Trump appeared on Meet The Press on October 24, 1999, where he had several exchanges with Tim Russert: RUSSERT: Do you think gays should be allowed to be married? TRUMP: It’s something I haven’t given lots of thought to. I live in New York City, there is a tremendous movement on to have and allow gay marriage. It’s just something that is too premature for me to comment on. RUSSERT: How about gays serving in the military? TRUMP: It would not disturb me. I mean, hey, I lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, so my views...

Donald Trump, George Wallace, Jesse Jackson and the power of outsiderism How is Donald Trump like George C. Wallace and Jesse Jackson? That question is neither a joke nor a Zen koan. In some important ways, he resembles both the late segregationist firebrand and the African American civil rights leader. Wallace served several terms as governor of Alabama. He ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1964, 1972, and 1976, and won 13.5 percent of the popular vote as an independent candidate in 1968. His daughter recently told Buzzfeed that political strategy was similar to Trump’s. “The two of them,...

e Rev. Al Sharpton thinks Donald Trump has run a “great†media campaign in his bid for the White House — and believes the Republican is like a white version of his pal Don King. Sharpton, in a wide-ranging interview with the Daily News editorial board Thursday, said he’d probably get in trouble for saying it, but admitted that the similarities between the boxing promoter and the real estate tycoon are striking. Sometime in the next year, a company called Boyalife Genomics will open a massive factory in the coastal Chinese city of Tianjin, where it plans to clone 100,000 cattle per year—a way to address the Middle Kingdom’s rising appetite for beef. Eventually,...

complete title...Kwanzaa: As fictional as Festivus -- so why does Obama call it a “vibrant celebration of African culture ".... Kwanzaa is a complete fabrication. A make-believe holiday invented by an ex-convict, Ron N. Everett, who is known today as Dr. Maulana Karenga. In addition to having a nasty penchant for torture, Karenga was described by a prison psychiatrist as “both paranoid and schizophrenic with hallucinations.†Not exactly Santa Claus, eh? Listen in while I tell the tale of how Karenga’s “truthiness†got validation in our politically correct times leaving us with a totally make-believe holiday. As we continue the...
