The Great Divide By: Bill O'Reilly for BillOReilly.com Thursday, Jan 27, 2005 Although he'd never admit it, President Bush is not a "uniter." In fact, I don't think any human being could unite America right now. Three primary issues form the wedge: Fighting terrorism, redistributing income, and accepting controversial behavior. Progressive Americans want the government to impose high taxes on affluent Americans and spend the money on entitlements like medical treatment for those less well off. Conservative Americans believe this kind of tax imposition goes against the capitalistic system and would greatly damage the economy. Many progressives also want to...

Granted, even if we found absolutely no WMD's, the war was justified for so many other reasons, why do Republicans not acknowledge more (for example, on the floor today debating Rice's confirmation) that we have found them. I read a good article I think on newsmax.com the other day that said found tons of ricin, some sarin bombs, uranium, etc. They aren't the stockpiles Bush promised, but one sarin bomb is enough to kill plenty of people as is one hidden suitcse of anthrax. The point is there were enough WMD in Iraq for Hussein to kill people with if...

If anyone isn't feeling so well and thinks that throwing up will make them feel better, take a look at Newsday today and there first part of I think a six part special on the "Costs of the Iraq War." It basically is one of the most biased hit pieces against Bush and the administration and the war. It is one of the most disgusting pieces of "journalism" I have ever seen. They go on and on basically throughout the whole news section today warning about how an election that will include a bigger percentage of Iraqi citizens than Americans...

I really wish conservatives would do a better job explaining why we are in Iraq. They always refer directly to the 9/11 attacks, which leaves an opening for the likes of that idiot Janine Gerafalo (definitely not spelled right) to say "what does Iraq have to do with 9/11?" We have to do a better job to explain it to the people that are wavering. If we go back to President Bush's speech on September 20, 2001, you will see that he makes clear that 9/11 was a wake up call not to only go after those who attacked us...

I posted on here a month or so ago asking a question about Christian views about Jews and others. I got about 500 answers! Basically, I am of both faiths (my mom is Lutheran; my dad is Jewish; I was raised Jewish; but Orthodox don't recognize my Jewishness because my mom is Christian!). I was watching the "O'Reilly Factor" tonight. He had on the "Left Behind" authors. What I got from the conversation was that Protestants have a strict interpratation about who can move on (only those who have accepted Christ as the savior), while Catholics are more open. I'd...

Liberals have often left me teetering on the brink of insanity after hearing them speak, but after watching the repeat of Hannity and Colmes I am beyond words (well I am really not because I am writing this now). They had this professor on from the University of Texas named Robert Jansen who said he hopes our country loses the Iraq War. Now, I don't know if simply rooting for your country to lose (or in other words rooting for the enemy and death of our brave soldiers) in a war is criminal (maybe some law freepers can help me...

Hey guys, even though I know a lot of you hate O'Reilly , mainly because of the way he treated the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, he is actually doing something good for one of them. As you know, Steve Gardner is out of a job and I think it had something to do with his participation in the group. Anyways, O'Reilly had him on last night about the fact that he can't find a job. Bill wants anyone that has job prospects for him or any other connections to email the show. Just go to www.billoreilly.com and a link...

What would happen if there was an objection and the Democrats were in control of Congress, and they agreed with the objection to Ohio's electoral votes? Would that overturn the election? If not, what would be the next step after they voted to agree with the objection?

Use people power against genocide By SHMULEY BOTEACH Two things were on my mind as I watched Hotel Rwanda, the stunning depiction of the 1994 Rwandan Tutsi extermination that was the fastest genocide in the history of the world. The first was Hollywood, and how I owed it an apology for the many times I have railed against its degeneracy. A film this powerful shames the world out of its indifference to the slaughter of helpless humans and demonstrates the potential of movies to reach the places photos and words cannot. The second was Bill Clinton, the great 60's liberal...

Sergeant Courageous By: Bill O'Reilly for BillOReilly.com Thursday, Dec 23, 2004 The first thing you notice about Army Sgt. Manuel Mendoza is his charismatic smile--Tom Cruise would be envious. The second thing you notice as he lies in his hospital bed is that half his body is missing, blown away by a roadside bomb that destroyed the Armored Personnel Carrier he was commanding in Sadr City, Iraq. Mendoza's life was altered forever last October 3rd. Within a week of his injury, he was under treatment at the Walter Reed military hospital in Washington, DC. Now he spends his days coming...

Hey fellow freepers, having been swept up in the battle of conservatives first liberals and believers in God vs. non-beleivers I clearly have chosen the right side here (hence me writing on Free Republic). The alignment of Jews like myself and many fellow Christians is one that I feel is very necesary to win the war against evil and have peace in our time. Although I choose to ignore all the leftists and others who try to break up this loving partnership by saying "They are only on your side becuase they want the Jews in control of Jerusalem so...

Alright, I am getting conflicting numbers depending on where I look. After yesterdays two runoffs, I'd like any freeper to help me with the answers to these 3 questions. 1) How many seats did we have in the house at the start of the 108th (2002) Congress? 2) How many seats did we have the day before the election in the house (I heard that the # in our column had gone back and forth.)? 3) How many House seats do we have after Saturday (party breakdown)? Thanks guys.

False tears and moral bankruptcy By SHMULEY BOTEACH From the way world leaders reacted to the death of Yasser Arafat, you could be forgiven if you had mistakenly believed that Mother Theresa had died. Kofi Annan declared himself "deeply moved" by Arafat's death and ordered the UN flag flown at half mast. This is the same Annan who overruled UN General Romeo Dallaire in April 1994 and ordered him not to use his UN forces to disarm the Hutus and prevent them from hacking to death 800,000 Tutsis. Annan is undeniably corrupt (he is currently blocking US Senate efforts to...

I have been over at the dummies website and they really are expressing some whacked out confidence that there will be a recount and Kerry will be declared the winner after (someone needs to get them help). Not that I am worried becuse I am 100% confident it will give us a larger margin of victory due to the real fraud that went on from the democrat side. However, I am interested to know from anyone that has credible knowledge of the situation if there really will be recount or not. Thanks.

Somone help me out here. Right now from what I have read we are at 231-200-1 in the house with 3 seats to be determined, one in Georgia that should go Democrat and two in Louisiana that will be decided on December 4th (which should go both Republican) making the final total 233-200-1. What total pickup woould that be, +4 or +6? I forget what we had before, if it was 227 or 229. Thanks.

Yes we won, but as I sit here in my desk at the RNC ready to be let go now that we have one, these are two things that I hope we continue to push. FIrst off, there is no doubt that the voter supression/intimidation/violence existed on one side and one side only, the dumbocrats. We need to ensure that we let everyone out there know who performed these horrific actions so that we never again allow ourselves to be painted as the ones who supress the vote. Secondly, I really think the first exit polls were not only total...

Bush just had a last minute press conference. He looked confident, upbeat, happy, etc., etc., etc. I think he is pretty confident what the outcome will be!!!!!!!

So Russia came in to take the weapons out of Iraq to Syria before the war. You know this could mean that this included weapons of mass destruction. Bush and his administration could have known this all along, but did not make it public either due to national security reasons or because they did not want a confrontation with Russia. Either way, what Kerry has done for our side is let us now go back to the question: Besides the high level explosives the Russians took out, could they also have removed WMD's that Iraq was in possession of(as we...

I just watched a segment on the O'Reilly factor with Dick Morris. Morris made a great point. The parties involved in this smear are the UN, CBS, the New York Times, and the Kerry campaign. Not exactly the circle of parties I would want to be involved in if I were Kerry. What this story says is at the most Kerry got early word from these groups about this fake story to hurt Bush and at the least, Kerry immediately used a story from these three sources to hurt Bush without even checking its credibility. These groups are a joke...
