"The Gibson faction has lost the Bahamian elections????? REALLY!!!! Hip Hip HOORAY!!!!! That is fantastic news!!!! Yoohooo!!!!!! Thanks for the info."

Gibson's party, the PLP, lost in the overall election but Shane Gibson won his seat in the Golden Gates constituency. I wonder how this will impact the inquest and any "power" Gibson may have in the overall scheme of things? I hope this means the inquest will move forward!

HKS was worried that Virgie would touch the child and take her DNA to be tested against LB's to prove that HKS was not the father! Yeah, paranoia sets in when you KNOW you are lying :)

Thank goodness DL is away from him!

"Sage advice for forum participation. However If I’m being mugged in the parking lot as you are heading into the store, I hope you’ll hold off shopping after dialling 911."

I was talking about people making snide remarks on the board. If you are getting mugged in the parking lot I am all over the perp! I'd even testify in court to send him up the river! lol

"“””It’s just that people who have been on FR for more than two months are not accustomed to the hate, name calling, and “shouting” that is in some recent posts.””””

    You must be kidding!

I have actually found that the longer you have been online the more you tend to see. Nothing shocks me after 13+ years!! Longevity has probably made it easier to ignore. I admit, I do roll my eyes in disgust at times but then I just consider the source and move on. lol

All I have got to say is I wanna be a grandma but my grown children have not cooperated! LOL Call me a grandma PLEASE! :)

Seriously, I understand what you are saying and agree. Name calling is never good. IMO, bad behavior does not necessarily equate to being a newbie tho. A little respect goes a long way and I tend to just ignore the ones who get out of hand. Well, until I feel the need to say, "Simma Down!" for the sake of my own viewing pleasure that is :)

"You have been a big part of the fun and education - and you are not allowed to go anywhere else until HK$ and KE are in prison, at which time some of us might also be involuntarily committed."

I would personally put them in prison if'n I had the power LOL

"(from a little upstart Newbie who signed on 3/28/2007) LOL"

Don't let the sign up date fool you. I was around a lot longer than that but not posting. I learned much more about the case from reading and researching on my own so I could form my own opinions :) I only decided to sign up and post when I was confident there were people around who knew enough to keep me interested in joining in :)

Seriously, I followed this case long before I ever found my way here which I suspect might be the case with other newbies.

I have enjoyed my stay here so thanks to those who have made it fun and educational! :)

What the ferk is going on around here? Geesh all the fighting and BS! I have been reading but not posting much due to the tone on the board.

All of the fighting between "newbies" and "old-timers" is ridiculous! People need to remember that none of us "own" the board no matter how long we have been around!

The posts tend to get heated at times but people should vent while being respectful of others. Being a newbie on the board does not automatically mean you are uninformed. On the other hand, being an "old-timer" doesn't mean you know it all either. We have come together with a common interest in the ANS case and all deserved to be respected and heard.

Here's hoping we get back to what brought us here in the first place.

Yeah, I know no one asked for my opinion but I gave it anyway cuz, well, I can! LOLOL

    Hugs to you all!

"He doesn’t have custody yet, so how can he do that without HKS claiming that he’s kidnapped the baby?"

That would be like the pot calling the kettle black wouldn't it? **rolls eyes**

"Aren’t there alot of other um “commendable features” at Fox Hill, like almost no way of appealing one’s way out?"

Well, from what I have been able to find out there is no bail if a murder charge comes out of the inquest. Any other charge besides murder could have bail set but they would take into account that he is a flight risk since he is not a Bahamian citizen. Best case scenario is a murder charge so he can sit waiting for trial. The wheels turn slow in the Bahamas so he could sit a while! However, there could be drug charges that carry stiff penalties too. Drug charges are more likely than murder when you look at the burden of proof. They have the airbills for drugs shipped to the Bahamas etc. The only way he can escape any wrongdoing there is IF he applied for the license to have them imported into the Bahamas. I guess it remains to be seen if they brought them in legally.

Once the inquest jurors ask for a murder charge to be brought again HKS, it would then be up to the Attorney General to charge him. IF (please, please, please) the jurors deem Daniel's death a murder at HKS hands, the public could then put the pressure on for the AG to follow through with the charges.

I see this as the only way HKS serves any jail time.

"You nailed it. I’d pay lots to know those details. What a story, book or movie! It would be like Erin Brochovich. Maybe they could get Reba to star as Virgie... hmm."

My favorite part would be the scenes of HKS in Fox Hill begging them to empty the slop bucket he is given as a toilet substitute! They are suppose to empty them once a day but "forget" according to the research I did on the wonderful place :) The stench in the HR room didn't seem to bother him but I bet he squeals like a pig when he is handle his very own slop bucket LOLOL

There is no need to wonder why he is fighting the inquest before he is even charged! Someone PLEASE make sure the inquest happens with the right witnesses and testimony!

If I was LB I would tell Kerrick Ross to stick the lie detector test up his arse! Maybe that would give Kerrick enough satisfaction to move on and get a life!

LB should sue Kerrick and challenge him to prove his allegations!

"Put up or shut up" is my motto for the day! LOL

I hope the Florida case can be re-opened but, in light of what I have seen so far, it is hard to be optimistic! Who is focusing on that? Anyone? The CMB will take forever to investigate and probably pull KE's license (no jail for HKS on that one). We can hope the DEA might come up with some drug trafficking charges but how hard are they looking at this case since Perper and the Seminole Police Dept are not interested in it?

I am trying to be realistic here and it looks like, to me anyway, that the best shot of getting HKS to serve any jail time for his part in all of this is to move the inquest forward while keeping a close eye on how it is handled.

HKS has an "in" with Shane Gibson who is running for a PLP office (will probably win too). However, in light of the scandal he was in with ANS, I think there is enough pressure that can be applied to keep the inquest going IF there is someone staying in the hunt here. Who is going to do that? Virgie seems like the likely choice with her law enforcement background and as Daniel's non-minor, next of kin. She says she wants justice ... stick with the inquest and she can get the one person she holds responsible .... HKS! There is no money train attached to it but there is satisfaction in knowing HKS is paying for his crimes. Fox Hill would be better than any jail he might see in the US!

If she saw this through and HKS went to prison she could make money from a book, movie etc to offset her expenses. That story would be one I would want to see and hear! She would win the respect of many people and put the "Virgie just wants money" accusations to rest. Put justice for her family first and the rest will fall into place.

So much for my 2 cents LOL

"And it would seem she would have the right to sue for wrongful death even without guardianship of Dannilynn." I am not clear on this after looking at Florida law on wrongful death suits. My thoughts are this ... If it is not clear that she is the rightful peson to do this without some type of guardianship, why even muddy the water further? Go for what can make a difference! Keep a close eye on the inquest, make sure the witness list is complete, solidify Bahamian political and legal connections that will assure the inquest goes forward and not thrown to the wayside. There is a lot she can do to put the pressure on HKS!

I truly believe if she went this route instead of seeking guardianship of DL that she could put HKS in jail and secure a loving relationhip with DL and LB.

"If we don't get another shot at him at the inquest or reopening of Anna's case, I'm gonna be fit to be tied! grrrrrr"

I wish the Virgie camp would focus on the inquest.

Trying to get guardianship of DL in order to pursue a wrongful death suit is not the right course of action, in my opinion. It steps on LB's rights as a father and does not put the emphasis on "jail time" for HKS.

The inquest can put HKS in Fox Hill Prison. If Virgie wants justice for Daniel and Anna this is her best shot! She would not benfit monetarily but she would have the justice she said was important to her! Someone needs to step up and make sure the inquest moves forward!
