Did a lot of interviewing early in my work life working for a headhunter/job placement. Minnesota folks were always nice and pretty darn smart. Now 30 years later I do not get that impression at all any longer for the later generations.

Did you hear about the girl that came into the office after fleet week and told her blonde co-worker that she had made love to 2 Brazillan Sailors, the blonde said, I didn’t know there were that many.

Recently picked up a Bible of the Gospels that is written in regular book form ie without numbers on each line, after reading the KJV for years this one is very pleasant to read and the font is easy on these old eyes.

One of the curious things about FR. People that dislike football, baseball, soccer, golf often come on these threads and tell us how (fill in your favorite derogatory term here) we are for watching these athletes. I just enjoy watching good athletic competitions.
Don’t mind if they do it, it’s their right, but it IS odd.
I am somewhat like you with golf, Pebble Beach, The Masters and the British Open are about all I watch of that sport but can do it all day Sat and Sunday.

Ah yes, the good old days. Kids are 22 and 24 and out on their on. Really miss those years 2000-2020, still fun to see them but it is not the same for sure.

Watched a good movie “News of the World” with Tom Hanks going around Texas during the 1870s reading newspapers to the locals. If we got the news once a month by a guy reading the events to us, we would be a bit less anxious about things happening out there.

Grew up in Dallas and learned to love baseball when the Rangers came in the early 70s. We had Ted Williams, Billy Martin, and Whitey Herzog as managers, good baseball men.
Different era, game was changing.

MCRD, the good old 80s. That first morning before we were assigned that DI came in barking at 430, and I wondered what the heck did I do. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.
