BRADENTON -- Two people are dead after an early-morning shooting in Bradenton being described as a home invasion. Officials said there were five children in the home at the time of the shooting. According to Bradenton police, officers responded to reports of a shooting at a home in the 3900 block of Southern Parkway just before 4 a.m. When they arrived at the home, officers discovered two people dead, which appear to be the homeowners. A man's body was found near the door while a woman's body was found in a hallway.

Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting and robbery attempt at a home in Seffner. According to authorities, the shooting happened after an early-morning confrontation over an ATV at a home at 1602 Taylor Road. Officials said the homeowner, a 35-year-old man, awoke to his dogs barking at 4 a.m. When he went outside of the home to investigate, he was confronted by two suspects who ordered him to the ground. The suspects grabbed an ATV that was parked outside the residence and began rolling it to their vehicle parked nearby.
