LA Times has published a political cartoon by Michael Ramirez of Jews praying at the Wailing Wall with the word 'HATE' made of blocks on the wall. Our Israeli post-doc is being detained in a holding cell by INS at LAX apparently due to some complication with the VISA requirements. She has been employed, and working in our lab at UC for almost two years. She recently left the country to visit relatives and some thing is wrong with her documents now upon her return. Has anyone else noticed that news reporters are more regularly referring to Bush’s ranch in Crawford as the Bush Compound? What about the word on the street that black helicopters have been seen in flying in and out of the area, and sketchy reports that Bush’s guards have fully automatic weapons? My understanding is that Janet Reno has denied that BATF is moving on the Crawford Compound as of yet, but is keeping a close eye on the situation. Since when can we believe anything she says? Maybe this is plan B!!! Look out W!
