would subsidize individuals to crush highly polluting autos that are are registered and actively driven +5K miles per year. Probably 10x better for carbon release then to subsidize someone driving a highly efficient hybrid to buy a BEV. My preference is neither and I argue Feds have no authority to subsidize individual purchases of anything.

What about our human rights not to be economic slaves to other groups of citizens. Already 15% of income/productivity is taken from workers (employee + employer share). What percentage do you think is “fair” to steal from young citizens to pay for old citizens? Maybe 20-25% should be taken from me and my young family to pay for those that chose to not plan for their own future. How about the government takes all your resources, and your direct families to pay your bills before coming after mine.

Of course none will ever be cut, leaders are perfectly happy just printing money to steal the money in a hidden manner through inflation.

There is no moral way to support stealing from one citizen to give to another. You wouldn’t think it was right for you to go over to your neighbors house and take his money. Having government do this for you is no different. I do not give this voluntarily.

  • The Truth About Steven Crowder's $50 MILLION DOLLAR Feud with Ben Shapiro's Daily Wire

Wonder why Crowder was taking bids from other companies if he no interest if the other company could remain successful. Dailywire is not a giant company, money they might have put at risk to Crowder was of such significance, it might mean the failure of the company, if they were unable to sell ads for the content, yet still have to pay Crowder huge money. This is not like spotify for Rogan where they have their own platform to distribute ads and content. DW is building that up, but it is not yet there to pay all the bills. I get it though Crowder seems to want someone else to run the business but for him to take none of the risk himself, and maybe he is big enough for some company to take that risk. I certainly do not believe DW is attempting to suppress opinions like big tech, listening to their staff podcasts, I certainly get the impression they can say most anything they want, and if they have more they want to say that borders on banning, they can take it to their DW+ audience. Tim of Timcast spoke of some of this today. Being the on air talent and running a complicated business is consuming. Some talent will want to offload that to a company so they can focus on content, and some like Tim want to do it all themselves. We will see which way Crowder moves. Will he “sellout” to a giant media company and offload the management headache or take it all on himself and see what kind of success he can have as a business man.

  • Trump has called several GOP donors who contributed money to Ron DeSantis asking them to stop boosting the Florida governor: report

I don’t know that I agree. Trump was completely focused on himself after the 2020 election and ignored the GA run off elections. As I remember he did nothing to rally the base and his constant drum beat of your vote not counting really hurt. Losing control of the senate led to may of the Biden initiatives being passed. Trump is and always has been an ego maniac. Is this particular story true, I have no idea, but I can picture Trump putting his own interest ahead of the countries. There also is the point that we don’t need another 78 year old person as our president, so why isn’t he just playing role of king maker and cutting off all discussion of running for office again.

  • Electric Cars Are Not ‘Zero-Emission Vehicles’

This (in use)!! Words mean things and zero emissions is when the device is in its normal use. We don’t measure ice emissions when the car is not running. Otherwise terms like lifetime emissions are used trying to cover all the steps in mining, manufacturing, use to disposal. Even when doing lifetime emmisions BEV are generally less carbon producing the ICE.

Lots of people are also buying BEV for other reasons then emmisions or climate change. Most are a blast to drive, can wake up to a “full” car, is not difficult to produce your own energy to fuel the car. Much lower maint. requirements (so far). I don’t believe these will be considered green long term, almost nothing humans manufacture can be. In 10-15 years we will see what is happening to millions of spent batteries and know if the recycling dream is achieved.

You ignore such data at your own detriment. I read other sources of info, and on the left they are lining up for vaccine boosters, masks, loan forgiveness and other such nonsense. Hopefully Trump or others don’t continue with this message that voting is useless because the fix is in. That is how Trump directly caused the loss of the senate from the GA run offs. You only need a small percentage of conservative voters to throw in the towel to have republicans loose once again.

Right because I want our schools to go from teaching one fantasy, of everyone one is a racist and men can have babies to another that the dead can be re-born. It was not even widely accepted at the time, but by a small audience that had a lot to gain with the story. But neither here nor there, how about just the 3 Rs not even athletics. Other beliefs, indoctrination and club participation should happen in some other forum. Though if you have those beliefs, why you would have your children in government schools is beyond belief. There are plenty of private schools very much interested in teaching those lessons.

I did the same back in the 80s. Then I set aside money for my two kids so they didn’t have to take out loans. Now I am also setting aside money for my granddaughter. Now the government comes along and exposes me for a rube. Should have just taken out loans and refused to pay them back. Anyone that accepts the “forgiveness” needs to have their voting privileges revoked until the debt holder is fully compensated. If you accept tax payer funds, with no associate work to earn that money, you don’t get to vote for at least 1 year unless that money is paid back. And yes I include SS, medicare, welfare recipients in that. It is amoral that people can vote themselves money from the treasury. If you choose to suck on the government teat, you have shown no interest in being a current productive member of society and thus should not be trusted with voting on the productive citizen future liabilities.

How can it be possible that good men ever want to go into policing in these democrat run cities. Either they will be prosecuted anytime a perp resists arrest or they will have to ignore a certain subset of criminals. I understand if you already have a number of years of seniority it would be more difficult to leave, but why would anyone new start? Every honest policeman on the force should have gone on strike as soon as those men were wrongly accused of a crime. Because they should understand their leadership does not give a single sh_t about their existence.

Don’t know, most of the leadership voting to support this nonsense are boomers. And boomers are always at the head of the line asking for more social security or health care assistance or any number of programs geared to the elderly. It unfortunately is common among many people to not want to be free, and have the responsibility to care for themselves and to honor their own commitments.

They cannot be responsible for making a good decision about borrowing money, yet they get the responsibility to vote. Maybe if you choose to accept government money (or forgiveness of a debt), that you didn’t earn, you should lose your right to vote for an appropriate number of election cycles to keep from having your vote bought.

  • BREAKING: California to begin sweeping BAN on new gasoline car sales TOMORROW in bid to reach 100 percent zero emissions by 2035

How long until California auto situation looks like Cuba, with so much effort is made to keep useful autos on the road. I am not sure how this shakes out, but new and used ICE prices must go up as there will more demand then the allowed supply and BEV are still in very limited supply and most models are also having rising prices. Probably would have reduced emissions more had they focused on removing autos 15 or more years old yet still be driven at least 8K miles per year. Instead of paying poorer people to replace their high emissions cars we take that money and subsidize wealthy to buy BEV. Makes perfect sense.

SS has always been a pay as you go system. Your generation agreed to pay oldsters income by taking your money and paying them. There is no investment, no gains for SS paid in, it all goes into the general fund and is spent. Eventually the young will see what a terrible deal this is for their own investments and future. But oldsters vote in huge numbers so not likely we will see them voting to reduce the stealing from their kids and grandkids to pay them. There should never have been a federal method that passed constitutional muster to take from one citizen and pay another for any reason unless they were actually working and performing a service for the government.

Depending on what the grid charges for “hookup” you might still retain that connection, as backup, for some damage to your system. That might be cheaper then a generator and keeping the fuel fresh for that use case. Have seen inverter/chargers fail, panels damaged in severe weather, or just bad weather for several days in a row. A lot of people go off grid because getting the original connection to their homestead can be very expensive, but you already have that.

I agree about prosecution, without evidence, between adults (not hearsay) at the time of incident, then sorry the state should not intervene. But still I think we should heap scorn on men behaving like this to take advantage on the weak and weak minded. I believe the women should come forward and sue for damages if they believe they were wronged, in a civil court. Lots of men have a weird satisfaction on their trophies it is disappointing we have not raised them to have more respect for themselves and the weaker sex.

I think a number of predators and con men keep that story of being discovered in some random situation alive for this purpose. People want to believe it so they do, it is relatively easy to convince people of something they already want to believe. Lots of these girls were told their young lives they are pretty and talented so someone in authority singing that song is like a pied piper.

The country they want to be a part of over run with illegal invaders. Don’t care about crime and safety in the cities. But let someone use a bad analogy and they get out the pitchforks. This smells like another distraction to get people talking about irrelevant topics. Who cares what Jill Biden says, she is a nobody married to a man with political power.

If woman will not rise up and throw these people out of their events, they why should the rest of us care? Perhaps this just devolves into a sports team that take whomever are the best players. That in most cases will exclude women and men claiming to be women, but so what? If women want this changed, then rise up and change it. None of these sports interest me, I think scholarships for athletes are a scam the sooner we reach the point where you succeed or fail in your objectives based on what you capabilities you bring to the table the better. I have come to accept that my 5’10 uncoordinated self will never play in the NBA, and so should practically all other humans on the planet.
