  • United passengers predict brawls, threaten boycott as new boarding system takes effect

Customers of one of America’s biggest airlines are expressing outrage after the implementation of a new boarding method, known as WILMA. Starting Thursday, those flying economy on United flights around the country began boarding with the new system, which sees passengers in window seats enter the aircraft first, regardless of the row. Those booked into middle seats subsequently board the plane, followed by those in aisle seats. United says the system helps ease congestion of the plane’s aisles and ultimately speeds up the time it takes for all fliers to take their seats.

Years of budget cuts and staffing shortages have left the New York City Department of Health too hobbled to contain a sharp rise in local cases of tuberculosis, according to a bombshell new report. “TB is the top killer of people worldwide among infectious diseases,” Dr. Bruce Hirsch, infectious disease specialist at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., told The Post. And there have been about 500 active cases of TB in NYC so far in 2023. That’s an increase of about 20% over the same time last year, according to “internal preliminary data” reported by Politico, making 2023...

A topless pregnant transgender man featured on the cover of Glamour U.K.’s June issue ignited a fierce reaction from online critics Thursday. Author Logan Brown, a 27-year-old who was born female but now identifies as a transgender man, posed as the cover star of British Glamour Magazine’s digital issue celebrating Pride Month in a painted-on suit, showcasing a large baby bump. Brown unexpectedly became pregnant with partner Bailey J Mills, a non-binary drag performer in the U.K., while taking a break from testosterone treatments due to health reasons, the fashion magazine said... Brown, who is writing a children’s book called...

“At the end of the day, this is just about fairness,” Chelsea Mitchell told The Post. “This is about biology.” The 20-year-old is fighting for the integrity of women’s sports after she lost more than 20 races over the course of her high school career — thanks to a Connecticut policy that allows transgender athletes to compete in girls sports. Now, Mitchell, who has declared herself “the fastest girl in Connecticut,” is challenging her state’s policy in court. Mitchell is teaming up with fellow Connecticut residents Selina Soule, 20, Ashley Nicoletti, 19, and Alanna Smith, 19, who ran high school...

A Manhattan college professor flipped out on a group of students who set up an information table opposing abortion inside the school building — cursing and tossing their pamphlets, video of the interaction shows. Shellyne Rodriguez, an adjunct professor, told the pro-life students they were “triggering” her students by tabling inside Hunter College in Manhattan earlier this month. The footage was posted to Twitter by Students for Life of America. “You’re not educating s–t. This is f–king propaganda,” the art professor told the students tabling on May 2. “What are you going to do like anti-trans next?” Rodriguez claimed their...

Bud Light has suffered a “staggering” sales hit following the beer brand’s controversial marketing tie-up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney — with the latest data showing an alarming 17% drop, according to an industry research firm. The latest sales data from NielsenIQ and Bump Williams Consulting shows that Bud Light sales fell 17% in dollars, while volume dropped a whopping 21% in the week ended April 15. That’s sharply ahead of the 6% drop in sales dollars and 11% drop in volume that Bud Light had suffered during the week ended April 8 — the seven days that immediately followed...

Chaya Raichik, the founder of the anti-woke social media account “Libs of TikTok,” is publishing her first kid’s book next month... “I wanted to do the next step, which is to give parents and children a tool that they can use to actually be able to spot predatory behavior,” she told The Post... Raichik’s debut picture book, “No More Secrets: The Candy Cavern,” tells the story of Rose, a second-grade lamb whose new teacher, Mr. Wooly, is more bent on giving his pupils sweets than teaching them about counting and reading. Mr. Wooly urges the young lambs not to tell...

President Biden on Monday called for police officers to be retrained so they’re taught not to use deadly force in every situation that requires them to fire their weapon. The 80-year-old president’s comments came during the National Action Network’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Breakfast in Washington, DC, as Biden blasted Senate Republicans for blocking a police reform bill in 2021 that would’ve restricted the use of deadly force by law enforcement officers. “We have to retrain cops,” Biden said. “Why should you always shoot with deadly force? The fact is if you need to use your weapon, you don’t...

An armed robber at a Houston restaurant was fatally shot by a customer when he demanded the other patrons hand over their money, authorities said. The shooting unfolded inside of Ranchito Taqueria around 11:30 p.m. Thursday when a masked suspect walked in the front door, pointed a gun at customers and demanded their money and wallets, Houston Police Department said. Disturbing footage of the incident shows terrified customers hiding under tables as the robber, dressed in all black, marched around and grabbed their belongings, which some had flung on the floor. As the robber heads to the door to leave,...

For years, two administrators at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJ) have been withholding notifications of National Merit awards from the school’s families, most of them Asian, thus denying students the right to use those awards to boost their college-admission prospects and earn scholarships. This episode has emerged amid the school district’s new strategy of “equal outcomes for every student, without exception.” School administrators, for instance, have implemented an “equitable grading” policy that eliminates zeros, gives students a grade of 50 percent just for showing up, and assigns a cryptic code of “NTI” for assignments not turned...

The University of Florida has rescinded a football scholarship offer to a high school prospect for using the n-word while rapping along with a song. Standout quarterback Marcus Stokes, of Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, posted a video of himself mimicking the lyric as he rode in a car. “Welcome back, n—-,” he can be heard saying in the since-deleted two-second clip. “I was in my car listening to rap music, rapping along to the words and posted video of it to social media,” Stokes wrote in a statement Sunday. “I deeply apologize for the words in the...

“Although you won’t be here anymore, I want you to live through me. This system continues to fail us. We are not safe anymore, not even the members of the service. I know you were tired of these laws, especially the ones from the new DA. I hope he’s watching you speak through me right now,” Dominique Luzuriaga told mourners at St. Patrick’s Cathedral as they gave her a standing ovation... As the headmaster of the famed Dalton School resigned over controversial race-based curriculum and policies, another storied Manhattan prep school faced a father’s public wrath over the same issue. Dalton School’s Jim Best announced he was leaving Friday to pursue “other exciting and inspiring opportunities” after 16 years at the school. His departure came after months of controversy at the Upper East Side academic bastion over the school’s “anti-racism” focus. At the same time, a father at the equally prestigious, $54,000-a-year Brearley School sent a scathing, nearly 1700-word letter to the institution’s roughly 600 families over Brearley’s “obsession with race.”...

A white Georgetown Law professor belittled black students during a Zoom call with a colleague, saying they “usually” perform “just plain at the bottom” of her classes, according to video posted online this week. The brief clip, posted to Twitter Wednesday, shows an adjunct professor of law identified by the Georgetown Black Law Students Association as Sandra Sellers and another faculty member, David Batson, having what they believed was a private discussion about a class they jointly taught... “We demand nothing short of the immediate termination of Sandra Sellers as adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center,” the group said...
  • William Shakespeare ditched by woke teachers over ‘misogyny, racism’

William Shakespeare, thou hast been getting canceled. An increasing number of woke teachers are refusing to study the Bard — accusing his classic works of promoting “misogyny, racism, homophobia, classism, anti-Semitism, and misogynoir.” A slew of English literature teachers told the School Library Journal (SLJ) how they were ditching the likes of “Hamlet,” “Macbeth” and “Romeo and Juliet” to instead “make room for modern, diverse, and inclusive voices.” “Shakespeare was a tool used to ‘civilize’ Black and brown people in England’s empire,” insisted Shakespeare scholar Ayanna Thompson, a professor of English at Arizona State University.
