Our local Maine affiliate, WABI TV Bangor has blacked out all Dish customers. They are demanding 6 times more money than Dish pays other networks to broadcast. This means no CBS NFL games and no New England Patriots games. I have voiced my concern on their Facebook page (WABI TV) only to have been blocked..imagine, a news outlet blocking someones opinion and views, just unreal. I'm sure that WABI TV has not reduced their adverting fees to correspond with the 1/3 less viewing audience. When I stated that on their Facebook page that's when I got blocked and that's when...

Sen. Biden Questions Airstikes’ Drudge Report ^ | Wed Oct 24 2001 10:22:37 ET | Wilmington News Journal Posted on 10/24/2001 10:47:54 PM by tomball The top Democratic lawmaker on foreign policy said Monday that unless the bombing of Afghanistan ends “sooner rather than later,” America risks looking like a “high-tech bully,” the Wilmington News Journal reports. “Every moment it goes on, it makes the aftermath problems more severe,” said Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. Speaking to the Council on Foreign Relations, a nonpartisan group of foreign policy experts, Biden said he understands the bombing...

Officially banned from the NAACP face book site. I asked them what program(s) they supported from the obama administration. 91% approval rating in the black community..my curiosity compels me to ask if it is only because of his skin color. LOL..I asked the wrong question.

Receiving emails about the Tim Adams story being banned...anyone else? Very odd.

One of the questions: "What President was born in Hawaii and has the papers to prove it?" I found that very interesting....did Barry provide the long form and I missed it? I have noticed a sharp liberal slant in the questions over the past couple of years. How about this: "What former White House employee has a nice black dress with Presidential DNA on it's front?"

Good Sunday Morning to all. A couple of weeks I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I have been tracking my sugar levels and meet with Doc. tomorrow. My readings have been as low as 180 and as high as 450. The Doc. told me to expect to go on 'injections'. I have gobbled up all kinds of diabetes info...changed my diet...the whole 9. Anyone out there with diabetes..with the type of readings I am getting from the glucometer...are my options limited to injections? My Doc. is hell bent on it..has ruled out tablets. Any thoughts? Thanks a bunch.

AUGUSTA -- Maine has the highest rate of obesity in New England, a statistic lawmakers and health advocates say they want to address with a three-pronged approach. "It's estimated that 30 percent of our youth are overweight or obese," said Gov. John Baldacci. "This is a critical public health issue, especially when it comes to our children's health." Baldacci, House Speaker Hannah Pingree, D-North Haven, and public health advocates met Wednesday to highlight three new state laws aimed at curbing obesity. Pingree sponsored the most controversial measure, which requires chain restaurants to post calorie information on their menus and menu...

Thank you in advance. The company I work for allows gay/lesbians to gather and hold meetings re: workplace treatment, etc. This is PAID time at the company site. So they are allowed 2 hour blocks of time, paid..to NOT work while others (non-gay) must work. Is this legal? Any feedback will be very appreciated.

I may be relocating to Charlotte...any info. would be great. Looking for info. as to the best part of town and what area to avoid. I have children so would like to avoid a high crime section. Any help would be greatly appreciated...the 'net really doesn't say what area's are nice and which ones to avoid.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - If the Pittsburgh Steelers are determined to win one for Bill Cowher, they're certainly not acting like it. With the Steelers (7-8) now out of playoff contention, the focus for their season-ending game Sunday at Cincinnati has shifted to the possible resignation of Bill Cowher less than 11 months after he coached them to a Super Bowl victory. Except, it seems, in their own locker room. "No, that's not the motivation," linebacker Joey Porter said Wednesday. "I don't think nobody is using that because he's never said anything like that to us.

Today's Democrats are nothing like Presidents Roosevelt, Truman and Kennedy, who with courage and decisive action kept on top of their jobs and aggressively confronted one national defense crisis after another.
-
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Bill Cowher isn't blaming Ben Roethlisberger's frequent interceptions for the Pittsburgh Steelers' terrible record. Or a major falloff by the special teams. Or a surprisingly inconsistent offensive line. Cowher is faulting the boss.
