When Sundance replaced Mark Levin in the hearts of so many Freepers, I should have taken the hint. The site has become almost totally partisan. That partisanship is leading to such incredible, slanderous commentary that you would have to look twice to see if you are at FR or DU. We talk about a circular firing squad, and here one pops up. We are destroying our chance to move the ultra left out of the White House by trying to destroy each other. So finally, sadly, I think it is time for me to go, I don't want to be...

There are unconfirmed rumors out that M Bloomberg has been taking steps to turn over control of his operations in preparation for a presidential challenge. The announcement is rumored to be coming as soon as March 2. My question: If Bloomberg were to announce, and mount a full throated campaign, what effect would it have on the D and R primaries? No snark, no flame wars, no BS, but I am curious what Creepers think?

As regards nothing political, I made my weekly stroll through the local pawn shops today. Mondays are when they put all the guns they recovered from recent boating accidents and I sometimes pick up a good deal. There was a woman in one trying to pawn a small safe. She didn't have the combination so couldn't get open. Apparently she had called ahead to ask if they took safes and was told yes. She was screaming to heaven about all the work she did getting it there and they better give her some money for it. The guy behind the...

I will donate $50 to FR for the first person who can prove Ted Cruz tweeted anything other than what was contained in the CNN announcement. I will accept as proof a link to any available video, screen grab, Twitter post, etc that shows TED CRUZ saying it. No opinions, inferences, logical conclusions, third party accounts.

I wonder if anyone still remembers Dr Carson saying he would reconsider his campaign if he didn't make top 3 in 2 of the first 4 states. Just in case, here is the Steve Malzberg interview, just click on the video: http://www.newsmax.com/Newsmax-Tv/ben-carson-will-quit-campaign/2016/01/07/id/708610/ Now, here we have in Iowa a candidate who tells one of his staffers that he is going home for a rest, he will not go to the next 2 primary states to campaign. He is sitting solidly in fourth in Iowa, even worse in the polls for the next 3 states. This staffer lets slip that Carson...

Based on comments posted here in the last couple of days I get the idea that we could have a disastrous election result in November. I won't call anyone out but I wonder how many more there are here who would choose Hillary over Cruz. Two scenarios: 1. Cruz vs Clinton - which one would you vote for? 2.Trump tries independent/third party run - would you vote for him? I'm actually scared to see the results of this little unofficial poll.

So, how far will the polls flip in NH, in the next 48 hours. I say Trump drops 8-10, Cruz up 6-8, Rubio up 4-6. How far off am I?

Had a great day today at the county GOP candidates forum. Had 4 federal candidates speak, 3 state level, all the county offices, 31 in all. I picked up 7 volunteers for the Cruz campaign, 3 previously undecided, two from Carson and 2 from Trump. 2 of my newbies swing a pretty big hammer in local political circles. I think I have earned myself a good cigar and a tiny sip of bourbon.

Some time back I remember reading about which states a candidate needed to win to be able to all but avoid the chance of facing a brokered nominating convention. I don't remember the details, and several states have different rules on bound delegates, and different numbers of delegates than they did when I read the study. Does anyone know if there is anything out there that is current, and is it even possible now?

At last night's New Year's Eve gathering I got into a discussion over the poll that showed the Pope tied with Donald Trump for the second most admired person. The Trump supporters were wildly happy about him being compared to a person of such high position. They felt it put in him into an almost exalted status and really reinforced their support. The Catholics present, all very conservative, were saddened almost to the point of embarrassment that their leader, the very top person of the entire Catholic church couldn't get more votes than a NYC reality TV star. They felt...

I recently heard of a comparison between the different primary polling techniques and the wide variance in results. I seem to remember it was from Beck but not sure. I wonder if anyone else heard this. Online polls all show Trump up big. Telephone polls of registered republicans show Trump up but by only a small amount. Telephone polls of likely republican voters show Trump and Cruz virtually tied. I know different polls can give different results but this seems kind of unreal. And I know Beck is a very big non-Trump fan.

I just finished reading a short piece about The Donald's plan to fix the VA medical care system. It seemed that the corner stone of his plan is to allow veterans to get medical help outside the VA hospital system. He is a little late to that party, it's already policy. I don't know if he just came up with a great idea someone already thought of, or is trying to snag a little credit for someone else's work. http://www.va.gov/opa/choiceact/

By almost any metric Ted Cruz is the most conservative candidate we have running in the primary. In 2008 and 2012 there was a large voice that said "No more RINO's", "Give me a conservative or I won't vote", and my favorite "It's not about electability, it's about principles". Millions stayed home rather than vote for the lesser of two evils, allowing a wishy-washy moderate Republican to lose to a hard core, fire breathing, far left Democrat. It was a matter of principle, they said. I wonder what principle is at work here now, that causes so many Freepers to...

Final results for NC Tea Party Caucus, state wide, are in. 1. Cruz - 50.13% 2. Carson - 40.05% 3. Trump - 3.97% 4. Paul - 2.31% Others all below 1% Looks like Trump and Paul didn't make much of an effort, they didn't even have anyone to nominate them at some of the locations. Full results at www.teacaucus.org

Really great article, full of facts(sort of), sound reasoning(so to speak), and logical conclusions(in an irrational sort of way). He proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the big market crunch that is happening now is all Trump's fault. Shame on all you who have blamed the US government's pumping free money into the markets till they collapsed from the shear weight of it. Hexes on all of you who worried that the US was so dependent on China's economy, because of all the debt they hold, that they would take us down with them when they fell. Off...
