The main problem with a certain group of supposed Republicans is they think Trump and the bar of the conservative movement are “common”.

You have no idea how insular the group is, news wise. They talk and think stuff that is simply untrue, factually. Literally never hear most significant news.
And there is massive cognitive dissonance when I point things out.
It’s like the old saying: it’s far harder to convince someone they have been conned than to con them in the first place.
